I've been using this mascara for years, and it's the best. I've tried many of the more expensive name brand mascaras and they don't even compare to this one! It separates and lengthens without clumping. Makes my lashes look like falsies and I won't go out without my mascara on. Love Love Love this stuff!

I'm so frustrated and disappointed that L'oreal discontinued the Telescopic Waterproof Mascara. It was my Holy Grail mascara for everyday wear. It was the most natural looking yet highly enhancing, no clumps, no smudges, and best of all the BRUSH. It's not like the new flexy ones on the telescopics right now. It was firm and was just the best shape and design. I can't find another mascara with the same brush. I'm so distressing over this.

Do you want longer lashes?

You can believe me or not but this is my experience. I am in my forties, looking for a new mascara and came across this loreal telescoping mascara on amazon. I liked the bottle and bruch and all so I purchased it. It came and it was very "dainty" compared to other mascara's I have used that are quite big, and can be clumpy, so I was interested! This looked delicate. I had to be careful using it, slow so that the brush separated my individual lashes. Zero clumping by the way! So I have been using it for about 2-3 months. Been through a couple bottles, maybe 2 at the most. Here's the kicker.....my eye lashes are growing longer. I am not joking, kidding or wasting your time, my eye lashes are getting longer. They have gotten so pretty and cute. Highly recommend this product and I better stop using it before I can braid my eye lashes!

Used to be great, but now it smears so badly

This has been my go-to for years, but the formula has definitely changed recently. With the last couple tubes, it runs and smears under my eyes really badly within a couple hours. I never had that issue before. I tried switching to the waterproof version, but that one has the opposite problem -- it's so difficult to get off, even with lots of makeup remover, that I end up having to either leave some of it on or risk ripping out lashes trying to get it all off. The non-waterproof formula comes off much better (obviously), and it never used to run, so it was perfect. But now it smears so badly I can't even get through half a workday without getting raccoon eyes. I can see that tons of people have this same complaint. Time to listen, L'Oreal.

You ABSOLUTELY changed the formula. Now it's just gummy and clumpy. Like many others stating this, it took me so long to find mascara that would work for me. Now I just don't know what to do. Why ruin a great thing? And to leave it on the market in the same packaging as though it was the same - THAT'S tantamount to theft. I want my money back for the last 3 that I purchased - as they have all been this inferior formulation. Of course I don't have the receipts - and you'll require that. You need to fix this and somehow apologize to all of us who have suffered through this irresponsible action.

Applicator wand breaks easily

I have used this product for years and liked it. However, recently I bought it and as soon as I opened it, the wand bent so I had to hold it on the thin shaft to apply it. Very awkward and messy. I bought another tube thinking that was a fluke and I would use the new wand once I finished the other tube. It has also broken after only a shot time. Two tubes of mascara wasted. I wanted to give you a zero rating. Very disappointing. Fix your product!

Disappointed after years of loving this product

I’m so upset. I have used this product for about 12 years. I’ve recommended this product to so many people after getting compliments on how beautiful my eyelashes looked. About three weeks ago, I began noticing severe itching and eyes were always looking bloodshot. I took a few days off from my eyeliner and only wearing mascara, and the problem didn’t resolve. I then took a few days off from this mascara and my eyes felt completely better. Tried using the mascara again once my eyes felt better, and again, bloodshot itchy, flaky eyes. They must have changed the formula and I’m so disappointed, because I went through so many different mascaras, until I stumbled across this one and fell in love. Now I have to start experimenting with new mascaras again. Very upset about it.

Formula Changed

Don't like the brush

I bought this for the first time because it's a safe, non toxic product, but, do not care for the applicator brush. Use the flat side to apply and the brush to separate... Bring Back the Original

I’ve been using L'Oréal mascara for over 30 years. My mom started me on the Voluminous line when I was 16. I’ve been loyal ever since. When L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara launched, it became my absolute favorite. It lengthened, lifted, and separated my lashes better than anything else. I no longer found myself reaching for a safety pin to separate my lashes. I recommended it to everyone.
Unfortunately, something has changed. The wand now feels flimsy and doesn’t insert smoothly into the tube. In addition the formula is not the same. It clumps and flakes throughout the day, which never used to happen.
I’ve tried many other mascaras over the years, but I always came back to this one. My tried and true favorite. Well until now. Please consider bringing back the original wand and formula. It was perfect, and those of us who have loved it for decades can absolutely tell the difference.

Worst L’Oréal product I have ever used. Don’t buy unless you want spider leg looking lashes. too much Product comes out on the applicator making it extremely wet upon application. The applicator is extremely flimsy and does nothing to separate lashes. I wish I had saved the packaging do I could take it back!

