Perfect for my mature skin!

I happened to buy this by chance at my local Target store, since my usual foundation was out of stock. Boy am I glad I did. After 10 years of trying to find a foundation for my 40+ year old (now 50) complexion, I've finally found the foundation that works best for me. This foundation goes on as smooth as silk, yet it doesn't feel oily. It brightens my skin and I swear it takes at least 5 years off my complexion. It doesn't settle in any of my fine lines, and makes my face look so smooth. I'm thrilled! And this is after spending countless $$$ on high-end foundations from the department store makeup counters. PLEASE, Loreal, keep this foundation in your collection, and don't change the shade or formula. You'll have a customer for life.

Slimy mess!

I have given this foundation more than a fair try, because so many people love it. However, I cannot stand this foundation! Using a brush with this foundation is the worst way to apply it because it streaks and shows brush marks. Using a sponge with this foundation you can sort of get it to smooth down, but it still leaves texture on the skin somehow. Once you coax it into a semi decent finish after probably fifteen minutes with a sponge, it never sets so it moves around on the face and if there is wind, your hair gets stuck in it like lipgloss! Yet somehow, it exaggerates my dry patches, making me look flaky despite my combo/oily skin. There is minimal coverage with this product, and I don't even feel that it gives me a bright luminous finish. Finally, I own both shades W1-2 porcelain/light ivory and W3 nude beige, and the gap between these shades is astronomical! the lighter shade is at least a shade too light for my skin while the darker shade is at least 2-3 shades too dark for my skin. The only positive to this foundation is that the warm shades are quite yellow-based, which can be difficult to find in a drugstore foundation. Try out the infallible pro-matte or pro-glow instead! They both wear MUCH better!

Gorgeous and luminous natural looking

I am 57 and I have worn this for maybe ten years. I have gotten compliments all these years whenever I had this on my skin. People asked what make up are you wearing. What did you do to your skin or you have beautiful skin lucky to not wear make up. I work hard at having nice skin and I don’t always have flawless skin but this always made my skin look like it did. Also it never sat in any mature skin lines. It only Made my skin look better, healthy and luminous. Most luminous make up can’t be worn be worn nicely on older women, it would show pores or lines. This did not. I’m so, so bummed that this make up isn’t being made anymore.

No olive friendly shades now that the regular True Match got upgraded with more shade and undertone inclusion. I love the luminous finish of this foundation, but it’s dated and needs to catch up with its cooler cousin. I hope an upgraded True Match Lumi is in the works.

Great foundation, less shade options

I love the dewy finish of this product as well as its sustainability, BUT disappointed that it does not have the many shade options as the Tru Match. I’m still searching for the best Lumi shade that’s closest to the Tru Match N3, without having to do my own mixing.

I have been using true match super blendable foundation n3. It’s time to replace it and I can’t find it with a broad spectrum SPF17. Have you discontinued that formula? Do any of your other products have a sunscreen in them?

So I have tried several of the other L’Oréal foundations and they are all terrible on my skin. They look cakey and make my skinned looked aged. It's the perfect light, comfortable feeling you want on your skin, yet buildable coverage with a natural glow!!! I have tried many high end brands but this makes my skin look healthy and radiant and for an amazing price!!! I also have sensitive skin and this has been very skin friendly. I would give five stars if it would last longer into the day. Nothing that setting spray or powder can't fix.

This is my first time using this foundation, I bought it on a whim not knowing much about it, and I'm impressed by how it looks on my skin - the finish has this healthy look to it, slightly dewy, but also a soft matte -it's flawless and not shiny!! The coverage is excellent, but still natural. It's my new favorite foundation - I wear it in N1-2. Will be buying this from now on! It outperforms some other high-end foundations I've tried. This actually reminds me of Dior, but a lot cheaper! Another plus, is that I feel my skin has improved in clarity, and reading more about the foundation, this could be due to Vitamins C & E, so the skincare side of it also has improved my skin.

I am very fair with cool undertones. I need a .5 or 1 shade in cool or I could possibly use neutral in a 1 or lower. I bought neutral 1-2. It is too dark. I love the formula. I realize that you have shades for me in the true match but I wanted a luminous finish instead of satin or natural. Women on the lighter and darker ends of the spectrum want more choices. We can't all afford the high end products that have our shades.

Please don’t discontinue it. It is seamless, looks like perfected skin, not makeup. It’s light weight. It diminishes lines and pores while plumping my skin up a bit. It’s perfect. Keep it on the market!

I have tried mixing it with Neutral N1-2, Soft/Classic Ivory, but the results are still just a bit too yellow. If Loreal could make it in a Cool shade just a step lighter than Creamy Natural, it would be perfect. I don't even have to wear moisturizer with this.

So I thought I'd try True Match Lumi because I'm having trouble finding the Glow Amour. The Lumi is a full shade darker. So now, I have to mix it with my old True Match to get the right color. Not good.

