Don't like the brush
I bought this for the first time because it's a safe, non toxic product, but, do not care for the applicator brush. Use the flat side to apply and the brush to separate... It goes on clumpy and the brush just adds to the mess. I tried wiping some product off the brush but still and up with clumpy eyelashes.

Bring Back the Original
I’ve been using L'Oréal mascara for over 30 years. My mom started me on the Voluminous line when I was 16. I’ve been loyal ever since. When L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara launched, it became my absolute favorite. It lengthened, lifted, and separated my lashes better than anything else. I no longer found myself reaching for a safety pin to separate my lashes. I recommended it to everyone.
Unfortunately, something has changed. The wand now feels flimsy and doesn’t insert smoothly into the tube. In addition the formula is not the same. It clumps and flakes throughout the day, which never used to happen.
I’ve tried many other mascaras over the years, but I always came back to this one. My tried and true favorite. Well until now. Please consider bringing back the original wand and formula. It was perfect, and those of us who have loved it for decades can absolutely tell the difference.

To thick
I loved my first tube! Was so excited to get another. I don’t know if something changed or what but I hate it now. It goes on so thick and clumps my lashes so bad. It’s such a fight and I kept my old wand to my other tube just incase it was the wand but no. I’m very disappointed

Worst L’Oréal product I have ever used. Don’t buy unless you want spider leg looking lashes. too much Product comes out on the applicator making it extremely wet upon application. The applicator is extremely flimsy and does nothing to separate lashes. I wish I had saved the packaging do I could take it back!

Love it!
I’ve searched for a mascara that isn’t clumpy and actually lengthens and separates my lashes for years. I love this mascara and will no longer be scouring the make up aisles trying to figure out which mascara will be the best - here it is!

I have a 13 years old daughter and she got this telescopic and it's really great product. You jyst apply once and it seems like fake eyelashes. We just loved it.

Clumpy
I purchased this product after seeing the advertisement saying no clumps, can layer and can wash of with easily with soap and water. After spending over $10, I have found that all are untrue. This mascara can not be layered as the first layer already clumps your lashes. Once it dries, which takes forever, it takes days to come off! Even my makeup remover cloth doesn't remove!
Definitely won't buy this again!

Waterproof mascara is not waterproof
I bought my favorite waterproof mascara. Was in the pool, never put my head under water, however was splash a couple times. Mascara is NOT waterproof. I looked like I had a couple black eyes.

Containers faulty, wasted product.
I really like the actual mascara but after a while the rim which reduces the amount of product on the wand either disappears into the lid or perhaps into the container??? So now it’s thick and gloopy all over the wand. Really frustrating. I’ve tried cleaning the screw threads and looking for the missing piece but can’t find it. Such a waste as there’s plenty of mascara left. This has happened twice so now I have two half full mascaras that I can’t use.

Love the product been But the gold Lake stuff on
I’ve been using this product for over 15 years. I really like it, but I do not like the gold on the outside it flakes off of the container. It’s all over my makeup bag and on my hands and face all the time it never used to be that way, but ever you’re using It’s awful please change it back or I’m going to change make up please look into it!!!!!

new formula is not good
i used to love this mascara and it used to make my lashes look outstanding. however, now i've noticed the formula has changed. it weighs my lashes down, flakes, and is super dry - alike to an old mascara, however, i will buy it brand new and it is like this. i miss the old formula!!! please bring it back. i had to switch to a different brand. this used to be my favorite. i'm heartbroken.

Not the same
I’ve used telescopic mascara for a really long time but this year, I noticed a difference in the formula. The new formula clumps and does not build to lengthen the lash as the old formula did. It also smears under the eye and is practically impossible to take off. Very disappointed the formula has changed. Will need to buy a different brand.

Love the mascara/ hate the container
I've been using this mascara for years and love it.
But over the past year I've noticed that the container that the mascara comes in is different.
The gold paint starts flaking off within a couple of days. It gets all over your fingers. I've even gotten the gold paint flakes in my eyes. I can't be the only one having theses issues.

Great product, but packaging has deteriorated
I have used original Loreal Telescopic mascara in the "gold" tube for more years than I can count, probably since it was introduced. There is nothing like it for lengthening my short, sparse lashes and the narrow wand makes it easy to get into the corners without making a mess around the eye. However, in the last 6-9 months (as a contact lens wearer, I change my mascara every 3 months faithfully, marked on my calendar) the mascara tubes themselves have been flaking their coating and making "gold" dirt specks on my face. When I speculated what the flakes might be, it then was readily evident after taking a closer look at the tube. I thought that the first tube with this issue might have been an anomaly, but sadly it was not. I also see where a non-Telescopic Loreal mascara generated a review with the same flaking tube problem. Please review your changed tube manufacturing processes and fix this issue. In researching this issue I was pleasantly surprised to see that this mascara is now a hit on TikTok (I am not on that platform). A great product in a (probably cheaper to manufacture) tube package that flakes will eventually hamper sales of this product. I really don't want to look for a different mascara, but may have to if the packaging issue continues. Thank you.

