This hairspray does the opposite of weather control. It makes my hair stiff and frizzy. Bring back Bold Conrol and get rid of this.

I want my Weather Control Back

BRING BACK WHAT WORKED - I just ordered 10 cans of L'Oreal Lock It Weather Control but received 10 cans of Lock It Humidity Control- NOT the same formulation at all. I have used Weather Control for years and loved it - it kept my baby fine hair and style in place unfortunately the Humidity Control is like spraying water on my hair it's completely useless. Bring back Weather Control...Disappointed in Virginia. Tina

Loreal Lock It, not worth the $

This WAS my go to hairspray! The last 8 cans I purchased from Amazon and Walmart are defective! The spray comes out wet and flattens my hair leaving it damp. I thought it was just 1 defective can so I kept buying from various stores. What happened to this product? All 8 cans purchased are worthless and the price just kept going up. So disappointing, a user for 5 + years and the product is ruined!

The formula change is awful

What on earth did you do to this hair spray? It was the best hands down. I ordered it online and it came out clumpy and wet. I thought I had a defective can, so I bought one directly from the store and same issues. I even tried a third can, same issues. have used this for over 10 years. My hair just does not look the same and now I have to find an alternative. Why would you change a product that was working? Did you make it cheaper and charge the same amount in order to produce more profit??? I am sure you have to be losing money on this now.

Humidity Control not the same as Weather Control

I have used the Lock It Weather Control Hairspray exclusively since it first came out. I even continued to buy it through the issues with the spray tip constantly falling off. Nothing else works for me like this does, especially not the Lock It Humidity Control Hairspray. It is not the same product, although Amazon seems to think it is. I order Weather Control, they ship Humidity Control. I can't find Weather Control anywhere anymore. Has that product been discontinued?

Something changed

Something has changed. It doesn’t mist.. it spurts out. I’m a sucker and kept buying cans. Now I have all of this hairspray I can’t use. So sad because it WAS a book product.

Was a loyal customer

I have had this hairspray on a subscription for quite some time, since it can be hard to find in the store (usually out of stock). The last two orders I have gotten are not like they used to be. The hairspray "sputters" out and leaves large droplets -it's not a fine mist anymore. I have tried swapping nozzles but no difference. It's ashame since I found this brand and formula to be the best on my hair here in the South. Now I will have to find a suitable replacement.

NEW FORMULA IS NOT GOOD

I have used Lock It hairspray for years and I loved it(PAST TENSE)!! Unfortunately, the last 3 cans I purchased are HORRIBLE. The spray is no longer a mist and it comes out like water-NO HOLD whatsoever. I thought there might have been a manufacturing mishap, so I bought another one. Same result! Foolish me, I bought a third can, same result. The dates on the cans are 2025 and 2026. A good product has been ruined. I will now have to search for another brand. Wake up Loreal, new is not always better,,

Ruined Lock It Hairspray

Why did you change the L’Oréal Lock It weather control hairspray? I’ve used it for years on my thin fine hair and loved it. It was a quick drying mist and I could add volume to my hair and it would hold all day. NOW it is spraying wet sticky heavy spray that ruins my just styled hair. And it is so sticky you cannot comb it out. I thought it was just a bad can and I went to different stores to buy more and even ordered three cans of Weather Control from Amazon and it arrived as Humidity Control. I now have eight cans that cannot be returned because I tried to use them hoping it would be the old formula! Please change it back to the old formula.

Not the hairspray I once loved

I have fine hair and have used this product for years and had always loved it, but the last two cans I have purchased have been awful. It does not spray in a fine mist that it used to have. It sprays in a heavy sticky watery spray that coats my hair, arms and clothing. My hair is so stiff I cannot get a comb through it. I am not sure if it is the nozzle or if the can does not contain enough pressure for the spray to be the fine mist that it was before. I have just started using the second can although I am so displeased that I will discontinue using this product. I hope you will evaluate the Lock It Weather Control to see what problem has caused this hairspray to be so undesirable. It had always been my go-to hairspray and I am sad that it now has this issue.

I have ordered the weather control three times on Amazon because I can't find it in the stores anymore. The first two times I got the weather control. This last time I got the humidity control. They are not the same. Weather control is light on the hair and the humidity control is heavy & wet. I have used this hair spray for years and now I will have to find a different brand. I find it interesting that L'Oreal replies to all these reviews are the same. They should try to come up with something better than there auto replies using AI.

