How to Get a Vintage Pin Up Girl Makeup Look How to Get a Vintage Pin Up Girl Makeup Look How to Get a Vintage Pin Up Girl Makeup Look

It might be the 21st century, but that doesn’t mean a decades-old pin up girl makeup look isn’t equally as alluring in the modern day. It’s renowned for simple face makeup paired with winged eyeliner, a bold red lip, and an equally as eye-catching victory roll hairstyle. Sound like something you might want to try on for size? Here, we introduce you to the face makeup, eye makeup, and lip color products to bring your retro makeup look to life.

Step 1: Prime Your Face

If you’re going to take the time to perfect a perfect pin-up beauty look, you might as well take the time to make sure it lasts. To do so, determine whether you want to rock a glowing or matte finish and apply the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Lock Makeup Primer or L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Lock Makeup Primer accordingly.

Step 2: Apply Foundation

Next, it’s time for some coverage to achieve that prized porcelain pin-up look. Again, think about the finish you want flaunt and apply the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation or L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation accordingly using a stippling motion and a L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender.

Step 3: Touch Up with Concealer

After applying foundation, take note of any areas that could use a little extra coverage or brightening. Apply the L’Oréal Paris True Match™ Super-Blendable Multi-Use Concealer in those areas, making sure to blend everything out for a natural look.

Step 4: Apply Blush

Yup, we’re skipping the contour and highlight and skipping straight to blush. That’s because back in the day, makeup not only looked simple, but actually was. To get the look, apply some of the L’Oréal Paris Paradise Enchanted Fruit-Scented Blush Makeup or L’Oréal Paris infallible Longwear Blush Shaping Stick onto the apples of your cheeks, sweeping up towards your temples.

Step 5: Lock Your Look with Setting Powder or Spray

Now that your face makeup look is complete, make it last with a quick dusting of the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Sweep & Lock Loose Setting Powder or spritz of the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray

Step 6: Apply Light Eye Shadow

Eye makeup time. When it comes to your lids, keep it simple with the lightest colors from the L’Oréal Paris Paradise Enchanted Scented Eyeshadow Palette. You can use one color allover your lid or use two to create a slight contour along your crease. You choose!

Step 7: Trace Kitten Tips

Next, trace your lash lines with the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Liquid Eyeliner, swooping ever so slightly upwards at the outer corners to create the perfect kitten flick.

Step 8: Apply Mascara

No matter the decade, no eye makeup look is complete without done-up lashes. To make the most of your makeup, start by coating your lashes with the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara Primer/Base followed by the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara in Mystic Black.

Step 9: Pencil in Eyebrows

Back in the day, super filled-in eyebrows weren’t the look. Instead, eyebrows just looked naturally full thanks to not being over-plucked and then regrown in. To get the look, use an ultra-fine eyebrow pencil, like the L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Definer Mechanical Pencil, to create small hair-like strokes in your eyebrows that look au naturel.

Step 10: Finish with a Bold Red Lip

Last but not least, pucker up! Take the top off the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Matte Lipstick in Matte-ly In Love and fill your lips in, taking the time to accentuate your cupid’s bow and slightly over-line your lips for the ultimate pin-up pout.
