I Tried It LOP Tinted Serum CMS Bmag

face makeup I Have Combination Skin, Here’s What Happened When I Tried the L’Oréal Paris Hyaluronic Tinted Serum

Spoiler alert: it exceeded my expectations!

Having combination skin means that most of the time I’m battling both oily and dry spots on my face. My T-Zone is always shiny while around my nose and cheeks Is basically the Sahara. This has always made it difficult to commit to makeup-skincare hybrid products, simply because I could never find one that provides me enough coverage to hide my excess oil and enough hydration to moisturize my dry areas. L’Oréal Paris must have been listening to my prayers to the makeup gods when they created the True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum.  This formula promises non-comedogenic coverage to seamlessly blend into the skin and a whopping 1 percent of hyaluronic acid for hydration, so I couldn’t wait to give it a try.

How did you apply it? With a brush? With your fingers? After applying the tinted serum for the first time, I immediately loved how lightweight it felt on my skin. I decided to apply two layers  to my entire face to ensure I had enough coverage, and I did add a heavier concealer on areas I wanted to mask completely: on a few blemishes and my under-eye circles. Then, I completed my makeup routine with some eye makeup, blush, bronzer and highlighter. One of my other favorite things about this serum is the fact that it was so easy to layer all these makeup products right on top, with no pills in sight. It also generally made my skin look brighter, more even and radiant — but seemed to help tame my oily areas with ease.

By the time the afternoon rolled around, I did have to touch up a few areas with concealer, but one thing that certainly wasn’t lacking was how hydrated my dry areas around my nose and cheeks felt. It was apparent that the hyaluronic acid was working — my skin looked fresh for hours. Coverage-wise, it was definitely a little lighter than I’d typically prefer, but I loved having the freedom to apply more layers throughout the day if needed, this serum served as the ultimate base product.

My combination skin loved this tinted serum simply because it nicely struck the balance between coverage and hydration. I’d still definitely continue to use it with a few more makeup products for a more maximalist finish, but if you love a minimal makeup look, the True Match Nude Hyaluronic Tinted Serum can stand alone! This serum taught me to embrace makeup-skincare hybrid products, and I can’t wait to try more.
