Love it with the sunblock

I love this makeup and buy it 4 at a time to make sure I never run out. Unfortunately, sometimes my complexion is darker due to sun exposure. I am religious about reapplying sunblock in the afternoon, but when I wear foundation it would mess that up, so I want a foundation with sunblock in it that I can reapply instead. Up to W8 that works (my Winter shade). But Spring, Summer and Fall I need W9, and it appears this makeup simply does not carry a shade darker than W8 that has sunblock in it. At least I can't find it anywhere. Why change the formula just because it's a darker shade? Everyone needs to be wearing sunblock!
But for the Winter, when the one with sunblock matches my complexion, this is a perennial favorite. Looks fresh all day even if I skip reapplying after lunch. I'm only reapplying to refresh the sunscreen application. Very natural looking on one's skin. I tend to apply it with a damp beauty blender and really press it into my skin. You wouldn't know I have makeup on except that no one's skin looks that flawless naturally. Great makeup.

No sunscreen anymore???

I have been wearing N2 for years and years. It was amazing as a super matte foundation for oily skin with good coverage and mineral sunscreen. Where did the sunscreen go????? We should be making more makeup with sunscreen, not less. It was awesome for layering with other sunscreen products as well. I have seen another “True Match” product out with synthetic sunscreen ingredients and a “luminous finish” but nothing with a matte finish and mineral sunscreen. I hope I can find something from a different brand.

Poor - Runny Like Water

I don't know what's happened to L"Oreal foundations. I purchased True Match to see if it could replace the ReVitaLift that's bee discontinued. The consistency of this was equivalent to water. I pumped it onto my finger, and it ran right off. I went to a different store, and you could see the L'Oreal foundations sitting on the shelves seperating. The ReVitaLift also started seperating when the formula was changed to omit the retinol. I'll never understand why companies "mess" with a good thing. In the name of progress, we get inferior products.

I was able to choose the color easily and it matched beautifully. The product stays on for hours and has a perfectly smooth texture that blends right into my face and neck. It’s my new Go To foundation.

New formula is a disappointment

I used this product for years and loved the coverage and feel of it. They have since changed the formula (probably to work with the much-hated new pump), and it's now dry and chalky on my skin. So disappointed that they messed with a good thing.

Effective for my 37 year old skin

All thoughts are honest and opinions are my own.* What an absolutely gorgeous foundation. I have been wearing this for two years and absolutely love it. I am a combination skin girlie and am 37 years old. I have redness and rosacea on my cheeks and very sensitive skin. I have loved L’Oréal Paris products since high school and their lip products always did me right so I figured their foundations would be great. I only have experience with their BB cream from high school and liked it. I like to shake it and apply it directly to my face; what I noticed is it’s highly buildable so start with a little and add more based on your desired coverage. I like using my foundation brush to blend it. I cannot describe how perfectly this sinks into my skin; the color match I have is W4 and it’s perfect on my skin. It blends down into my skin and covers my redness while feeling lightweight and comfortable. It just doesn’t make sense how great this foundation is yet how affordable it is; it’s seriously my top 3 favorite foundations of all time. The L’Oréal Paris True match outmatches so many high end $30+ foundations that I’ve tried- I have the Charlotte Tilbury foundation and while it is full coverage, it feels so heavy on my skin, I am always aching to take it off. The L’Oréal True Match doesn’t feel that way. I personally feel like this foundation could work for any age; like I said, I’m 37 and this works perfectly for my mature skin. Doesn’t highlight my wrinkles or fine lines. I pair this with my L’Oréal True match concealer and other L’Oréal favorites. I can easily get 10 hours of wear out of this foundation- including work and a workout. Another beautiful staple of mine by L’Oréal Paris. 10/10.

