I have used this product for many years and noticed stores no longer carry it as of a year ago so I had to get it from Amazon. Now it looks like everyone on Amazon is out! I have tried so many alternatives like the TXT IT and even the new Dove line, and nothing even compares to the hold and matte finish of this product. All others are too sticky, don't hold long enough, or are too oily. Please bring this one back!

No hold; Poor replacement for TXT IT 02

L'Oréal had an amazing product called TXT IT 02 that they discontinued earlier this year, much to my dismay. This website suggests using Overworked as a comparable alternative. I tried Overworked and found it to an underwhelming waste of my money. This stuff provides very little hold and even less definition to my hair. Unless L'Oréal brings back TXT It 02 in some form, I'm done with this brand. "Because I'm worth it," but Overworked is definitely not.

Changed formula?

Have been using this product for 10+ years. The product I recently purchased is creamy and soft, not the tacky putty it used to be. You definitely have to use much more to achieve the desired effect. Has the formula changed or is it a bad batch?

New formula made this product worse

I’ve been buying this for years and loved it, but they changed the formula and now it’s got a different texture and doesn’t give the same strong hold it used to. It’s a much thinner consistency than it used to be, so you need to use more of it to give the same hold as a small amount of the old formula would give you. It’s a really annoying change and made the overworked hair putty much worse. I would have kept buying this if it didn't change.

What Happened!!

Overworked hair putty has been my go to product for years. But my recent purchase is making me wonder if I got a bad batch or the recipe has changed. This last container has a thinner consistency and doesn't give me the hold and texturizing I'm used to getting. Wondering now if I'll be having to look for something new.

I received this sample with my Eastbay order. I never would have purchased this product before. I typically use whatever my wife buys for me. I threw the sample into my gym bag and used the same day. I always used your Overworked Hair Putty. It's they only product I found that worked well with hair. I have thick hair with lots of layers. My question, did you change the product? I found it to be less pasty from past orders and more creamy. I ordered 8 of them since I am unable to find this in any store. I was disappointed as to the texture. In fact, I had an old jar and had to look at the jar thinking maybe I ordered the wrong one. If your product has changed...here I go again trying to find another. I am hoping that it was just a bad batch???

This product is very similar to the TXT IT 02 Hyper Fix Putty that was discontinued. What they did is kept a similar price point but cut the quantity in half. The quality is good but the value is not as good as it once was.

Best product I have ever used. Been using it for years. I cannot part my hair as it fights with the cowlicks I have on each side of my forehead. I just apply, finger it in and viola. A great look that lasts all day. And, it can be reworked later in the day for a dryer look. Please do not ever stop making this product. I am a very loyal user. I would recommend this product to anyone!

I have fine oily hair. It doesn't respond well to harsh hair sprays or gels and gets unruly and heavy with other creams. OWHP is a light cream that is not greasy, has a great hold and provides excellent body all day without crazy build up. I love it! It is simply the greatest product for my type of hair and I will freak out if it ever gets discontinued.

Oddly, the most affordable product on the shelf is the most durable and successful. This putty when applied wet and allowed to dry is super. It protects my wavy/fine hair leaving it as good in the afternoon as morning. In my unbearable heated and humid city, the hair putty outperforms the expensive brands and doesn't feel greasy or dirty at the end of the day. Bravo!

Best hold for your buck

I absolutely love this product. For years I struggled to find the perfect product to style my hair with. Most products fade out by the end of the day or don't help at all and only turn into a battle. This stuff takes control of your hair. It doesn't leave any flakes or residue on the scalp. My only dislike is the size of the jar and the fact that it takes a lot more than a dime size amount to style a thick head of hair. Otherwise, amazing product and I hope to see it upgrade rather than vanish!

How does this compare to 'Out of Bed Texturizer; that is discontinued?It was my favorite hair product and did exactly what I wanted. On wet hair it held it in place with a funky spiky look, on dry hair it held it in place with smooth lines. Please advise.

I threw the sample into my gym bag and used the same day. It makes a total difference to my routine. I went online and purchased this morning! What a great find.

My question, did you change the product? I found it to be less pasty from past orders and more creamy. I ordered 8 of them since I am unable to find this in any store. I was disappointed as to the texture. In fact, I had an old jar and had to look at the jar thinking maybe I ordered the wrong one. If your product has changed...here I go again trying to find another. I am hoping that it was just a bad batch???

Rated 2 out of 5 by dog mama from so sad TXT IT 02 is gone why is it when a company has a GREAT PRODUCT that you discontinue it? I have bouht so many, so many other products to find one that will compare to TXT IT 02 but they all fail even Studio overworked hair putty. Bad move guys.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Overworkedunderwhelmed from No hold; Poor replacement for TXT IT 02 L'Oréal had an amazing product called TXT IT 02 that they discontinued earlier this year, much to my dismay. This website suggests using Overworked as a comparable alternative. I tried Overworked and found it to an underwhelming waste of my money. This stuff provides very little hold and even less definition to my hair. Unless L'Oréal brings back TXT It 02 in some form, I'm done with this brand. "Because I'm worth it," but Overworked is definitely not.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bobb from PLEASE NOTE: Bring back TXT IT 02 Hyper Fix Putty This product is very similar to the TXT IT 02 Hyper Fix Putty that was discontinued. What they did is kept a similar price point but cut the quantity in half. The quality is good but the value is not as good as it once was.

Now it looks like everyone on Amazon is out! I have tried so many alternatives like the TXT IT and even the new Dove line, and nothing even compares to the hold and matte finish of this product. All others are too sticky, don't hold long enough, or are too oily. Please bring this one back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jerbear from Best product I have ever used. Been using it for years. I cannot part my hair as it fights with the cowlicks I have on each side of my forehead. I just apply, finger it in and viola. A great look that lasts all day. And, it can be reworked later in the day for a dryer look. Please do not ever stop making this product. I am a very loyal user. I would recommend this product to anyone!

OWHP is a light cream that is not greasy, has a great hold and provides excellent body all day without crazy build up. I love it! It is simply the greatest product for my type of hair and I will freak out if it ever gets discontinued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gaspillage from Oddly, the most affordable product on the shelf is the most durable and successful. This putty when applied wet and allowed to dry is super. It protects my wavy/fine hair leaving it as good in the afternoon as morning. In my unbearable heated and humid city, the hair putty outperforms the expensive brands and doesn't feel greasy or dirty at the end of the day. Bravo!

Most products fade out by the end of the day or don't help at all and only turn into a battle. This stuff takes control of your hair. It doesn't leave any flakes or residue on the scalp. My only dislike is the size of the jar and the fact that it takes a lot more than a dime size amount to style a thick head of hair. Otherwise, amazing product and I hope to see it upgrade rather than vanish!

I buy this product all the time and it usually just says: "OVERWORKED Hair Putty - TEXTURE" on the label. Now I am seeing it with: "OVERWORKED Hair Putty - TEXTURE MATTE LOOK" on the label. Is it a different product? Or just a label name change??

How does this compare to 'Out of Bed Texturizer; that is discontinued?It was my favorite hair product and did exactly what I wanted. On wet hair it held it in place with a funky spiky look, on dry hair it held it in place with smooth lines. Please advise.
