This mascara looked nice - at first. But by the end of the day - a short day of just a few hours - the mascara had smeared under my eyes and flaked all over my face in large pieces, much like the long chunks of product that comes off when removing a tubing mascara. There was almost nothing left on my lashes for no reason at all. I did not cry, there was no rain I did not sweat from exercise and may lashes were clean and dry before applying the mascara over a favorite primer that does right by my lashes. This is one of the worst wearing mascaras I have used in quite a while. I don't understand what the point of this is. If you want a great mascara check out the Telescopic in the original gold tube, it is amazing! It lengthens and can be build up to create volume and never looks heavy or drops my lashes even if layered. Pass on this mascara and go with the Telescopic - I used Telescopic the day after wearing the Extensionist to confirm it wasn't the primer or face product under the eyes causing the issues - the Telescopic was perfect after a much longer day - not a flake or smear in sight. But the Extensionist? Pass on this.

Nice mascara

I’ve been using this lash extensionist mascara for a few weeks now and I am generally impressed. It gives my lashes, incredible length and definition without clumping or flaking throughout the day the formula builds beautifully so I can go for a natural every day look or add a few extra coats for more drama. This mess mascara states put through busy days without smudging, and it removes easily at the end of the day, which is a huge bonus I would definitely recommend.

L’Oreal creates perfect brown mascara w/ 1 flaw

I just got this other day and believe it or not. I’ve always been a L’Oreal Paris mascara user the only time I’ve ever ventured away from L’Oreal was to get a name brand like two-faced so any complaint I may have about this mascara comes from the heart truly because I am a huge fan of L’Oreal I feel like it’s the only drugstore makeup brand worth having.
With that said, I had to take a star off because you have developed the most beautiful clump free, most perfect Brown that I have ever laid eyes on more perfect than the lash paradise Brown, especially for Colton blondes like myself. I love this color so much, but for the life of me, this is the worst mascara wand that I have ever laid eyes on, and I have tried to work with every mascara wand out there, and I cannot make this one work. It’s slaps the mascara all over my eyelid and under my eye there is no wand to work with for separation all it basically feels like is a plastic knob that you dip into liquid and put on your lashes, we may as well go back to the 1800s when they were using safety pins to put on mascara out of a tin of mascara so with that said please Lori I’ll read this review and fix the wand. It’s got awful. I don’t even care what kind of wand you put on it however, I would prefer the wand that’s more like the one for lash paradise or even the newest version of the last paradise but anything other than this wand is perfectly fine with me. Please get rid of this wand. You either do that or you can just have this color in all of your mascara lines because this color is absolutely gorgeous. It’s so beautiful and natural looking on a blonde please and I bet there’s 1 million redheads out there too who love this color as well so please listen to the consumer get rid of the wand. The wand is god-awful. It does nothing good for the lashes.

I love L'oreal mascara and I was excited to try this one, however, I was slightly disappointed with it. The brush is nice, it grabs every lash but the mascara is too wet and it clumps easily. Hopefully, I can pump air into the tube to dry it out some.

I would not even give this product one star, but had to give something on order to leave review. This mascara does not live up to its hype. It clumps and gives you spider lashes and adds no length like the claim. Do not purchase. Sorry L'oréal but this is not a good mascara.

Literally AMAZING. makes my lashes SO long. My lashes are short, as soon as I tried this mascara I saw HUGE difference. It doesn’t rip my lashes out, and it’s easy to apply and take off. After I started udon this mascara, I noticed my lashes actually started to grow!! Incredible and 110% recommend.

This is really good if you’re going for length and definition instead of volume. It grabs the smallest lashes. Giving that longer separated, look without clumping. Your lashes don’t feel weighted down or heavy.

L’Oreal Extensionist Mascara (in Black) definitely delivers when it comes to length and volume! After just two coats, my lashes look super defined and noticeably more dramatic. Almost as if I’m wearing lash extensions! (However, I don’t stop at two coats! ;)) The formula itself is great. It’s very lightweight on the lashes, even after a number of coats. It lasts all day without smearing or flaking, but still washes off easily at the end of the day, which is a huge plus. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and it hasn’t seemed to dry out or anything yet. The brush is my only hesitation. While it claims to have over 300 bristles (which I certainly believe, because it does separate lashes well), I feel like the design of the brush could be tweaked a bit. With that being said, I do love the packaging. It’s very sleek. Overall, I really like the look this mascara gives and the staying power is solid. My only question is the price— it feels a bit high for a drugstore mascara, unless I can catch a sale. Still, if you’re looking for length, volume, and that “lash extension” effect, this one is worth a try!

A Mascara That Actually Delivers Without the Panda

In the end, I finally decided to leave my review about this mascara. What can I say: the mascara is genuinely good quality. It doesn’t flake, it doesn’t smudge, and by the end of the day I don’t look like an angry panda with dark circles under my eyes.
When this product first appeared on the market, I tried to figure out how to order a sample before buying it, but unfortunately I couldn’t find a way. So I decided to take another chance and purchase it anyway. Usually I fall for advertising and later regret the money spent and the hope of finding my perfect mascara, but this time I did not regret it at all.
The brush is very comfortable to use, it creates a great effect on the lashes, and my sensitive eyes never reacted badly to it. The only thing I did to make the mascara last longer was occasionally clean the tube opening from dried mascara so nothing would fall inside, and I would wipe the brush from time to time.
Yesterday I finally had to let that tube go simply because it was completely empty, and I bought a new fresh one exactly the same.
I also want to add a few words about the price. The price is quite reasonable compared to other expensive mascaras that did not work for me and left the feeling that the money was wasted and the product was not what the advertising promised. So that is another pleasant advantage of this purchase.

