New formula is a bad formula

I used to love the Loreal humidity control hairspray. The new formula is horrible. It comes out wet and sprays all over the place as if it were clogged. when you finish spraying your hair it looks plastered from the thick spray. I thought I had just bought a couple of bad cans but from comments I have read everyone sees it is terrible. I had been using this for about 7 years and looking for something else.

I have ordered this hairspray for years. The new formula is awful. It comes out like rain droplets. I have 4 unused cans because of my subscription, hoping the next bottle would be good, it is NOT! Please go back to the original formula.

Lock it hairspray is now poor quality

This was my go to hairspray. It seems the formula has changed and it is terrible. It’s wet and gloppy and weighs your hair down. I have three cans that I can’t use. I’m so disappointed. Please change the formula back.

Terrible

The original humity spray worked wonderful. This new version is awful. It is wet and weighs down the hair. I used to use the original formula to work with my hair and build up volume. You cannot do that with this new version. If this is how the formula is going to stay then L’Oreal has just lost a customer and I’m sure they’ll be many more.

Horrible product reformulation

I also have 5 barely used cans of this in my cabinet because I thought they were defective. This WAS one of the only hairsprays that I can use because of my difficult type 1A hair. Now it looks like I got stuck in the rain, the droplets are big and heavy and wet. Gone is the fine mist that your loyal customers loved. Guess quality isn’t important to big companies anymore. The least you could have done is cheapen the price since you’ve cheapened the product. Also advertising a formula change on the bottle for full transparency.

Used to be Great- NOW Horrible

The last 5 bottles I have purchased have been terrible. The product comes out "wet". Leaving your hair wet with bubbles on it. I have soaked the sprayer and nothing changes. I have used this product for over 5 years so you can imagine my disappointment with this ongoing problem. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I have been using this hairspray for years and absolutely loved it!! The last bottle I purchased seemed different and created sticky wet hair and no hold. I thought it was just that one bottle so bought another one and had the same result. I then asked Google AI that confirmed that the formula indeed has changed and that water is now the first ingredient instead of alcohol. That explains it and I am really upset with this new formula as I can no longer use this spray. Please, please change it back.

Dont like your new version

So I was wondering why recently I have not been able to get the Weather Control Hairspray when ordering online or even checking stores. I see in one of your responces in the reviews that you discontinued my favorite. I tell you that I am really bummed about that. I have been using this one for years. very hard to find a good hairspray that keeps my hair in control. I used to order from Walmart and they kept giving me the Humidity Control so I switched back to ordering from Amazon but the last time they sent me the Humidity control. They refunded me because It was not what I wanted. I don't like the Humidity Control. It sprays out of the can all weird like wall texture from a can. Not sure why it sprays out that way but it tends to way my hair down. Please go back to the Weather Control. Thanks

I've used your weather control hairspray for years and years. Recently purchased new bottles. Horrible. Just horrible. Sprayed and looked like foam on my hair. Thought I had a bad batch- maybe bottles got too hot or damaged in transit. Purchased two more bottles at two different retailers. None work. Its awful. I'm four bottles in before I googled and realized I'm not the only one and that you've CHANGED the formula. WHY? Good grief Loreal. You've taken something wonderful and completely destroyed it. Want to send my four bottles back and get a refund. Where can I send?

Horrible...something changed and not for the bette

I have a been a loyal user of this hair spray for years, it WAS the best. I have fine hair and this was the only product that didn't weigh it down but held great. All of that has changed and this is now the worse product. The spray comes out like a fire hose and at first I thought it was a bad can so I returned and purchased a new can, same thing. The spray is like water and I can't explain how it makes my hair feel but it is awful Unfortunately, I now have to shop another brand to find a great product.

Miss Weatherproof old formula

I’ve been using the Weather Contril Hairspray for many years and have loved it. My hair is curly to wavy and reacts to humidity by frizzing. The new Lick It Humidity Control Hairspray doesn’t hold a candle to the old formula it’s wetter and larger spray dampens down my style and doesn’t hold nearly as well. I’m disappointed that my favorite L’Oréal product have been reduced in quality and that the formula that worked so well for me (and that I recommended to friends) is not the same.

Bring Back the Old Can of Lock-It Hairspray

fI have used this hairspray for years and absolutely loved it up until recently. It now has a wet, sticky feeling when sprayed. I purchased more thinking it was something wrong with the can, but its not. I noticed the can I love is called Lock-It Weather Control Hairspray and the new look is Lock-It Humidity Control Hairspray. Lots of money and cans waisted trying to figure this out. I cant find the "Weather" anywhere. I even ordered on Amazon and it clearly shows the "Weather" can on the picture, but was "Humidity" when it arrived. Please change back to the original hairspray. The new is terrible.

Hate the New Version

Please, please go back to the alcohol-based product. The water-based formula is useless. How can spray guard against the ill effects of humidity by adding more water to your hairstyle? I was purchasing mine of Amazon. I blasted them thinking the seller was putting water in it as I purchased several cans and it continued. Than I purchased in a store same thing water which makes my hair look wet after it dries plus I cannot even get a brush through it. I ended up throwing them all away. Big mistake!

