A temporary hair dye that uses pure pigments to coat hair with vivid color. Its formula is ammonia-free and peroxide free, suitable for all hair types and textures, and requires no bleaching.

Colorista Temporary 1-Day Hair Color Spray Color lets you play with color in a whole new way! A temporary hair color spray that allows you to instantly get bold looks when you want them and how you want them without the commitment, this quick use hair dye washes out after just one shampoo. Just spray, play, wash and repeat. The ammonia-free formula:

  • Is suitable for all hair types and textures

HOW TO USE

Shake well before each use and follow these steps:

Step 1. Hold the can 4–6 inches from dry hair and spray.

Step 2. Wait a few minutes for color to dry completely. Tip: Don't spray too much at once! Color is more visible as it dries.

Step 3. Once the color dries, spray more as desired or move on to hairstyling as usual.

Effective and quick!

I bought this to test for a temporary beard coloring. I've agreed to do a purple beard (over my gray) for a relay race, but don't want to keep it forever. I'll be spending 36 hours running different segments in the heat, and wanted something to stay, but not stay forever--and didn't want it all over me. I completely disregarded the guidance on the can for "highlights and hints", instead going for heavy full coverage. I've attached photos--one immediately after applying, one after running 6 miles in the mist and light rain, and one after 3 washes with clarifying shampoo and a 15 minute soak with 3% hydrogen peroxide. My beard dried pretty stiff, but that is likely because I put on a LOT all at once, rather than applying in light layers. It was also quite difficult to remove, again, likely because I went so heavy. It did shed--on everything, but really it wasn't all that bad. Considering how heavy I put it on, the collar of my running jacket only had a light amount of staining despite the rain. A kleenex could rub some off, but it wasn't noticeable to the effect. After the run, a soak with hot water didn't remove a bit--shampoo was required. This stuff is a win for me, no question. Now I just need to get the lighter purple to do streaks! One hint: soap and water does pretty good on skin, rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball does better!

I recently got this product just to try. The first thing that I did was take the mint color and spray it in my blonde hair. When I sprayed it I was excited to have hair the same color as my bedroom walls and that’s not how it turned out. My hair was like a green not a mint blue. I do think that this product would last about 1 and a half days only because when I got in the shower I had to scrub my hair to get the color out. I have more colors and I will try them out to see how I like them and I will keep you guys posted.

I've gotta have it!!!

I use this on my roots as they grow out between salon visits. It covers my grays and my natural dirty dishwater color. I keep a can at all times. Don't know what I'd do without it!

Just be careful! You will have residue for days!

I used the blue 1 day hair color spray to complete a Halloween costume. It has taken more than 1 shampoo to get it all out. It is 2 days past Halloween and I am on shampoo #8. I've used a clarifying shampoo and have added baking soda, as well. The suds, after 8 washes, are still a light blue.

I bought this for a fun weekend softball tournament. I have had pink hair for a month now. I have had to bleach and colour my hair and the product still did not come out. It got everywhere and I’m extremely dissatisfied and I will never be purchasing this item again

the most messy product i have ever used horrible

Not only did the product not come out of my hair after 2 washes it got everywhere and it’s not like you could see it but it was there and it would leave little traces of it everywhere. Don’t use this if you want anywhere in your room to feel clean because this stuff does not come off of bathroom floors and it is staining my skin and i keep finding the spray on me in places like behind my ears and it won’t go away even after a shower. I can’t describe how mad I am and how much this bothers me

Horrible product

The product has been a bear to remove from my daughters hair. After 4 deep shampoos, It has stained her scalp and surrounding areas like her ears, neck. My hands are blue from just brushing her hair. It also left her hair with a nasty film that makes it tangled very easily and a challenge to brush out. I DO NOT recommend this product.

Not worth it

It colored my hair purple but faded after a few hours probably because it got on everything. I left my hair hard like hairspray. My hair was completely tangled afterwards. The direction say that you can spray and then style it, but there is absolutely no way you could style it afterwards. Trying to wash it out was a nightmare because my hair was so tangled up. It took two washes to get it untangled and get all the purple out. It’s definitely not worth it even for a fun night.