Good product but poor packaging

I like this foundation and have been using it for many years, however, the new packaging is terrible. The pump only works half the time which makes it frustrating and wasteful because you can’t get it out of the bottle. The twist off cap design was so much better.

i hate the new dispensers. It does not allow two shades to be mixed to get your truer shade. The dispenser is wasteful as when the bottle is considered empty, much foundation is left in the dispenser. The foundation in the old bottle could be mixed easily for a truer shade and one could see what is in the bottle. Please offer the bottled foundation as a choice. A bottle is also cheaper than the new dispenser.

No apto para piel seca. Tono erróneo

Tras investigar bastante me decidí por este maquillaje ya que tengo la piel muy seca en invierno y tiene una formula vegana que es importante para mí.
Hice la prueba de tono en la web, me recomendó el 3N y según las fotos yo también estaba de acuerdo con la elección de tono. Lo pedí por Amazon y era súper oscuro. Pedí el 2N y seguía siendo muy amarillo. Al final volví a por el 1.5N como ultima oportunidad y TAMBIÉN era oscuro pero lo pude medio usar con corrector y tal. Lo usé 4 días y entonces me decidí a llamar a Amazon para la devolución de los 3 productos porque su fórmula es HORRIBLE y no apta para piel seca. Queda bonito al aplicarlo y a las 2 horas empiezas a vez la separación de producto en tu piel y la piel completamente deshidratada y sin luminosidad. Después de una jornada de 8 on10 horas no quieres Imaginar el estado de tu cara.
He probado muchos otros maquillajes hidratantes y nunca me ha pasado esto. Ni siquiera con los mates. Mi rutina incluye tónico hidratante, serum, crema nutritiva y protector solar. Lo he probado con y sin primer y con y sin setting spray. Nada, no tiene solución.
No suelo escribir reseñas negativas pero este producto la merece porque se anuncia como apto para un tipo de piel con el que no es compatible.

I have used this formula for many years and I use n4. I love how it goes on I love how it looks and how it feels but I wish you had not changed the bottle type so what I do is I take the pump bottle and I pour it into an old bottle that I have and that works. The pump just does not release the proper amount that I want and oftentimes it's too much. Anyway that's my only complaint

Love the product but not the color change

I’ve been using this for a few years, even before the bottle style changed. I really like the feel / texture /blending of this product. My negative comment is in regards to the color changing. I buy the C2.5 and it is now darker so I tried the C2 again and that is now way lighter. I purchased the C2.5 from both Amazon & Walmart hoping it was just a mistake but they were both the darker version of the C2.5. I still had some of the C2.5’s from a previous order and they are definitely noticeable. I wish the company would have left them alone. In my opinion they were better before the change. I also prefer the other bottle verses the pump.

Didn’t work for me

I thought this was virtual tool to find my tinted moisturizer/ foundation color. All i saw were a lot of different faces of women with skin colors underneath. I didn’t see where I was to have facial scan.

Not a good match for me

I was excited to try this foundation, but my matches were all too orange and there are no other colors lighter. It also broke me out and made me very dry at the same time. I had to use a lot of product because it is so thin and it just accentuated my lines and dry, acne prone skin. Not sure what to get now.

Separates and flakes terribly

I want to start by saying i usually love L'oreal products. I got this because in the quiz it recommended this for my dry skin saying it was moisturizing. I've seen many people on tiktok rave about this as well. This was horrible for my dry skin. Looked super dry, separated and flaked within an hour and just looked all-around terrible. Made my face breakout as well. I tried with a few different primers and even glotion as primer and same results. Very disappointed in wasted my mo ey on this!

New formula is terrible

The new version is terrible!
I’ve been using Alliance Perfect (now True Match) for over 15 years. I was completely satisfied with this foundation and I never changed it to another brand. Now when it arrived in the new bottle and I tried it - the effect was like I bought a fake. So disappointed! Liquid like water , then sticky when it dries on the face, no coverage at all but at the same time emphasizes all imperfections, pores and dries the face.
Just tell me why you spoiled the legendary product?!

