May 30, 2022Since 1997, L’Oréal Paris has been a part of the Cannes Film Festival — this year marked 25 years of the brand’s partnership with the event. As the official makeup artist of the film festival, the brand enjoys a front row seat to all the red carpet fashion, A-list guests and industry-changing cinema.
Based on their makeup looks, its safe to say that dramatic eyes are sticking around for summer. Longoria, paired her dramatic eyeliner with a high pony. The actress is known for having range, sporting classic looks to full glam and everything in between. She’s also known for glowing, radiant skin, even out of makeup — which makes us want to stock up on the L’Oréal Paris Revitalift 1.5% Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which hydrates and plumps the skin for a youthful complexion.
Soo Joo and Aishwarya Rai also both had a dramatic eye as the focus of their beauty look, with Soo Joo flaunting a sleek waterlined eye with a sparkly inner corner and Rai using wispy lashes and overstated eyeliner for a more feminine effect.
To mimic their creative eye looks, reach for the L’Oréal Paris Pro-Last Waterproof, Up to 24HR Pencil Eyeliner, which comes in 15 shades and stays smudge-proof for up to 24 hours. Pair it with the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Washable Mascara to give your lashes volume, length and lift.
In addition to contributing the breathtaking beauty looks at the Cannes Film Festival, L’Oréal Paris also participates in the awards. Last year, the brand launched the Lights on Women Award to recognize promising women directors in the short film category, Spokesperson and Cannes Film Festival juror Kate Winslet presented the inaugural award to director Aleksandra Odić for her short film Frida in 2021.
