Just can't due it.

I really like this foundation powder having only trying it recently, but there must be something wrong. I've purchased two, both of which immediately cracked into pieces. The first I carried in my purse and it made a complete mess. The second compact, I only used at home, and it broke up exactly the same. I would completely love this makeup if it lasted. This can't possibly be Loreal's intention. What happened?

L'oreal I think it's time to realize that maybe, you're the problem not the people who are buying the product. It's obvious the company changed the formula, cut back on quality control, stopped putting in the effort into quality ingredients and instead just wants to pass blame onto some other reason why the product keeps crumbling apart or breaking ."Use a lighter touch", "Oh no! call us and reference ######". Stop, just stop. you see dozens of photos of broken powders and complaints about it. Pull the product, fix it and then apologize already.

I have been a loyal user of the Infallible Powder Foundation for several years and truly love the coverage and finish. It has been my go-to product for a long time. Unfortunately, I have experienced the same issue with nearly every compact I have purchased over the past two years. It often appears that small cracks are already present in the powder, and because of this the compact quickly breaks apart after only a short time of use. This has happened with the last six or seven compacts I’ve purchased. Because the product is not inexpensive, it has become difficult to continue buying it at this rate, even though I really love how well it works. I wanted to ask if there have been any changes to the formula or packaging that might be causing this issue. I would truly like to continue using this product and would appreciate any information or assistance you can provide.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! BREAKS UP SHORTLY AFTER USE! omg I love product - but I can't continue to buy ever again because it breaks up right away!! I've used this for YEARS! BUT loreal changed something & it breaks up now. Never used to. I'm going with a totally different brand because of this. L'OREAL.. pls fix this or you will lose your customer base.

Cracks up immediately

Bought the infallible powder twice first at Walgreens and the second in Walmart. Both cracked up in less than 6 weeks. I don’t use it everyday. First I thought it was from traveling on a plane and then it gapoened with the second purchase again. It is frustating because I like it but it is a waste of money.

Well it wasn’t nonsense AT ALL, 2 weeks in my compact broke, I didn’t drop it and only use light dusting and a brush to obtain the product. I would not recommend buying this is you want to have something that lasts. I threw mine away and will move back to a brand that doesn’t break apart while still very new.

Loreal would do well to bring back the original 16 hour pro matte foundation in a powder. We all loved it! It PERFECTLY matched my skin tone, was never cakey and made my acne prone, sun spot skin look incredible. Since it was reformulated to this, it's HORRIBLE. It cakes. It's thick. It makes my skin gross. I'd ask Loreal to bring back the old one.. that NO other foundation on the market compares to but I've already tried. They don't care. I'd not recommend this foundation powder. It's a total disappointment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by katie03 from Decent dupe for bare minerals I was broke as a joke back in January 2022 when I was between jobs and ran out of my trusted Bare Minerals. I bought this from Amazon for nine dollars to carry me through for six weeks. I normally wear Bare Minerals shade 01 and purchased this foundation in the shade Pearl (lightest shade). For the price I bought it at, it did a phenomenal job. It does transfer onto a face mask a little without a setting spray, but not horribly. You have to really rub at it or wear a mask all day for it to transfer off, and even then you won’t be left with weird patches or lines on your face. The finish also looked almost identical to Bare Minerals power ( this one was just a bit more matte and fuller coverage). I went back to bare minerals after having the finances to do so six weeks later because I preferred the feel of it on my face (this one is not heavy per se, but it isn’t as weightless as bare minerals either). I only took off a star because I think what it costs now ($17) is ridiculous.

I prefer using a buffer brush to apply the foundation since the sponge absorbs way too much of the powder. Really good staying power for a powder foundation!

It’s on my clothes and in my sink and on my floor or all over my car. I love the product itself but I just now threw them both in the garbage. It’s not worth the mess and then the case won’t close until I clean up all the pieces around the edges. Total waste of money. I will never purchase this or anything else from L’Oréal again.

Good texture and color match. Don’t like the packaging at all. Having to open two separate compartments is overkill. It’s messy, and for just a quick touch up…ugh! Also, the cake of powder started breaking up and falling apart the first time I used it. I’ve been using it about a week now and each time I open it, it falls apart more and leaves a powdery mess everywhere. Again, ugh! I’m going to put the remainder of the powder in an old compact and salvage it best I can because I do like the product. Doubtful I’ll buy it again.

I already like the L'Oreal pressed powder for low-makeup days, but I saw this and thought I'd give it a try and see how it competed with some Sephora foundation products I'm trying out. The lightest shade, "Pearl," worked really well for my very fair (with neutral undertones) skin-tone. Applied with a thick powder brush and kept layering it on until amount of coverage desired (we'll see how it fares over my repeatedly red t-zone), and the finish is really nice. Didn't sink into lines and pores and covered unevenness. It helps to have freshly micro-exfoliated skin to get rid of "sebaceous filaments" that look like oil plugs on the nose and chin, too. Of course it's always best to go into foundation with an exfoliated canvas. While I set with the L'Oreal pressed powder, I didn't prime with anything at all. Once I get my process of moisturizer/SPF/primer down beforehand, I hope this goes on as nicely. We'll see how it looks at the end of the day and whether it's settled into smile lines and pores, but so far so good! Holds up nicely in comparison to Sephora brands; it feels more natural than Dr. Jart+ CC cream with SPF but not as light and flawless as Givenchy Prisme Libre foundation.

Even though she wasn't that impressed with it, she gave reasons why others might like it. That's what peaked my interest. So I decided to try it and I really like it. Normally I don't wear foundation but once in awhile I do. This is perfect for me. It goes on fast and covers nicely. If you are like me who kind of likes foundation now and then but doesn't every day, give this a try. It comes with a sponge and even a mirror. I also feel the price point is good as compared to other similar products.

I live in a hot climate and have never had to blot for grease with this powder foundation. Even after a hike in the hot sun, my skin still looked flawless. I love the blurring effect for my pores and fine lines. I’ve been using it quite regularly for the past year and have never had my compact crumble. I’ve seen this has been an issue for others, perhaps just use more gently.
