As a beauty lover, you probably encounter quite the dilemma each day trying to figure out which makeup look you want to rock. Since weekday and weekend looks tend to vary, not to mention day versus night, there are plenty of products and techniques to consider using. Foundation, BB cream, highlighter, matte, or metallic—what’s a girl supposed to choose? To help make your mornings a little less stressful, we share five of our favorite everyday makeup looks below. No matter the day, these makeup tutorials can have a place in your beauty routine—and the best part is, they’re super-simple to create! Everyday makeover, anyone? Grab your cosmetics bag and give them all a try.
What sounds like quite the contradiction is actually one of our absolute favorite makeup trends. Where once upon a time trendy makeup applications were all about the perfect cut crease or dramatic smoky eye, nowadays embracing your born-with-it beauty and playing it up a bit for a natural-looking nude finish is what it’s all about.
What you’ll need:
L’Oréal Paris Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Color Correcting Kit
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender
L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Nude
L’Oréal Paris Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner in Brown
L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Kabuki Blender
L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara
L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Matte Lipstick in Matte-cademia
Get the look by following these simple steps:
Step 1: Prime your skin. The best way to create a makeup look that lasts is to start your makeup application with a smoothing primer. Apply yours over your entire face to create an even canvas for the rest of your makeup application.
Step 2: Color correct any imperfections. Before applying any foundation, pop open your color correcting concealer palette to neutralize the look of any discolorations. Just remember, green concealer works to cancel out redness, lavender concealer works to combat dullness, peach concealer camouflages dark under-eyes, and yellow concealer works for all other discolorations.
Step 3: Use a matte foundation. Once you’re done blending in your pastel concealer shades, apply a matte foundation over your face, dabbing it onto your skin with a makeup blending sponge.
Step 4: Prime your lids. Just as primer can help your foundation and concealer go on easier, it can also help make for a smoother eye makeup application as well. Use an eye shadow primer or apply a touch of foundation or concealer to your lids.
Step 5: Apply nude shadow to your lids. Now that your lids are primed, pop open your nude eye shadow palette and apply a solid wash of the second nude color from the left onto your lids. Next, add a touch of the third color into your crease for a little depth, followed by a swipe of the lightest color along your brow bone to create a pretty highlighted effect.
Step 6: Apply brown eyeliner. To open the look of your eyes a bit, dot your lash lines with the your brown eyeliner. Be sure to dot and not draw a full line. This will look more natural and help create the appearance of fuller lashes as opposed to a bold, harsh line.
Step 7: Lightly define your brows. Since you won’t be wearing a ton of color, all attention will be on your features. So, make sure to define your brows a bit with a brow pomade to frame your nude look.
Step 8: Apply a coat or two of mascara. Top your eyes off with a coat of volumizing mascara for the last eye detail.
Step 9: Finish with nude lipstick. Finish your makeup look with a coat of matte lipstick. And there you have it: a gorgeous, no makeup, makeup look that’s sure to turn heads. Wear it to brunch, the office, on a date—you name it!

Step 1: Prime your skin. You want your makeup to look crease-free, right? Simply apply a small amount of face primer from forehead to chin, and you’ll be good to go!
Step 2: Color correct any imperfections. Hide any redness, perk up any dullness, and neutralize any other discolorations with a few quick dabs of color correcting concealer.
Step 3: Create a glowing base. Next up: a gorgeous, dewy-looking complexion. To get the look, squeeze a radiant finish foundation onto a makeup blending sponge and apply a thin layer across your entire face.
Step 4: Brighten your under-eye area. Draw an upside-down triangle under each eye using a radiant finish concealer, then blend it out with a makeup blending sponge.
Step 5: Apply blush. To give yourself the look of youthful radiance, dust a peach blush onto each of your cheeks, sweeping the color in an up and out motion from your cheekbone to your temples.
Step 6: Prime your lids. A dab of the yellow concealer from your color correcting kit will do the trick!
Step 7: Create a two-toned pink and nude eye. Next, dust your lids with a nude shade from your eye shadow palette, followed by a touch of pink in your crease.
Step 8: Give your lashes some love. A swipe or two of volumizing mascara is all you need.
Step 9: Define your brows. Use your brow pencil to trace a line along the underside of your brow before blending it all upwards for a fuller, natural-looking set of brows.
Step 10: Perk up your pout. Top it off with a pretty pink coat of matte lipstick. Pucker up buttercup because you look so pretty in pink!
You’ve seen them on runways and in your social media feeds—now it’s time to bring the model-approved glossy makeup look to real life. Lucky for you, it doesn’t require a personal makeup artist to get this A-list look. Just follow our makeup tutorial below!

Clear lip gloss
Step 1: Apply eye primer. Help prevent creasing with a quick dab of eye primer before applying any eye shadow.
Step 2: Coat your lids in peach eye shadow. Next, coat your eyes in the color of your choice—we particularly love peach at the moment, since it’s totally on trend.
Step 3: Top your lids off with gloss. Now, this might sound silly, but trust us—unscrew the wand of your clear lip gloss and lightly apply it overtop of your eye shadow. A little gloss goes a long way, so start off light and add more if necessary.
Step 4: Next up, mascara. A coat of volumizing mascara will help add just enough definition to your glossy look.
Step 5: Gloss it up! Finish with a coat of lip gloss on your pout and you’re runway ready…or, you know, ready for a day at the office.
Depending on your eye shape, the right shadowing technique can make all the difference in the world. No matter the colors you use, here’s how to get a contoured look that’s perfect for everyday.
If you have round eyes… apply dark shades to the center of your eyes, and use light shades to highlight the corners.
If you have almond eyes… apply a matte brown eye shadow to your lid and work a darker shade into the outer crease to create depth.
If you have monolid eyes… create a gradient effect with your eye shadows to add dimension. Start with a darker shade on the outer half of your lid and a lighter shade on the inner.
If you have hooded eyes… dark matte shadow across your lid will work wonders at opening up the look of your eyes.
If you have small eyes… use lighter eye shadows to create the appearance of more lid space.
If you have protruding eyes… use shimmery eye shadow over your entire lid, followed by a darker shade in the crease.
If you have downturned eyes… apply lighter eye shadow to the outer two-thirds of your eye to create a lifted look through highlighting.
If you have upturned eyes… focus dark shadow on outer lower corner of the eye to balance your shade out.
Always finish with mascara and a little eyeliner, too!
