glad L'Oreal are coming to their senses

I had purchased the original Elnet spray, only to throw it out after the first use, loved the hold but HATED the fragrance! as soon as I read the e-mail L'Oreal sent me, I literally went to the store to buy the fragrance free version. hope they keep bringing more fragrance free formulas in their skin care line as well, I think L'Oreal is losing a lot of customers to Olay and Neutrogena because they regulary have fragrance free versions of their product.

Not really unscented

This hairspray works, but is not unscented. I'm sure that it's better than the original, but the ingredients even say there is fragrance. For me it can be an initial problem then it quickly goes away. But if someone were really allergic to scents, it is unfair to label this unscented. Surely you can actually make this unscented!

Great hold and flexibility.

I really have enjoyed this hairspray! It’s extra hold with out being too heavy or stiff. It dries in seconds and my hair still has a lot of flexibility. It is unscented and basically odorless. It made my curls last and stay less frizzy with its humidity resistance. I really enjoy this hairspray!

Great for humidity no white residue

Great aerosol hairspray! This hairspray held up my slick back ponytail in the humid NC weather while outside for about 3hrs at the Asheboro Zoo. Anything that can last in that humidity is a great product to add to my collection. Also I did not have any flacking or white residue when redoing my hair on second day wear.

I liked this hairspray! It has a fine, consistent spray which I like. It makes hair smooth without that crunchy feeling a lot of other hairsprays will give you. It holds really well and helped hold my hair and tame frizziness. It helped smooth out and hold my ponytail! It has a hairspray smell but that’s to be expected because nothing is truly unscented. Overall I liked this and will continue to use it.

The hairspray is easy to hold in your hand and evenly spray with a fine mist on the hair.the hairspray works well for a all day hold while also being able to bush through as needed and not feeling heavy or sticky and keeping the hair in place. Not a strong scent.

The fragance free formula is a huge plus because it doesn’t irritate my scalp ot compete with perfume .The spray applies evenly with a fine mist,giving good hold without making hair feel stiff or sticky ,the packaging is sleek,easy to hold,and the nozzle works perfectly.It’s gentle and leaves no heavy residue.

Virtually no smell, decent hold

It has virtually no scent except for an extremely light almost cucumber-y pleasant smell. I don’t use a lot of hairspray so the hold was medium, but if you put on more I think it would be a decent hold. One light coat and the hair wasn’t crunchy at all. The biggest benefit is the lack of chemical smell.

Long Lasting Hold

I have very fine, frizzy, slightly wavy hair, so hairspray is a mush in my hair routine. I’m so glad I tried this one out because it is perfect for my hair type. It provides extra volume to my limp hair without weighing it down. It also helps keep my frizz and flyaways at bay. The hold on this lasts all day! I will continue to use this product as my preferred hairspray.

I usually really don’t like to use hairspray because of the crunchy feeling it leaves, but this hairspray does not have such an effect! My hair still feels soft and the hold lasts a long time. It’s perfect for holding my hair in place all day. Highly recommend!

Doesn’t hold up but is brushable

I don’t feel like this helped my hair in the slightest bit. It did not help hold my curl/wave at all. I’m giving it a 2 star because it was brushable and the unscented is a big step up from the regular one which I have tried in the past and couldn’t use due to the smell

Pretty good hairspray

I was pleasantly surprised by the L'Oréal Elnett Unscented Hairspray. It provides a pretty decent hold without making my hair feel overly stiff or crunchy. It did a good job of keeping my style in place throughout the day while still allowing for some natural movement. One of the biggest points for me was that it is truly unscented, just as advertised. I can be sensitive to strong fragrances, so I really appreciated that this hairspray didn't leave behind any noticeable scent.

Good for up do hairstyles

I had higher hopes for this but unfortunately it didn’t really hold for too long. I was happy it at least held throughout my graduation ceremony. It doesn’t smell bad tho and it doesn’t flake when you do an updo. It works really good for up dos, I’ll say that. It doesn’t come off at all so 10/10 for that.

The unscented formula is a big win - great for anyone sensitive to fragrance - and it feels beautifully light in the hair. I also love that it has so few ingredients. Unfortunately, the hold just didn’t deliver for my fine curly hair, despite being labeled “extra hold.” It may work better for other hair types, but if you have fine curls, you might want to keep looking.