I’ve purchased three different cans from different retailers and they’re all equally awful! The main issue I have is that it’s no longer a fine mist spray. It’s now like topping your hairstyle off with a garden hose!! It’s heavy and wet and your clothes even get a nice soak. The spray nozzle is not working correctly!

Terrible now that it has changed

I have used this hairspray for years. Hands down the best I have ever used, but now they have changed something in the hairspray and it is awful. I have bought several cans thinking that maybe just one can was bad, but they all are. I wj not be buying this anymore, and I hate that because it was great at one time. I know so many people that had said the same thing. Why don’t want to change something that was great to begin with?

Used to be great! Not anymore.

I have used this hairspray for at least ten years, maybe even 15! And my long hair has been the envy of many women. But suddenly this stuff changed recently. It’s now heavy and wet and drags my poofy hair way down heavy and flat. And the nozzle foams and clogs up on all the cans. I bought a different, more expensive hairspray today. Sadly I have several cans of this that I can do nothing with but throw away. L’Oréal, you messed up. If you fix it please let us know.

Horrible Revised Product

I have been a loyal user of this product for years, performed very well and highly satisfied. Unfortunately, I will be switching brands. The current product is horrific for multiple reasons. The dispenser was changed perhaps in an effort to use more product at a time? The product now shoots out of the sprayer like a fire hose, leaving hair wet and stringy looking! The heavy foamy spray dries to a greasy shine with fly away hair sticking out because the spray is so heavy. As a loyal user, I recently purchased 8 cans that are all of NO use to me at this time. This is now a horrible product and what a shame, it was not broke!

I was going to leave a review to complain that the spray nozzle on Lock It hairspray was defective, but after reading the reviews I realize you changed the formula. I am so disappointed with the new hairspray. I have 2 cans I can not use because it shoots out globs of hairspray. It is awful!! You have lost me as a customer.

You ruined it!

I've been using this hairspray for years. I recently bought a new can and was taking it back to CVS today to exchange because I thought the spray nozzle was defective. I'm glad I looked at the CVS reviews for this hairspray, because I see you have reformulated it and nobody likes it anymore. I'll be returning it rather than exchanging it. This makes me so sad that you did this and now I have to look for a new brand.

Save your money

The old formula was great, the new change is awful. Ive wasted money thinking it was a bad batch and learned the formula was changed. Please change this back. Used it for years now it sprays out like oven cleaner and is just as bad

It now sucks!

I've used and loved this hairspray for years but the last two cans I've bought are terrible! I don't know if they've changed the formula or nozzle or both, but it spays out way too agressively, which makes my hair wet & sticky & weighs it down because I can't control the amount I'm getting...it just blasts out of the can. I hate it now but have loved it for years! The first can I bought since the apparent change, I thought the nozzle was just defective because it would bubble up by the opening and not really spray correctly but the 2nd can I bought I can tell there is clearly been a change, for the worse. If it's not changed back to how it used to be, I will need to find a new hairspray, which sucks because I've loved and used this one for years. Sadly, it's no longer good hairspray.

New formula is a bad formula

I used to love the Loreal humidity control hairspray. The new formula is horrible. It comes out wet and sprays all over the place as if it were clogged. when you finish spraying your hair it looks plastered from the thick spray. I thought I had just bought a couple of bad cans but from comments I have read everyone sees it is terrible. I had been using this for about 7 years and looking for something else.

Splatters, beaded sticky mess

Reading recent reviews, it seems this company still hasn't went back to the old formula that everyone was happy with when it comes to the Loreal Lockit line's Humity Control hairspray, even after getting horrible feedback. It seems many of us thought we had a one can defect. But no, its every can we purchase. I had written to this company months ago and found out that the formula changed. They did send me 3 coupons for replacement to buy something else. I can not understand how this product got past any testing. It messes up your hair to a point you need to remove it by washing it out, or go about your day with a sticky beaded looking mess on your head. Why lose customers? For those reading this...you can still find the Loreal Quick Dry variety online through Amazon, and it still works great...but is less combable as the old formula of the humidity resistant one. But the formula is still the same. Thank god. I do not understand why the Loreal site does not have it for sale though. Its their product! Unfortunately whoever is selling the Loreal lockit Quick Dry formula elsewhere online...its very marked up. $17 for one can as of today. Please Loreal....explain why this product reached the shelf, when the new formula sprays on like a wet sticky visibility beaded mess. And please explain why you do not sell the Quick Dry on your site.