Love love LOVE this mascara! I will preface this by saying that I am a pro makeup artist. I’ve tried probably over 100 different mascara brands and this one definitely lives up to the hype! From the applicator to the actual formula, it dies exactly what it says it will do. I have medium thickness and length lashes and this mascara made it look like I was wearing natural style falsies! I used a lash curler before I applied it but I can definitely tell that this mascara helped my lashes hold that curl all day. It also does not flake like some other more expensive popular high end brands which is a huge plus for the price point. I also only needed to apply 2 coats to get that length and fullness as advertised. I highly recommend this product if you are looking to get extra length and fullness out of a mascara.

I liked this, but I didn’t see any super lengthening. It is very build able and the wand is nice. The tube is pretty and well decorated and I didn’t experience any flaking. It was long lasting and had decent volume.

The Extentionist mascara provides serious drama to your eyelashes. It’s lightweight and adds curl with length. There is mild clumping if you add too much. If you want to add multiple layers then let the prior one dry first to avoid the clumps. It stays on all day without flaking. Removal is easy with mild removal or a makeup towel.

The mascara formula was thick and hard to work with. I found it was so thick it coated the brushes entirely and was hard to distribute. I would end up with clumps at the base of my lashes and they would stick together. I tried working my lashes more with the wand, even wiping down the wand but I would just end up with clumps. The formula dries stiff and hard. One positive is that it is easy to remove and does not flake once dry. This one just didn't work for me.

This L’Oreal Extensionist mascara is AMAZING. The tube is a super sleek silver that looks great in my makeup bag and feels really nice in my hand with oversized bumpy lettering that almost serves as a gripper. The wand is slim with the right amount of curve and bristles. It completely extended my lashes with a few swipes!

This is a really great product i love the way it makes my eyelashes stand out with out being to thick and weighing your eyelashes down.. It is also easy to remove at the end of the night. It also lasts all day so there is no need to reapply.

I absolutely love that you can see a difference in my eyelashes.. once I curl my lashes, they start going down almost immediately but with this mascara they last curled a lot longer! The packaging is cute, gives me fancy vibes and doesnt clump up if you want to later it! This was only after 1 layer! They dont feel heavy which sometimes other mascaras will do to my lashes! I love it so far for the past few months!

This mascara goes on easily with no clumping. Photos are of a single coat and you can see how well the brush separates and lifts the lashes for an instant pop. Mascara has not smudged or ran and comes off easily! Easily comparable to mascaras that are 3x the price!

L’Oréal Paris Extensionist mascara is my new favorite mascara. This mascara has an amazing texture when applied properly s the brush itself is thin and detailed to give you the length, volume and texture you desire. You can choose to build up the mascara by putting on multiple layers or but just one will do the job! I live how my lashes look. The brush is designed to give an great lift & curl. Flake and smudge resistant. Easily removed with gentle soap and water.

I love this mascara. You can barely tell i have lashes unless i use mascara. This mascara makes it look like i have full pretty lashes. My lashes dont look clumped together and stayes seperated like they should. It dont start flaking off halfway through the day and still looks fresh at the end of the day. It dries fast so you dont have to worry about it getting all around your eyes. You can use one coat or build it up as much as you like. The best thing is the price ive had more expensive mascara that this one puts to shame. As of now its my new favorite mascara.

As someone who already has relatively long lashes, I was impressed that this still gave me a boost. It takes a bit of time to dry down for me. However, once it’s on, it’s on while also being extremely easy and gentle to remove at the end of the day. The black color is great, and I’d really like to try other shades. Great drug store price point option!

This product is not really useful. It did help remove nonwater proof mascara, but I had a hard time with waterproof mascara.

I am so thankful to have gotten this mascara complimentary from Influenster. I immediately loved the tube upon opening the package… and the wand is PERFECT. It’s an early buildable mascara, that doesn’t leave your lashes sticky or clumpy. It allows for precision and you can actually reach the base of your lashes without making a mess on your eyelids. It doesn’t smear or smudge under the eye, and it’s easily removed with micellar water at the end of that day. I’m in love!!!!! This has easily become one of my favorite drug store brand mascaras!

The bristles on this mascara wand are basically non-existent so I don't get the separation I'm looking for with this mascara. My lashes get really clumpy on the first pass through and then I have to keep working with it to get it to look good. I do like this formula, with an eyelash separator and some patience I can build a really nice look but it's a lot of effort.

I have pretty short lashes, so I was pleasantly surprised that this actually says what it’s supposed to do and extend the look of them! It’s not too thick or clumpy and adds some length to each lash without causing them to stick together. The comb is a good length as well, I’ve added a picture for size comparison to my hand. It’s a decent size mascara, which should last me a while. I think if I added another layer, it would also fill them out while still extending the lashes.

This mascara has a great formula that’s not too wet and not dry. I love the smaller silicone brush and it’s slightly curved to nicely hug your lashes without making a mess. My lashes look long and defined and I rarely have to separate any clumping. I would definitely buy this again.

It’s long wearing, but almost too much. It’s the most difficult mascara to remove that I’ve ever owned, which is a bit annoying. However, it does lengthen the lashes. Overall, I would only recommend this if you like to spend a lot of time removing mascara.

Really like this mascara! I feel like my eyelashes definitely look longer because of them. One of my photos is no makeup at all thr other is fully done I think you can definitely see the pop of my eyes more with this mascara! It lasted long didnt really flake or clump up. However its getting 4 stars cause after a couple hours my eyes were a little irritated by it. Ive worn it a couple times and that seems to be happening but it could also just be me