I’ve searched for a mascara that isn’t clumpy and actually lengthens and separates my lashes for years. I love this mascara and will no longer be scouring the make up aisles trying to figure out which mascara will be the best - here it is!

Clumpy

I purchased this product after seeing the advertisement saying no clumps, can layer and can wash of with easily with soap and water. After spending over $10, I have found that all are untrue. This mascara can not be layered as the first layer already clumps your lashes. Once it dries, which takes forever, it takes days to come off! Even my makeup remover cloth doesn't remove!
Definitely won't buy this again!

Waterproof mascara is not waterproof

I bought my favorite waterproof mascara. Was in the pool, never put my head under water, however was splash a couple times. Mascara is NOT waterproof. I looked like I had a couple black eyes.

Containers faulty, wasted product.

I really like the actual mascara but after a while the rim which reduces the amount of product on the wand either disappears into the lid or perhaps into the container??? So now it’s thick and gloopy all over the wand. Really frustrating. I’ve tried cleaning the screw threads and looking for the missing piece but can’t find it. Such a waste as there’s plenty of mascara left. This has happened twice so now I have two half full mascaras that I can’t use.

Love the product been But the gold Lake stuff on

I’ve been using this product for over 15 years. I really like it, but I do not like the gold on the outside it flakes off of the container. It’s all over my makeup bag and on my hands and face all the time it never used to be that way, but ever you’re using It’s awful please change it back or I’m going to change make up please look into it!!!!!

new formula is not good

i used to love this mascara and it used to make my lashes look outstanding. however, now i've noticed the formula has changed. it weighs my lashes down, flakes, and is super dry - alike to an old mascara, however, i will buy it brand new and it is like this. i miss the old formula!!! please bring it back. i had to switch to a different brand. this used to be my favorite. i'm heartbroken.

I’ve used telescopic mascara for a really long time but this year, I noticed a difference in the formula. The new formula clumps and does not build to lengthen the lash as the old formula did. It also smears under the eye and is practically impossible to take off. Very disappointed the formula has changed. Will need to buy a different brand.

Love the mascara/ hate the container

I've been using this mascara for years and love it.
But over the past year I've noticed that the container that the mascara comes in is different.
The gold paint starts flaking off within a couple of days. It gets all over your fingers. I've even gotten the gold paint flakes in my eyes. I can't be the only one having theses issues.

Great product, but packaging has deteriorated

I have used original Loreal Telescopic mascara in the "gold" tube for more years than I can count, probably since it was introduced. There is nothing like it for lengthening my short, sparse lashes and the narrow wand makes it easy to get into the corners without making a mess around the eye. However, in the last 6-9 months (as a contact lens wearer, I change my mascara every 3 months faithfully, marked on my calendar) the mascara tubes themselves have been flaking their coating and making "gold" dirt specks on my face. When I speculated what the flakes might be, it then was readily evident after taking a closer look at the tube. I thought that the first tube with this issue might have been an anomaly, but sadly it was not. I also see where a non-Telescopic Loreal mascara generated a review with the same flaking tube problem. Please review your changed tube manufacturing processes and fix this issue. In researching this issue I was pleasantly surprised to see that this mascara is now a hit on TikTok (I am not on that platform). A great product in a (probably cheaper to manufacture) tube package that flakes will eventually hamper sales of this product. I really don't want to look for a different mascara, but may have to if the packaging issue continues. Thank you.

By far, this is the BEST mascara I have ever used. My eyelashes are now "73 years old" and are shorter and thinner but this Telescopic mascara separates each of my lashes and adds instant length. LOVE THESE!

Used to be the best mascara ever…

I’m so sad to give this one star - I’ve used this mascara for over 20 years, but recently the formula was changed and it’s 100% different - clumpy, too thick, and difficult to remove. Please bring back the old formula! Thank you.

This should no longer be called the “original” telescopic mascara. The formula has changed. It now flakes and is not removable with soap based products. I have worn this for 10 years. Very disappointed because there is nothing else that compares to your original product.

Best drugstore mascara EVER

I have literally used hundreds of drugstore mascaras over the years. Out of the handful I have liked, they all were discontinued not long after launching which gets very frustrating. Except this one. It has been around for decades and that says that sales are through the roof and it is no wonder why! This mascara rivals many mascaras I have used that cost five times as much. It applies easily, and quickly gives a beautiful clump free lengthening effect. It has a very little volume, but for me I only really need length. And it does not look spidery or fake, the look it gives is flawless but natural. I absolutely love it and have been wearing it for years. I wish the waterproof version was as good - but as many waterproof versions do, it lacked the length and/or volume of the original. Love, love, love this and the price!