I, like everyone else, is extremely disappointed that our most loved hairspray has been ruined. I noticed the change during a deep freeze we had here in PA and I thought maybe the temperatures were ruining the arriving stock. 3 cans later and the reviews online tells me that you changed the formula and you made a big mistake. PLEASE return to the original formula. This product is unusable now because it basically blows white foam on your hair and the nozzle is constantly clogged. Why in the world would you release this????

Humidity Control is NOT the same as WeatherControl

The Lock It Weather Control was my all-time favorite hairspray. "WAS". I live in a very hot, humid climate, and this was the only hairspray that held my hairstyle without feeling sticky or heavy. After being unable to find Weather Control, the Humidity Control was my only option. Surely it's the same great product, right? WRONG. It is HORRIBLE. The spray is clumpy and leaves drops on your hair. It does not hold, even for 30 minutes. So sad and disappointed. Please go back to the Weather Control formula.

This was my favorite hairspray for YEARS, and it’s been ruined. The new formula is horrible. It sprays out in a wet sloppy mess ruining my hair after I’ve blown it out. I’ve bought 8 cans thinking I just had a bad “batch” and each can has been awful. I’m so disappointed and I’ve stopped spending money on this product. L’Oréal also changed my favorite hair color formula and that’s horrible now as well. Do better L’Oréal!

Awful! Once my absolute favorite... its a shame

Thank goodness I am not the only one! I thought I was going crazy buying different bottles of this hairspray from different locations, hoping to find my good bottle again! Apparently they changed something and its awful! I have been using this for years...years... and now I am scrambling to find a hairspray that actually holds! Why would you change anything to this perfect formula and bottle? Spray gets clogged, soaks hair, is horribly sticky, clumpy...its just awful now! Please go back to the original and LABEL the new bottles with original formula or something! So disappointed... bye Loreal...need to find something that holds ... this doesn't anymore. You ruined a perfect product...

This went from being my go-to hairspray for years to something I cannot stand using. My hair is crunchy. It falls flat as if the humidity is 95%. The spray nozzle changed and now clogs or sprays large drops versus a mist. Please go back to the old formula!

So disappointed in the change in formula

Great FIRST impressions. Not lately.

I have used the Lock It hair spray for quite a while and have loved it. The last three cans I have purchased, all from different retailers, have changed from a great holding fine mist to an uncontrolled thick spray of globs of hair spray. It goes everywhere from the walls to the floor of the bathroom as well as all over my clothes. Has the nozzle been changed? The last 3 cans I purchased have all gone into the trashcan, unused. Please tell me that they were all faulty nozzles and that the hairspray will return to the great quality that I have previously purchased in the past.

What did you do too the formula?

I have been using this product for years and have loved it! I have very fine hair and the anti-humidity spray has been perfect for my hair. The past two or three bottles I thought were defective. The nozzle seemed to have sprayed all over the place and it was like spraying water on my hair. It weighed my style almost flat. I am so disappointed in L’Oréal for changing the formula and neglecting to label it as such on the bottles. Labeling it would have prevented me from purchasing three different bottles of the same formula. Ì will be looking for a replacement.

Why change the name to humidity control and first ingredient is water. This does not work at all. I started using this weather control after my brand switched formulas to water as the first ingredient. Now I have to find another hairspray.

I used to use the original formula to work with my hair and build up volume. You cannot do that with this new version. This WAS one of the only hairsprays that I can use because of my difficult type 1A hair. Now it looks like I got stuck in the rain, the droplets are big and heavy and wet. Gone is the fine mist that your loyal customers loved. Guess quality isn’t important to big companies anymore. The least you could have done is cheapen the price since you’ve cheapened the product. Also advertising a formula change on the bottle for full transparency.

I thought it was just that one bottle so bought another one and had the same result. I then asked Google AI that confirmed that the formula indeed has changed and that water is now the first ingredient instead of alcohol. That explains it and I am really upset with this new formula as I can no longer use this spray. Please, please change it back.

I used to order from Walmart and they kept giving me the Humidity Control so I switched back to ordering from Amazon but the last time they sent me the Humidity control. They refunded me because It was not what I wanted. I don't like the Humidity Control. It sprays out of the can all weird like wall texture from a can. My hair is curly to wavy and reacts to humidity by frizzing. The new Lick It Humidity Control Hairspray doesn’t hold a candle to the old formula it’s wetter and larger spray dampens down my style and doesn’t hold nearly as well. I’m disappointed that my favorite L’Oréal product have been reduced in quality and that the formula that worked so well for me (and that I recommended to friends) is not the same.

PLEASE return to the original formula. This product is unusable now because it basically blows white foam on your hair and the nozzle is constantly clogged. Why in the world would you release this????