Lock it hairspray is now poor quality

This was my go to hairspray. It seems the formula has changed and it is terrible. It’s wet and gloppy and weighs your hair down. I have three cans that I can’t use. I’m so disappointed. Please change the formula back.

Terrible

The original humity spray worked wonderful. This new version is awful. It is wet and weighs down the hair. I used to use the original formula to work with my hair and build up volume. You cannot do that with this new version. If this is how the formula is going to stay then L’Oreal has just lost a customer and I’m sure they’ll be many more.

Bad spray:(!

Like the other reviews the spray comes out wet with bubbles, it sucks!! Every can is the same!! I have tried to replace the spray piece I have tried to clean it out but no luck your formula changed what a bummer!!! Disappointed to say the least!! I have used this forever!! No more!!

Horrible product reformulation

I also have 5 barely used cans of this in my cabinet because I thought they were defective. This WAS one of the only hairsprays that I can use because of my difficult type 1A hair. Now it looks like I got stuck in the rain, the droplets are big and heavy and wet. Gone is the fine mist that your loyal customers loved. Guess quality isn’t important to big companies anymore. The least you could have done is cheapen the price since you’ve cheapened the product. Also advertising a formula change on the bottle for full transparency.

Used to be Great- NOW Horrible

The last 5 bottles I have purchased have been terrible. The product comes out "wet". Leaving your hair wet with bubbles on it. I have soaked the sprayer and nothing changes. I have used this product for over 5 years so you can imagine my disappointment with this ongoing problem. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Very poor.

I have been using this hairspray for years and absolutely loved it!! The last bottle I purchased seemed different and created sticky wet hair and no hold. I thought it was just that one bottle so bought another one and had the same result. I then asked Google AI that confirmed that the formula indeed has changed and that water is now the first ingredient instead of alcohol. That explains it and I am really upset with this new formula as I can no longer use this spray. Please, please change it back.

Dont like your new version

So I was wondering why recently I have not been able to get the Weather Control Hairspray when ordering online or even checking stores. I see in one of your responces in the reviews that you discontinued my favorite. I tell you that I am really bummed about that. I have been using this one for years. very hard to find a good hairspray that keeps my hair in control. I used to order from Walmart and they kept giving me the Humidity Control so I switched back to ordering from Amazon but the last time they sent me the Humidity control. They refunded me because It was not what I wanted. I don't like the Humidity Control. It sprays out of the can all weird like wall texture from a can. Not sure why it sprays out that way but it tends to way my hair down. Please go back to the Weather Control. Thanks

Beyond Disappointed

I echo what has been said. I've been a long-time loyal customer of this product, and the new formula is horrible. I recently bought a few cans and thought it was a bad batch. Bought another and turns out I wasted my money on what used to be a great product. You've lost another customer. I don't even know how this new formula made it through testing. Beyond disappointed. I thought I had a defective can, so I bought one directly from the store and same issues. I even tried a third can, same issues. have used this for over 10 years. My hair just does not look the same and now I have to find an alternative. Why would you change a product that was working? Did you make it cheaper and charge the same amount in order to produce more profit??? I am sure you have to be losing money on this now.

The last two orders I have gotten are not like they used to be. The hairspray "sputters" out and leaves large droplets -it's not a fine mist anymore. I have tried swapping nozzles but no difference. It's ashame since I found this brand and formula to be the best on my hair here in the South. Now I will have to find a suitable replacement.

It was a quick drying mist and I could add volume to my hair and it would hold all day. NOW it is spraying wet sticky heavy spray that ruins my just styled hair. And it is so sticky you cannot comb it out. It does not spray in a fine mist that it used to have. It sprays in a heavy sticky watery spray that coats my hair, arms and clothing. My hair is so stiff I cannot get a comb through it. I am not sure if it is the nozzle or if the can does not contain enough pressure for the spray to be the fine mist that it was before. I have just started using the second can although I am so displeased that I will discontinue using this product. I hope you will evaluate the Lock It Weather Control to see what problem has caused this hairspray to be so undesirable. It had always been my go-to hairspray and I am sad that it now has this issue.

