March 07, 2022It’s no secret that fashion trends are derived from what debuts on the runways during fashion week. But runway shows feature much more than just clothing and accessories — the model’s makeup looks and hairstyles often give a preview of what’s to come in the beauty space.
And while this most recent fashion week featured new trends for next winter, there’s always a way to put a spring spin on the looks. So ahead, we’re sharing the seven best beauty trends from the runways — and how to rock them this spring season.
Love it or hate it, the bleached brows trend is coming back. Major designers had models sporting barely there brows paired with deep eye makeup. To give the look a spring twist, tone it down by pairing them with more minimal makeup.
Arguably one of the most common makeup trends at fashion week was skinimalism — or more minimal makeup, which allows the skin to shine naturally. It’s a perfect trend to sport during the spring as temperatures rise, and heavy complexion makeup could slip and slide around.
Use the L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect 4-in-1 Tinted Face Balm Foundation to even out your skin tone while maintaining its natural appearance. The balm-like consistency is smooth and easy to blend.
Considering how viral reverse cat eyeliner went last year, it’s no surprise that smoked eyeliner styles are still ultra-popular. Smudged, sultry eyeliner and eyeshadow looks completely dominated the runways. While they were typically created using black and navy hues, you can lower the intensity for spring by recreating a smoked liner look in brown, olive green, or other more subdued shades.
Gen Z was onto something — middle parts really are it these days. We can’t even count the amount of runway shows that featured models sporting middle parts. The good thing is, you can create a middle part with a multitude of styles — even updos to keep you cool during the warmer months.
Models are known to wear slicked back hairstyles while off duty, and this season it was also an on-duty look as it was all over the runways. Wearing a sleek style is a great option when you’re trying to keep your hair out of your face, plus it’s perfect for camouflaging greasiness, too.
Slick back your hair with a lightweight gel and then set it in place with the L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold, Light Hairspray Unscented.
