Pastel Eyeshadow Looks

The dark and dreary days are coming to an end and the sunshine is making its long awaited return. With this, we’re ready to put a pause on sultry smokey eyes and trade them in for brighter, fresher looks.

This season, pastel makeup is a major makeup trend and it’s the perfect way to incorporate some much needed color into our lives. If you too are excited to up your makeup game and give pastel colors a try, then keep reading because we’re sharing some of our favorite pastel makeup looks below.

1. Frosty Pastel

There’s no better way to brighten up your eyes than by adorning them in a pastel color with a shimmery finish that catches light well.

Sweep a fair, frosty shade, like the L’Oréal Paris Brilliant Eyes Shimmer Liquid Eye Shadow Makeup in String of Pearls, all over your lids and be sure to blend some into your inner corners to make your eyes pop even more.

2. Simple Wash of Pastel

One of the best parts of wearing pastel makeup is that the colors are a statement all on their own, meaning you can opt for a very simple technique and still come out with an eye-catching look.

Blend a pastel eyeshadow all over your lids with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. If you feel like your eyes need more definition, you can create a soft eyeshadow eyeliner with a matte shadow in the same color family as the shade on your lid. This makes for a gorgeous monochromatic look.

3. Glossy Pastel Lids

For a gorgeous editorial look, try creating a pastel eyeshadow look with a glossy finish. Apply your desired shade to your lid and then top it off with an eye-safe gloss. While this might not last all day and night, it’s perfect for a photoshoot or a brief special occasion.

Top the look off with a volumizing mascara like the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Washable Mascara.

4. Pastel Lids and Winged Liner

Put a classic spin on your pastel makeup look by creating it in combination with winged eyeliner. The bold liner will also ground the look and give your eyes extra definition.

Apply your favorite pastel shade and then create your wing with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner.

5. Ombré Pastel

If you want to test your artistry skills, try out an ombré pastel eyeshadow look. The blend of light shades looks like a watercolor painting, and it’s the perfect statement eye look for the warmer months.

Take it to the next level by applying a shimmery, translucent eyeshadow on top for added shine and brilliance.