This last time I got the humidity control. They are not the same. Weather control is light on the hair and the humidity control is heavy & wet. I have used this hair spray for years and now I will have to find a different brand. I find it interesting that L'Oreal replies to all these reviews are the same. They should try to come up with something better than there auto replies using AI.

The current product is horrific for multiple reasons. The dispenser was changed perhaps in an effort to use more product at a time? The product now shoots out of the sprayer like a fire hose, leaving hair wet and stringy looking! The heavy foamy spray dries to a greasy shine with fly away hair sticking out because the spray is so heavy. As a loyal user, I recently purchased 8 cans that are all of NO use to me at this time. This is now a horrible product and what a shame, it was not broke!

I don't know if they've changed the formula or nozzle or both, but it spays out way too agressively, which makes my hair wet & sticky & weighs it down because I can't control the amount I'm getting...it just blasts out of the can. The first can I bought since the apparent change, I thought the nozzle was just defective because it would bubble up by the opening and not really spray correctly but the 2nd can I bought I can tell there is clearly been a change, for the worse. If it's not changed back to how it used to be, I will need to find a new hairspray, which sucks because I've loved and used this one for years. Sadly, it's no longer good hairspray.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Vic24 from Splatters, beaded sticky mess Reading recent reviews, it seems this company still hasn't went back to the old formula that everyone was happy with when it comes to the Loreal Lockit line's Humity Control hairspray, even after getting horrible feedback. It seems many of us thought we had a one can defect. But no, its every can we purchase. I had written to this company months ago and found out that the formula changed. They did send me 3 coupons for replacement to buy something else. I can not understand how this product got past any testing. It messes up your hair to a point you need to remove it by washing it out, or go about your day with a sticky beaded looking mess on your head. Why lose customers? For those reading this...you can still find the Loreal Quick Dry variety online through Amazon, and it still works great...but is less combable as the old formula of the humidity resistant one. But the formula is still the same. Thank god. I do not understand why the Loreal site does not have it for sale though. Its their product! Unfortunately whoever is selling the Loreal lockit Quick Dry formula elsewhere online...its very marked up. $17 for one can as of today. Please Loreal....explain why this product reached the shelf, when the new formula sprays on like a wet sticky visibility beaded mess. And please explain why you do not sell the Quick Dry on your site.

I used to use the original formula to work with my hair and build up volume. You cannot do that with this new version. If this is how the formula is going to stay then L’Oreal has just lost a customer and I’m sure they’ll be many more.

This WAS one of the only hairsprays that I can use because of my difficult type 1A hair. Now it looks like I got stuck in the rain, the droplets are big and heavy and wet. Gone is the fine mist that your loyal customers loved. Guess quality isn’t important to big companies anymore. The least you could have done is cheapen the price since you’ve cheapened the product. Also advertising a formula change on the bottle for full transparency.

I thought it was just that one bottle so bought another one and had the same result. I then asked Google AI that confirmed that the formula indeed has changed and that water is now the first ingredient instead of alcohol. That explains it and I am really upset with this new formula as I can no longer use this spray. Please, please change it back.

I see in one of your responces in the reviews that you discontinued my favorite. I tell you that I am really bummed about that. I have been using this one for years. very hard to find a good hairspray that keeps my hair in control. I used to order from Walmart and they kept giving me the Humidity Control so I switched back to ordering from Amazon but the last time they sent me the Humidity control. They refunded me because It was not what I wanted. I don't like the Humidity Control. It sprays out of the can all weird like wall texture from a can. Not sure why it sprays out that way but it tends to way my hair down. Please go back to the Weather Control. Thanks

Thought I had a bad batch- maybe bottles got too hot or damaged in transit. Purchased two more bottles at two different retailers. None work. Its awful. I'm four bottles in before I googled and realized I'm not the only one and that you've CHANGED the formula. WHY? Good grief Loreal. You've taken something wonderful and completely destroyed it. I have fine hair and this was the only product that didn't weigh it down but held great. All of that has changed and this is now the worse product. The spray comes out like a fire hose and at first I thought it was a bad can so I returned and purchased a new can, same thing. The spray is like water and I can't explain how it makes my hair feel but it is awful Unfortunately, I now have to shop another brand to find a great product.