Love Silver for graying hair!

I love this stuff!!. I have salt and pepper hair with some areas that are all whitish. I hate the darker areas. Just tried this in silver and it’ covered those areas! Looks beautiful, has no scent, and is not sticky at all. For people complaining about the mess - it’s a spray, in colors, protect your environment accordingly.

Adverse skin reaction! Consumer beware :(

Great concept, terrible execution :(. My teenage daughter and her friend tried the hot pink last night and what's ,more concerning than the residual in their hair is the fact that my daughter has what appears to be a chemical burn all over her neck and chest from the product! I have to call the dermatologist to see what can be done. Please advise other ways to treat as it sounds like we are not the first ones to have this product reaction. Very scary and disappointed.

Does not come out in 1 shampoo

I'm only giving this a 2 star because it did look good in my daughter's hair but it says it comes out in 1 shampoo. My daughter used the red color and now has had tinted pink hair for over a week and I can't get it out. Do not use unless you want it to last longer than a day or two.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The color transfers like crazy. I was outside in freezing weather for NYE, so I wasn’t sweating! But the color stained my clothes severely. And it WONT WASH OUT.

Do not use!!!

DO NOT USE. THIS PRODUCT WILL NOT LEAVE YOUR HAIR. I did this for Halloween. It’s the end of December and after 2 rounds of bleach it has not moved. I do not understand. I’ve spent hundreds trying to get this out. I have bleached hair already BUT it stuck to my root not even the bleached section of my hair. Horrible. DO NOT USE

Does not Wash out in one wash. I would not recommend this spray. It took me 6 times to make the water run clear even after I washed it there was still a pinkish streak there, so product misleads on spray can. 10.99 is definitely not worth it for this product. It just does not simply come out. I brought the Red spray to wear it on Christmas.

I do NOT recommend.

I used the red and it made my hair feel like hairspray. I could not brush it after it dried and it got on all of my clothes and skin throughout the day. It does not come out in the shower. I have no idea how long it will take to finally come out of my hair! I will never use this product again.

10 washed and still not out

I recently used this for an event I was attending because I did not want to dye my hair fully. The color was great and the application process was easy. But the color rubs off onto whatever you wear as well as your skin. The bottle also stays it comes out in just one day, which is perfect for me. However, I am at almost 10 washes and it is still not out of my hair!

Yesterday I got the hair spray and was every excited ,when I tried it on the color was every pretty.I followed the instructions and waited for my hair to dry. I waited for a long time but when I touched it my hands were all blue and my hair was not dry and my clothes were all blue.I do NOT recommend this product.

Great idea but messy

Recently used this and am very disappointed. Great idea and excited to use, but it never dried and even though I used a towel when applying -it never dried and got all over my shoulders and shirt and I couldn't brush my hair-it got all over my bedding when sleeping. Every time I touched my hair in the days following it still got on my hands, shirts and neck/chin-anything my hair touched really. It ruined my shirts and bedding-couldn't wash it out. Wish it was better it really is a good idea.

I bought the silver and rose gold. Firstly, it's impossible to get even color. If you spray from more than 4 inches away, color doesn't deposit. Closer, and it's streaky and splotchey. The silver added a pretty sparkle, but when you touch it, it comes right off. Don't wear black, because it will show up on your clothing very obviously. Too bad, it's a great idea :(

Pink hands, face and neck!

I sprayed a white wig for Cosplay, let it air dry for 6 hours, and got the pink dye all over my hands, face and neck just during dress rehearsal! Very disappointed.

Makes Going Gray Easy

My natural color is white/gray, and half my dyed/brown hair has still not grown out, which looks funny. I spray the brown area with L'Oreal silver Cororista, and it looks wonderful. My only concern is the aluminum particles in the spray, which is rated "worst" health hazard by EWG Skin Deep.