NO CLUMPING!!
By far, this is the BEST mascara I have ever used. My eyelashes are now "73 years old" and are shorter and thinner but this Telescopic mascara separates each of my lashes and adds instant length. LOVE THESE!

Used to be the best mascara ever…
I’m so sad to give this one star - I’ve used this mascara for over 20 years, but recently the formula was changed and it’s 100% different - clumpy, too thick, and difficult to remove. Please bring back the old formula! Thank you.

This should no longer be called the “original” telescopic mascara. The formula has changed. It now flakes and is not removable with soap based products. I have worn this for 10 years. Very disappointed because there is nothing else that compares to your original product.

Best drugstore mascara EVER
I have literally used hundreds of drugstore mascaras over the years. Out of the handful I have liked, they all were discontinued not long after launching which gets very frustrating. Except this one. It has been around for decades and that says that sales are through the roof and it is no wonder why! This mascara rivals many mascaras I have used that cost five times as much. It applies easily, and quickly gives a beautiful clump free lengthening effect. It has a very little volume, but for me I only really need length. And it does not look spidery or fake, the look it gives is flawless but natural. I absolutely love it and have been wearing it for years. I wish the waterproof version was as good - but as many waterproof versions do, it lacked the length and/or volume of the original. Love, love, love this and the price!

Formula change was a bad move.
This has been my go to mascara for years, but no longer since the formula change! The new formula makes my eyes very irritated and watery all day. Also, like others have said it’s very difficult to wash off, even with makeup remover.

The Telescopic formula has recently changed making it incredibly clumpy and dry. It does not build well AT ALL like it used to. It’s not even a similar formula. I really thought I got a bad batch. This was my holy grail mascara for the past 15 or so years and now I can’t even use the mascara. I have recommended this mascara to friends and family over the years and they have said the exact same and have all discontinued using. Not to mention, this formula has made my eyelashes fall out and has irritated my skin. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!!!!!!

L’Oreal Original Telescopic Mascara
I have been using L’Oreal telescopic mascara for over 40 years. I love the skinny brush as I have curled long lashes to begin with and the brush gives me the best coverage. I have tried the L’Oreal with thicker brushes but it just doesn’t work for me. I will only use the Original Telescopic mascara and only the washable one. All my life I have gotten compliments of my pretty eyes.

I ONLY use this mascara, however my one complaint is that it dries out so quickly. Like, within a week if not less. I always close the mascara TIGHTLY yet it still dries out.

Formula changed
I have used the telescopic mascara for about 3 years now and absolutely swear by it. However, in the past couple months it seems like they have changed the formula and now the mascara leaves residue on my eyebrow bone (it never used to) and now seems like it comes off in little tubes which are much harder to remove that the previous formula. It comes off when I dont want to (throughout the day on my upper eyelid) and doesnt come off easily at night when I try to take it off even with micellar water like I normally use. I have bought 3 different tubes of this mascara hoping that it was some weird mistake but all of the new tubes now seem to have the same bad formula. I would love to see the old formula come back that smears off easily at night instead of tubing off and that doesn't leave residue on my face throughout the day.

Didn’t work properly
Was so excited to get this mascara but after the 1st I used I couldn’t get the wand back in the tube. I tried everything but it wouldn’t slide back in for me to finish my eyes. And it was the only mascara I had with at the hotel for a wedding I was attending. So very disappointed in this product!!

Allergic reaction
I just purchased Telescopic Original and within seconds of applying it, my eyes began to burn and water. Sadly I can’t use it and basically threw away $10 by buying it. It’s been 20 minutes and they still are burning.

I purchased the telescopic lift mascara. It stated on the package that you could remove it with soap and water. So I used it and guess what you can not remove it with soap and water. I use your products but never again.

This has been my favorite mascara for years and years. The applicator brush used to be curved and I think the formula has been changed. It is not the same. It doesn’t lift and lengthen without clumps like it used to. It used to be fabulous and now it’s not. I’m so disappointed and have to find a new mascara.

New formula is horrible
Used this mascara for year and loved it. The length was amazing and it didn’t clump. However they had to have changed their formula. The last two time I’ve purchased it, I thought I accidentally got water proof, but I didn’t. The mascara is now extremely clumpy and doesn’t come off like it used to. The length is nothing like it used to be. Time to find a new product because this is awful now.

I’ve used this product religiously for 10+ years, most recent purchase does not wash off, it applies very thick and clumps, additionally it does not dry. I’m at a loss, this was my go to for some many years. The only thing I can think of is a recent formula change.