This is a great product. The smell is not too heavy but still has a pleasant smell. The hold is good and last all day, but doesn't weigh my hair down. The only down side is that the spray is very powerful and a lot comes out at once, have to hold it a good distance away from the hair.

I really like the Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold light hairspray unscented. There is an only trace “hairspray smell,” but it dissipates almost immediately. I like that the mist is fine, and has a nice hold without crunch. I didn’t experience any flaking at all, and the nozzle didn’t clog at all or have any issues. The packaging looks nice, it’s understated, but just enough without making it appear too basic.

No fragance

I want to start my review by saying that I really liked the presentation. The bottle looks super elegant and is a good size. As for the product, if it delivers what it promises, it does not feel the strong and common aroma of hairspray. It also leaves no white residue in the hair. I didn't feel like my hair was roasted and it was very easy to remove.

Good for all day hold plus some

I will say, this hair spray provide an all day hold with little fly aways that can go into the next day. This allowed me to put my hair into a bun that lasted for 2 days. The can is a nice slim hold with easy application. There were no flakes or visible residue on the hair. However, I did experience some stickiness when going to wash my hair where the hair spray was applied. But overall good product.

Light weight with no strong scent

What intrigued me at first was that it’s unscented! Sometimes hairspray has such a strong scent that I don’t like but this was much better. Also I love how after I let the spray set and brush out my curls, my hair feels soft and not crunchy. It doesn’t make my hair feel heavy either, very bouncy and light. Dries quick and leaves no stickiness.

Really great inexpensive hairspray! It’s very lightweight and doesn’t make hair feel sticky or hard. It worked against the frizz in my hair and held my hair in curls for 12 hours! Usually hairsprays don’t hold my hair but this product did. This product also didn’t make my hair feel greasy or dirty. Would recommend this hairspray!

Hold perfect I put spray in day extreamly hot weather and humidity but my hair doesn’t move Stay all day just like it should be. I spray all over my hair after drying. Smooth finish and spry not on scalp. Result so fine and stay all day. My hair looks clean and not residue . And I wash easy to to remove spray with water. No more flaking.

Strong hold

Wow. It has been a long time since I have used an extra strong hold hairspray and honestly it made me remember why I don't like it. The Elnett Satin Extra Stong Hairspray does a good job holding hair in place. It does make brushing difficult unless you do it right after you spray. For an updo or ponytail this is great, but for hair styled down I did not like it. I prefer a lightweight brushable hairspray.

Lightweight but strong hold that doesn’t leave hair crispy

Overall, this is a great product that holds hair in place both tied back to keep the flyaways back and also after styling to keep a slight curl. I did find the bottle slightly heavy so at times it’s hard to maneuver when spraying and the smell was a bit nostalgic of old hairspray. However, the aerator spray is really great if you’re someone who enjoys a medium too stronghold that’s lightweight. I recommend this product.

The favorite hair product! It kept my hair frizz free and at place for the day! Smells good and hold great. Doesn’t really required reapplying for the day. Packaging is avg and no after application flakes or build up.

Has the hairspray formula changed recently? I have noticed a big difference in how my hair feels these days. The last two cans of spray I bought have made my hair feel very sticky, and glued together. Not at all like it used to be after using Elnett.

I’m giving it a 2 star because it was brushable and the unscented is a big step up from the regular one which I have tried in the past and couldn’t use due to the smell

It provides a pretty decent hold without making my hair feel overly stiff or crunchy. It did a good job of keeping my style in place throughout the day while still allowing for some natural movement. One of the biggest points for me was that it is truly unscented, just as advertised. I can be sensitive to strong fragrances, so I really appreciated that this hairspray didn't leave behind any noticeable scent.

I was happy it at least held throughout my graduation ceremony. It doesn’t smell bad tho and it doesn’t flake when you do an updo. It works really good for up dos, I’ll say that. It doesn’t come off at all so 10/10 for that.

I also love that it has so few ingredients. Unfortunately, the hold just didn’t deliver for my fine curly hair, despite being labeled “extra hold.” It may work better for other hair types, but if you have fine curls, you might want to keep looking.