Waste of money

I couldn't leave my hair down after using this because if I touched my hair my fingers would be blue and this was hours later! This also left my hair tangled to the point where I couldn't even get my brush threw it. It was so difficult to wash out. This spray also stained my skin for days and left stains on other things hours after using it. I used a cheaper color spray and didn't have any problems.

Ruined my Blonde Hair Permanently

Beyond upset, I’m heartbroken. I have spent years and years taking care of my blonde hair and spending thousands of dollars keeping my hair blonde. I used the purple spray once for one night and after washing my hair five times my hair is now permanently pink. I went to my professional stylist and she did everything she possibly could to remove the pink from my hair and it won’t budge. After years or of taking such good care of my blonde hair I now either have to cut at least half of it off, go brunette, or live with having bright pink hair for the years to come. I will never buy from L’Oréal again and can’t express how much I hope no one else buys this product either.

Does not wash out

Used for my daughter's Halloween costume as a unicorn and the color was super cute. Her hair was very tangly from the stuff which was less than ideal but worth it for the look. The main problem is her hair is STILL BLUE after 5 or so washes. She doesn't want to be a unicorn every day 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️. After reading other reviews, this seems common for kids using the product. Perhaps because they have less oils coating their hair allowing the color to bind more readily. The bottle does say lastingness varies but wasn't expecting it to this degree. I am very annoyed. Probably going to have to take her to a salon to get it fixed for $$$

It smears on everything, clothes, hands, brushes

I have gray hair, I wanted to see if I added more gray if I would like it, so I bought Colorista Silver. It looked great, however, 1. If you use hairspray it takes away the color. 2. The color doesn't stay on your hair, it goes on your clothes even after drying the color on your hair. 3. If anyone touches your hair the silver color is on their hands as well. 4. If you brush/comb your hair the color is on that too. The problem with this product is it's on everything. It doesn't stick on your hair. I won't buy it again.

Not worth the money!

My daughter (8) wanted to add some pink and purple highlights to her hair so I purchased the Colorista Spray. It looked really cute but we could not get it to dry! The color transferred to everything! We ended up having to wash it out after three+ hours because it still was not even close to dry! After shampooing her hair numerous times it still has some color. She still cannot run her hands through her hair without it getting on her hands. We’ve had better luck using the Halloween costume hair color. L’Oréal generally makes good products but this one definitely missed the mark!

The color is vibrant and was what my daughter wanted. IT NEVER SEEMS TO DRY!! The color transfers to everything it comes in contact with. Too expensive for the disappointing experience.

No! No! This stuff is a literal nightmare. I've done hair for years and just tried this on my daughter. You really do not want this product. It tangles over and over. It transfers to everyone and everything even when dry. You can not style your hair or even comb your hair with this product on. Complete thumbs down on what we were hoping to be a day of fun. We had purple.

Originally bought this for halloween. Because i am a big chicken with these things i started out spraying lightly in a test area of my hair. The result was gorgeous shiny and beautiful. My natural hair color is a silvery gray. It is very dry so i only need to wash it a couple of times a week. At about day 3, it isn't oily, just a little dull. A light spray with this and it restores the shine and brightness. Turns out its a fabulous dry shampoo for your hair (as opposed to your scalp) Pictures taken on day 3 of not washing, just freshened up with the "Silver 01" You're Welcome ;)

    Why ? Why? Did you discontinue the pastel pink. I have used it for years and don't know what I will do without it !!! Bring it back or if there is any laying around somewhere I will buy it !

Please be sure that you are holding the can 4-6 inches from dry hair and spray. After applying, wait 1 minute to allow drying and then use a comb or brush to ensure there is no excess product. Tip: Try using a hair spray like Elnett as both a primer & a topcoat barrier to make sure your color lasts as long as possible! This will also help to prevent hair staining.     Why isn't it coming out? It's the 3 rd day, I've used many different kinds of shampoos. My hair is damaged and frizzy and still pink!