Highlights all your rough spots on your face, and pools in lines. Rubs and wears off super easy hard to apply blush or anything else on top of it. Only thing it did right was give you a good glow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by hayley137 from Great for Dry/Normal Skin I have normal/dry skin that gets greasy in the t-zone depending on the humidity. I purchased this in Soft Ivory/Classic Ivory because what I typically purchase is always called ivory. It was a bit darker than stereotypical ivory usually is, but it blends SO well that it gives me (neutral undertone fair/light complexion) a natural, healthy warmth. However, I would need to go one shade lighter during winter. This is a true buildable medium coverage foundation. I apply one pump with a damp beauty blender and go back over problem areas with tiny pumps. I don't need more than 1 1/2 pumps in one application and it covers my isolated pimples and dark spots. I just like everything to be even and healthy looking. Anything this doesn't cover I spot conceal. I love that it has SPF because I find that putting on SPF under my makeup makes my pores huge and makes me break out, but I want my skin protected. I don't set this with powder because I love the finish, but I do find that I have to blot my t-zone in the afternoon (but it's always either humid, windy or both and that's just what happens when my skin is exposed to the elements.) This stays on my skin until I remove it, and doesn't accentuate my dryer areas like my jaw line. I get compliments on my complexion in this foundation, which usually doesn't happen because "luminous" foundations are usually too liquidy and "luminous" for my climate and skin. I've looked greasy at 10 am before, while simultaneously having dry patches exposed. This foundation actually looks healthy without being as thick as a coat of paint. I would not recommend this if you have oily skin or want a true full coverage foundation, but otherwise it's everything I need!

It wipes right off if you so much as touch it even after setting it. The cushion was a better product and a better color match. The C2 was perfect and you DISCONTINUED it!?! I just found out I love it and I can't even buy backups. This foundation is the closest thing to it and the color selection is absolute trash. It doesn't go light enough or dark enough. Whatever formula was in the lumi cushion and the c2 color just put into a bottle and I will buy it!!!!

From the moment I tried this, I felt like I had swept my skin with a silk scarf (and no they didn't pay me to say this) I actually felt this way. I haven't worn face make-up in ages, but when I read that it had vitamin C and retinol in it, I thought, well I give it a chance and see if it improves my skin, never expecting it to feel so nice as well. An extra bonus to get me to use it every day!

My favorite foundation, matches me so well and can put a little of this on to even my skin tone out and walk out the door. Looks like I don't have any make up on and a tiny pump is all I need. Even though I have oily skin I don't look like a grease ball at the end of the day, I feel just as beautiful. Love this stuff.

I wore this foundation in Creamy Natural Cool for a little while and switched a while back to a powder mineral system. While I did like the powder minerals, I found at times that it would settle into my fine lines and it was expensive. So I went back to using this product in the same Creamy Natural shade. I had forgotten how good this feels on my skin and the healthy glow.

It is buildable and has medium coverage. SO good, I've recommended this to all of my friends and family members! If you are looking for lighter coverage, I suggest using the Lumi Cushion instead; also a great product, just lighter coverage on me!

This foundation blends so well, it's soft and it matches my skin perfectly. It's affordable, I like the ingredients and it makes me feel beautiful. It's not cakey and it doesn't make my creases in my face stick out. I would definitely recommend this product before buying super expensive foundations.

I walked over to the L’Oréal section and found this product. I am obsessed. It really does make your skin luminous. It is lightweight and the perfect coverage. The only thing keeping it from being effortlessly flawless are a couple of decimals. W4.5 and W5.5 have changed the game. No more dull N6 or pinky/pale N4 to work with. I'm using the TrueMatch liquid for now, but I'd like to change it up every now and then, so I bought the mineral foundation/setting powder, blendable compact & LUMI cushion(DISCONTINUED?). I'd like to see this Infalable liquid, Ageless liquid , Infalable & Pro Glow Pressed powders in W4.5 & W5.5 as well.

I’ve tried just about everything out there in the hunt for a foundation that works for my combination, freckly skin. This has the best balance of light to medium coverage depending on the amount of layers applied. I apply with my finger for a natural finish and the product warms a bit as I apply. Works wonderfully for a smooth and slightly dewy finish. Wears well under bronzer, blush, etc...Dont know why I keep looking. Will stay with this forever!

I loved that foundation and was pretty upset that it was discontinued. I searched for something similar, exploring other brands too, but just couldn't find the same shade, coverage and consistency. Finally I bought True Match Lumi Foundation. I can say that this is very close to Advanced Never Fail Foundation! It covers well and doesn't cake. My husband even told me I had a glow! I thought he saw the foundation and was joking with me, but he didnt even know I switched foundation! I tried setting powder, but it looks so much better when I set it with True Match Super-blendable Powder. N1-2 Soft Ivory/Classic Ivory seems to be a perfect match for me. Now I just pray that L'oreal doesn't discontinue this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Straightouttacompton from A nice foundation for a healthy glow This foundation feels so light weight on the skin and it sits well on my oily skin (as long as I use a primer and setting spray) I use the shade 'C2' and it doesn't look like I'm wearing makeup at all. When I wear this particular foundation it does give my skin a natural healthy glow that doesn't look like excessive oil on my skin. It blends well and it doesn't oxidize to a darker shade after wearing it for a few hours. Overall this is a good foundation.

It starts out light-medium coverage but can be built up to medium. I love applying a light layer of this and then spot concealing to get a glass skin look. Light ivory is the perfect shade for my fair, warm toned skin.