Used to be the BEST.... not anymore

Have used True Match for many years = W4 & have loved it! The BEST foundation out there BUT.... just noticed there is no sunscreen in it anymore. That's a BIG negative as I wear it while running & bike riding outside. The sunscreen component is critical. I also had noticed the foundation was making my face feel & look drier. Am sure it's because of the sunscreen removal. Unfortunately, will have to look for a new brand. PLEASE bring back the protective sunscreen/original formula. Also, please bring back the regular bottles. I don't care for the pump.

No match for me- Spent over $100 at target and cvs

Super disappointed. I really wanted to try this foundation cause I’ve seen it all over tiktok and none of the foundations match my skin tone :’( neutrals are too pink, cools look red, warm is too orange. I bought 7 shades none of them looked not even close to my skin color. I tried N2, N1, C1, C1.5, C2, Warm 1-4 ( according to the website my color is supposed to be W4 but it looked like a bronzer) is the darkest shade on my neck. I even tried the 0. Something in the cool shade and they were way off. I took some pictures with flashlight so some of the color in the picture look ok but in person looked pink or orange <\3

Love this foundation, hate the new packaging

I absolutely love this foundation! Super blendable, great overall coverage and SPF! I've been using it for over 10 years. BUT -- please, please, please bring back the small glass bottles. These new pumps suck!!!! It was so much easier to mix shades too with the smaller glass bottles. I hate when they update packaging and us consumers suffer.

Just bought a new bottle. Horrible. I have used this product for at least 35 years, since about the time it was first marketed. First, you added the pump, which meant product left in the bottle and thrown away. Now, it’s watered down, doesn’t cover anything (the primary purpose of putting glop on one’s face), and leaves a shine on the skin. Who wants to look like they have oily skin? The SPF sun protection has been taken out of the formula. So, the product doesn’t even out skin tone, it doesn’t cover blemishes, it doesn’t protect from UV, and it’s shiny. Why should I buy this bottle of colored water? SO disappointing to have a really great product go so far downhill so fast. Bring back the old formula, or I’m changing brands.

20 years of my favorite foundation

I keep testing other more expensive foundations and the colors are not a great match or they make me break out. This feels and looks like nothing on the skin and provides the perfect amount of coverage. I’ve been wearing shade N1 for 20 years. I do miss the older bottle and SPF though.

I like the product. I would have given it 5 stars before the the change to a pump dispenser. Purpose seems to be to require you to buy more. As a long time user of this foundation, I am looking at other options now.

Miss the old formula

I used the foundation for years and loved it. When I ran out, I purchased the new formula and I’m so disappointed. It does not cover as well and actually makes my fine lines look worse. The product is watery and makes my skin look dry. I also have breakouts with this product.

Declining Satisfaction

The new formula (color c2.5) is probably my third bottle of L’Oreal’s true match foundation. It was my replacement for Giorgio Armani’s luminous silk. First the true match is a perfect match to my skin which is really wonderful. However, I feel the new formula isn’t as nice on my skin. I’m 53 and have very dry skin, previously I never felt the formula showed any lines or wrinkles. Now, I feel like it drys my skin and does reveal the fine lines. I’m really considering going back to the Giorgio Armani. I really wish you’d go back to the previous formula that also contained sun screen. It was perfect

The best for the price

I've been using true match for over 7 yrs and I find it covers so nicely and I have sensitive skin and this is the best. Use to use clinique foundation but it didn't cover as smoothly and it's expensive, every time I go to the clinique counter for lipstick they are amazed I have foundation on and I refuse to tell them the brand. I keep them guessing. Lol

Are you planning on coming out with a True Match Super-Blendable Foundation in N2.5? I used to use N3 but it was a little dark so I was mixing with N2 and it was just right. I tried W2.5 and it is too yellow and C2.5 is definitely too red.

Does True Match have any sunscreen protection at all? I really don’t want to add a layer of sunscreen underneath of if I don’t have to.

Why did you change the True Match foundation bottle to a pump ?!? I have used this product since its debut android was VERY disappointed when I saw it had changed !!! It's messy and I have shot foundation across my bathroom sink and wall twice now !!!