My hair is curly to wavy and reacts to humidity by frizzing. The new Lick It Humidity Control Hairspray doesn’t hold a candle to the old formula it’s wetter and larger spray dampens down my style and doesn’t hold nearly as well. I’m disappointed that my favorite L’Oréal product have been reduced in quality and that the formula that worked so well for me (and that I recommended to friends) is not the same.

It now has a wet, sticky feeling when sprayed. I purchased more thinking it was something wrong with the can, but its not. I noticed the can I love is called Lock-It Weather Control Hairspray and the new look is Lock-It Humidity Control Hairspray. Lots of money and cans waisted trying to figure this out. I cant find the "Weather" anywhere. I even ordered on Amazon and it clearly shows the "Weather" can on the picture, but was "Humidity" when it arrived. Please change back to the original hairspray. The new is terrible.

The new “Humidity Control” version that is made in Canada is nothing like the old “Weather Control” version. Please, please go back to the alcohol-based product. The water-based formula is useless. How can spray guard against the ill effects of humidity by adding more water to your hairstyle? Doesn’t make sense to me.

I noticed the change during a deep freeze we had here in PA and I thought maybe the temperatures were ruining the arriving stock. 3 cans later and the reviews online tells me that you changed the formula and you made a big mistake. PLEASE return to the original formula. This product is unusable now because it basically blows white foam on your hair and the nozzle is constantly clogged. Why in the world would you release this????

I live in a very hot, humid climate, and this was the only hairspray that held my hairstyle without feeling sticky or heavy. After being unable to find Weather Control, the Humidity Control was my only option. Surely it's the same great product, right? WRONG. It is HORRIBLE. The spray is clumpy and leaves drops on your hair. It does not hold, even for 30 minutes. So sad and disappointed. Please go back to the Weather Control formula.

The last three cans I have purchased, all from different retailers, have changed from a great holding fine mist to an uncontrolled thick spray of globs of hair spray. It goes everywhere from the walls to the floor of the bathroom as well as all over my clothes. Has the nozzle been changed? The last 3 cans I purchased have all gone into the trashcan, unused. Please tell me that they were all faulty nozzles and that the hairspray will return to the great quality that I have previously purchased in the past.

I have very fine hair and the anti-humidity spray has been perfect for my hair. The past two or three bottles I thought were defective. The nozzle seemed to have sprayed all over the place and it was like spraying water on my hair. It weighed my style almost flat. I am so disappointed in L’Oréal for changing the formula and neglecting to label it as such on the bottles. Labeling it would have prevented me from purchasing three different bottles of the same formula. Ì will be looking for a replacement.

At first, I thought I had received a defective can with a faulty nozzle, so I purchased another one. Unfortunately, the second can had the exact same issue. Instead of the fine mist it used to deliver, it now sprays out far too much product at once. The spray goes all over my shoulders and leaves everything feeling sticky. The liquid foams up in the little hole when you spray it. This obviously wasn't tested. The formula and application were perfect before, which is why I'm so disappointed. Why change something that worked so well? I've now wasted money on two cans and am left searching for a replacement. Please change it back!!!!!

I have been using this product for years and loved it! When I first use the new can, I thought it was the nozzle, but I still had my old can and switched to the old one I knew worked. Still the spray was too wet and left visible droplets all over my hair, face, arms, and shoulders. Yuck! I will not buy this again until I see something on front of pack that says this is back to the original formula. You obviously didn't do any home use testing with this new formulation.

The new formula is absolutely awful as others have mentioned. Huge waste of money. Not sure why you would change a formula that works. I will certainly think twice about any future L’Oréal purchase.

I always bought 2 at a time and now I wish I returned them. It literally ruined my hair. I was all ready to go to dinner, always lock in my style with this spray and now I have wet sticky hair. The employees or employee that changed the formula should be fired! Why take a great product and add water? I would prefer you just raised the price than make it foamy water in a can. On my quest to find my go to hairspray and it won’t be L’Oréal.