Don’t like new formula
I had been using this mascara religiously for 15ish years but I believe the formula must have recently changed because the last two tubes I’ve purchased I can’t remove the mascara like I used to be able to. I double checked that it’s not waterproof but I am using makeup remover in addition to my normal cleanser and there’s still about 20-30% mascara left. It’s so annoying because I loved this for so long but unfortunately think it’s time to find a new goto mascara.

Used to love it

Love the length
I truly wanted to love this product and I did for the most part! It made my lashes so perfect and so long and beautiful! But it did not come of at all costs. Which is both good and bad. I wore it the first time to a concert and got rained on and it lasted. But when I got home I tried every method to get it off and nothing worked.

I really enjoy this product!
I really enjoy how this product wears! I love the formula, how it is not too thick or goopy when you apply it to your lashes. High hopes, but fell short
I really wanted to love this mascara. I gave it multiple tries but I'm just not sure it works well for me. The brush is interesting, with extremely short bristle, more like nubs. I was worried the bristle wouldn't apply enough, but that wasn't a problem. Despite the name, it was definitely not lengthening on me. It was very volumizing, but perhaps too much, since it ended up being extremely clumpy and hard to manage. The biggest pro is that it didn't smudge or flake throughout the day, which I greatly appreciated.

New favorite mascara
I use mascara every day and this is by far the best one I've used. I have tried them all from inexpensive to expensive and this L'Oréal mascara is amazing. The brush helps with application so much that i don't have to worry about creating a mess or getting on my eye lids the mascara lasts all day with no smudging or falling off. It helps lengthen and makes my eyelashes look so thick. Definitely try this out!

Long Lashes!!
I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. I love L'oreals other mascaras, including my everyday mascara lash paradise, and I wasn't expecting to like this one almost as much. This mascara provides much in the way of length, not as much in volume. I also think there is room for improvement in the staying power, as I noticed some fallout on my face at the end of the day.

I like this mascara just fine but I don't think I would get this again. I don't really like the brush on this, it does cause my lashes to clump together a bit though I do like that it's a bit thinner so it's easier to use on my bottom lashes without making a mess. It did add length to my lashes.

I got this mascara for free in exchange for my honest review. I liked the formula of the mascara. It didn't dry out or flake off. Didn't cause any irritation. I did not like the applicator itself. It went on gloopy and didn't do a great job of separating my lashes. I had to go back through with a different wand.

The formula was too thick and wet. It clumps my lashes together and smudges under my eyes almost instantly. I found it difficult to apply because of the wand shape and floppiness. I wouldn't repurchase this mascara.

Great for length, not for volume
Really liked this product! Gave me great length but not so much volume. Because i have both short and thin lashes, I prefer a mascara that can do both. However, if volume isn't your top priority and length is, this is the mascara for you. Another thing I enjoyed is I didn't experience any flaking!

Nice but requires technique
When I first tried this, I was in a rush. Let me tell you it was a massacre- it looked like a toddler did my makeup. I've learned you have to wipe the brush off and go slow. This gives mega volume and hold but no curl. You'll need an oil cleanser to remove.

Will rebuy!
Haven't used this mascara since high school and was reminded how good it is. I love how precise the brush is on both the top and bottom eyelashes. Not super volumizing but great for everyday and as a base for a more volumizing mascara when I want to look more "done up." I don't think I've found another mascara that separates lashes as well as this one!

This is a great mascara, adds a lot of volume, and an okay amount of length. I prefer a mascara wand to have longer bristles, as these are quite short. You do get a lot of thickness that way, but I would prefer a little more length instead. Overall wore nicely and I think it's a good buy.

Prefer other L'Oréal mascaras
I received this mascara free in exchange for my honest review. It's an ok mascara. I like the intense black pigment that Carbon Black offers. I like that it's fragrance-free and ophthalmologist-tested. The brush has a lot of small bristles that separate the lashes well and you can apply multiple layers without clumping. The small brush makes it easy to get every lash on the lower lash line. It also does last a long time. I did cry with it on and didn't experience any of it running down my face. However, the 60% longer lashes claim fell very short. I was hoping for a lot of length but it did very little for me. It didn't add any volume or curl either. Oddly as others have mentioned the Carbon Black does not have the same brush the other colors do. I did use Telescopic in the gold tube with the pink brush years ago. The bristles were longer than this one and I do remember liking it a lot more. The Carbon Black bristles are half the length so I don't think they offer the same benefits. I can't understand why the brush would be different when it's only a different color. If you want a very natural look that just darkens your lashes you may like this. I prefer something more dramatic and this didn't do much for me. I like quite a few of L'Oréal's other mascaras so I will stick to those instead.
