When it comes to coloring your hair, you probably start by asking yourself what color should you dye your hair. And while we know the decision can be tough (so many gorgeous colors to choose from), using the L'Oréal Paris Color Concierge to consult with a professional can be a total savior. Once you’ve nailed your heavenly new hue, the next question you’re naturally likely asking is how do you keep your color fresh and vibrant. Fortunately, just like you can achieve a stunning new hair color at home, you can also keep it looking its best from home with the L’Oréal Paris Le Color Gloss One Step In-Shower Toning Gloss. The best part? You can easily get it at Walmart, it will save you money in addition to trips to the salon and it’s simple to incorporate into your regular hair care routine.

What Is A Hair Toning Gloss?

The L’Oréal Paris Le Color Gloss One Step In-Shower Toning Gloss is an at-home treatment that works to enhance your hair color and tone, while also deeply conditioning your strands. It’s formulated with a coconut oil-infused deep-conditioning base and can be used on all hair types and textures. While hair toning gloss is typically thought of as an in-salon treatment, this product can be used in just 15 minutes at home. There’s no mixing involved—you can just add it to your wash day routine for enhanced color and for a boost of shine to your strands.

How To Add A Hair Gloss To Your Hair Care Routine

Using a salon-inspired gloss is easier than you might think.  Adding it to your hair care regimen is as easy as following the steps below.

1. Pick Your Shade

The Le Color Gloss line features nine enhancing color shades, so start by picking a hue based on your current color. For those with colored-treated or natural gray and silver hair, be sure to grab the L’Oréal Paris Le Color Gloss One Step In-Shower Toning Gloss in Silver, exclusively available at Walmart.

Editor’s Tip: Have virgin hair? You can use the clear formula to deep condition your hair while enhancing its natural hue.

2. Wash and Condition Your Hair

The toning gloss is made to be used on clean, damp hair, so add it right after your shampoo and conditioner routine. If you’re swapping out your regular shampoo to fight brass in color-treated blonde hair, light brown hair or gray hair you can still use the hair gloss. Simply grab your brass neutralizing system, like the L’Oréal Paris Everpure Brass Toning Purple Sulfate Free Shampoo and L’Oréal Paris Everpure Brass Toning Purple Sulfate Free Conditioner to hydrate and counterbalance yellow, and orange tones in the hair.

3. Apply Product In The Shower

Follow up by squeezing a generous amount of the hair gloss into your palms. Massage it into your roots and along the lengths of your mane, then let it sit for 15 minutes. After that, rinse out your hair until the water runs clear and you’re all done!

Editor’s Tip: The gloss may stain your hands, so wear a pair of disposable gloves to shield your skin. If your skin does get stained, wash thoroughly with soap and water.

4. Complete Touch Ups

This hair color gloss can last up to 10 days depending on your hair’s condition and how often you shampoo. If you love your results but want a deeper hue, try using the gloss again after seven days. If you’re ready for a change before then, you can remove the color with a clarifying shampoo.