I live in a very hot, humid climate, and this was the only hairspray that held my hairstyle without feeling sticky or heavy. After being unable to find Weather Control, the Humidity Control was my only option. Surely it's the same great product, right? WRONG. It is HORRIBLE. The spray is clumpy and leaves drops on your hair. It does not hold, even for 30 minutes. So sad and disappointed. Please go back to the Weather Control formula.

It sprays out in a wet sloppy mess ruining my hair after I’ve blown it out. I’ve bought 8 cans thinking I just had a bad “batch” and each can has been awful. I’m so disappointed and I’ve stopped spending money on this product. L’Oréal also changed my favorite hair color formula and that’s horrible now as well. Do better L’Oréal!

The last three cans I have purchased, all from different retailers, have changed from a great holding fine mist to an uncontrolled thick spray of globs of hair spray. It goes everywhere from the walls to the floor of the bathroom as well as all over my clothes. Has the nozzle been changed? The last 3 cans I purchased have all gone into the trashcan, unused. Please tell me that they were all faulty nozzles and that the hairspray will return to the great quality that I have previously purchased in the past.

At first, I thought I had received a defective can with a faulty nozzle, so I purchased another one. Unfortunately, the second can had the exact same issue. Instead of the fine mist it used to deliver, it now sprays out far too much product at once. The spray goes all over my shoulders and leaves everything feeling sticky. The liquid foams up in the little hole when you spray it. This obviously wasn't tested. The formula and application were perfect before, which is why I'm so disappointed. Why change something that worked so well? I've now wasted money on two cans and am left searching for a replacement. Please change it back!!!!!

I have been using this product for years and loved it! When I first use the new can, I thought it was the nozzle, but I still had my old can and switched to the old one I knew worked. Still the spray was too wet and left visible droplets all over my hair, face, arms, and shoulders. Yuck! I will not buy this again until I see something on front of pack that says this is back to the original formula. You obviously didn't do any home use testing with this new formulation.

The hairspray is much heavier and thicker and weighs your hair down. The new nozzle also sprays and burst leaving bubble remnants all over your hair. Not happy with this change at all. I normally buy them from Walmart. Walmart advertises online they have “Weather” Control but what you actually get it is “Humidity” Control. I just happen to have several cans of “Humidity” Control (because I stock up and have returned at least 4 cans back to Walmart because the spray is so thick, stiff and sticky). The difference between the two is the “Weather” Control’s first ingredient is Alcohol Denat. and the first ingredient in “Humidity” Control is Aqua/Water/Eau. The “Humidity” Control is HORRIBLE! The spray is so think it leaves white clumps in my hair till it drys. My tile flooring is left with spots of hair spray and my rug is sticky & wet. PLEASE, PLEASE go back to the old formula! I have a few other brands of hair spray and none of them have Aqua/Water as their first ingredient. I am currently looking for a new strong hold air spray to use till L’Oréal changes back to their original ingredients.

I’m not sure if the issue is with the nozzle or the formula itself, but something seems different. Sometimes it sprays normally, but other times it comes out in a straight stream and leaves wet spots on my hair. My hair also ends up feeling hard and sticky instead of the finish I used to get. At first, I thought I had just purchased one defective can, but I currently have four cans sitting on my vanity that all seem to have the same issue. I purchased them from both Target and Amazon, so it doesn’t appear to be related to one retailer. Can you please let me know if the formula or nozzle design has changed recently? I really don’t want to switch brands because I’ve been loyal to your product for years, but I also can’t keep wasting money on products that aren’t working properly.

I'll set it aside for a few days, thinking it will get better, then as soon as I spray it, I remember.... crap! When the spray did work ok, the stuff gets my hair so plastered, so when I comb it, it breaks.... I will not be recommending this at all

I have used it for years and always loved to finalize my hairstyle with this product. It was previously a very fine mist that would finish the style off nicely. However, the product now comes out like a water hose, leaving my hair wet in nature, with tiny beads of liquid showering all over my hair. In fact, it literally gets not only my hair wet, but my skin, clothes, etc. In addition once it dries, it feels like my hair has been glued down, very stiff and heavy. Please, please, please bring back the old formula. For now, I have found that Garnier Fructis Style Full Control Hairspray 24H Hold - Anti-Humidity - Bounce Back Hold - Ultra Strong Hold 4 in the green can will be my go to. I always liked Loreal's Lock It better for the final style, but not until the formula changes. I too have tried three different cans, thinking that surely the can I purchased was defective, but have had to return all three and what a disappointment and hassle!

I have been having problems with the spray coming out in big globs, ruining my hairstyle. I am really frustrated because I learned of the formula change through a google search. Nothing was mentioned to me at all when I emailed L'Oreal to notify them of what i thought was faulty propellant or a bad production batch. Back to the drawing board to find a decent hairspray, as I wont be wasting any more money on this product.

I only got to use 2 cans before either the spray nozzle or formula was changed. Instead of a fine mist, it now comes out like a fire extinguisher. It's sticky and gets all over everything, and makes it difficult to have the hairstyle you started with before spraying.