The only down side is that the spray is very powerful and a lot comes out at once, have to hold it a good distance away from the hair.

There is an only trace “hairspray smell,” but it dissipates almost immediately. I like that the mist is fine, and has a nice hold without crunch. I didn’t experience any flaking at all, and the nozzle didn’t clog at all or have any issues. The packaging looks nice, it’s understated, but just enough without making it appear too basic.

As for the product, if it delivers what it promises, it does not feel the strong and common aroma of hairspray. It also leaves no white residue in the hair. I didn't feel like my hair was roasted and it was very easy to remove.

This allowed me to put my hair into a bun that lasted for 2 days. The can is a nice slim hold with easy application. There were no flakes or visible residue on the hair. However, I did experience some stickiness when going to wash my hair where the hair spray was applied. But overall good product.

Sometimes hairspray has such a strong scent that I don’t like but this was much better. Also I love how after I let the spray set and brush out my curls, my hair feels soft and not crunchy. It doesn’t make my hair feel heavy either, very bouncy and light. Dries quick and leaves no stickiness.

It worked against the frizz in my hair and held my hair in curls for 12 hours! Usually hairsprays don’t hold my hair but this product did. This product also didn’t make my hair feel greasy or dirty. Would recommend this hairspray!

I spray all over my hair after drying. Smooth finish and spry not on scalp. Result so fine and stay all day. My hair looks clean and not residue . And I wash easy to to remove spray with water. The Elnett Satin Extra Stong Hairspray does a good job holding hair in place. It does make brushing difficult unless you do it right after you spray. For an updo or ponytail this is great, but for hair styled down I did not like it. I prefer a lightweight brushable hairspray.

I did find the bottle slightly heavy so at times it’s hard to maneuver when spraying and the smell was a bit nostalgic of old hairspray. However, the aerator spray is really great if you’re someone who enjoys a medium too stronghold that’s lightweight. I recommend this product.

It doesn’t smell like anything so I’m not crowing in the smell of aerosol which is amazing. The weight is super lightweight and it’s buildable and it doesn’t look white on top doesn’t leave that white cast. I love it.

It also doesn’t have that old school strong hairspray smell like other hairsprays I’ve used in the past. My top knot stayed in place a long time too without being crunchy.

I’ve tried many hairsprays over the years, this is one of the few that holds my hair in place without making it feel crunchy or stiff. It kept my curls in place overnight and all day. My hair was still brush-able after the day. The scent was nice and not too strong. Definitely will be using in the future!

One of the best I’ve ever used - it held my styled hair in place completely between washes and my hair didn’t feel stiff at all. It’s amazing that this hairspray kept my hair styled but still feeling light and airy between washes. I also appreciated that there was no scent and my hair still smelled like my shampoo!

I'm not going to lie, this full-sized version is a little clunky to hold and spray very accurately, so I'd definitely recommend a smaller brush to use. This is especially true for wavy- or curly-haired girls as it can really help tame frizz as it becomes more humid. It provides a pretty strong hold and doesn't turn crunchy. It dries pretty quickly too.

It smells nice, helped give my thin hair some volume, and it was nice and light. There wasn’t a thick layer of hairspray left on my hair and it wasn’t heavy. It was easy to spread and had a wide span. Would definitely buy this again!

This particular type keeps everything in place. I mean, a tornado could roll through and my hair would still look fabulous. It has staying power, for sure. It dries down super fast and keeps you're hair light-weight even though it barely moves. When you don't want your hair to move, choose this, every single time!

I’m weary of strong hold hairsprays because they usually leave a white residue on my dark hair. I’m pleasantly surprised with the performance of this hairspray and also like the ease of application due to the packaging design. It’s comfortable to depress the top to release the powerful mist. I have yet to find a hairspray that can maintain my hair volume throughout the day without it looking like a helmet so I was not surprised that my volume was short lived. However, at this price point, the performance of this hairspray makes Elnett a must buy in the future.

Unlike other hairsprays I’ve used this one doesn’t give off burnt or chemical smell. It provides great hold without feeling stiff or crunchy, and my hair still felt natural. I was a fan after using it the first time but I recently had my hair style for a formal event and realized the hairstylist used the same product. It definitely reinforced that it’s a great product.
