Really stops the brassy tones, better than others
I’ve gone through at least 5 different colors and brands over 20 years to find something that will cover most of my gray without becoming very brassy within days. Tried toner, purple stuff, darker colors….everything turned my hair brassy…until I tried 5UA L’Oreal cool supreme ultra ash Medium Brown. This one worked perfectly! Finally! No more orange tones. And it lasts.
But now I have trouble finding it. Was it discontinued?? I hope not.

I can not find anywhere and 3UA is best color
3UA is the best color I finally found for my hair type and it never gave me hue color in red or orange after coloring. But I’m unable to purchase anywhere.

How come you stopped producing it? The rest of your colors are not working or series... It was the only one I have been using for the last three years happily after…. The new shades or PACKAGES ARE NOT WORKING! Please read it as loudly as you can!!!!! YOU HAVE TO RELEASE THIS COLOR AGAIN!!!!!

Tried the Ultra Medium Ash Blonde- Never Again
I tried this ultra as medium Blonde and this was the worst color ever. I usually use Loreal medium ash Blonde which has always been my go to. This product dried my hair out and the color was so dull. Yeah I'll stick with my go to. But won't be using the ultra ever again.

Actually is what it says it is. No red undertones
The cool supreme line is the ONLY natural looking brown colour that I’ve ever used. It does what no other “Cool”, “Ash”, or “Anti-Brass” colour brand does. It actually isn’t red! I’ve loved all 3 brown shades and they are the only things I want to use on my hair. But, once again, a product I like is being discontinued and the red and green undertone colours will of course stay on shelves.

Best I’ve Found
This is the best ash medium brown I have found. It doesn’t turn brassy and covers my grays well. However, I’ve been having a hard time finding it for a while now. I’m not sure if it’s being discontinued. I hope it’s not and L’Oreal can get their supply issues worked out.

Grey coverage
I love this product! Finally a color system that keeps my hair cool while covering those sparse stubborn grays. The blue conditioner keeps my hair from getting brassy.

Disappointing
Not enough product in developer.2FLOZ instead of 2.53 ! Comb is useless. Product did not even cover my grey hair properly. I usually like L’Oreal products but I will not buy this one again. I ll go back to regular hair color.

Superb Hair Color Product
I have been using the Excellence 6R Light Auburn hair color for almost 20 years and I love the way it looks and feels after using it. I have very long hair and it is so silky and smooth afterwards. Covers my gray roots and highlights my hair. I get compliments all the time and it looks very natural.

Deceiving

Does Not Dye Grey Hair
I tried the L'Oreal Excellence Crème - 6 - Light Brown. It did not dye my grey hair at all. I followed the instructions exactly. Very disappointed. Will not buy again.

Very good.
Excellent product. Have been using it for 20+ years, excellent gray coverage. Only one issue and that is with the new packaging of the conditioner. There is enough conditioner supplied for the initial use and once weekly use until the next coloring. However the new design of the tube leads to the tube splitting open when you try to squeeze the product out. I just colored my hair and was able to get enough conditioner for this one use, but the rest went down the drain. Whoever thought this tube was a good idea needs to be sent packing.

HAIR CARE BEWARE!
The product is good. However, it doesn't last when you are having to repeat a color after only two-three weeks. In addition, Products (all of them for color) clog the hair folicles and stop HAIR GROWTH to areas of the scalp. This is why I may stop using all of your products. I have 70 years old and like a full head of hair. Instead, I have, and for many years, noticed hair loss and balding spots.

Great coverage for gray roots..faulty packaging
This is the second time I’ve used this product in the light brown color. I’m pleased with the actual color and the “staying power” of that color. I didn’t notice the roots or the dullness of my hair for at least four weeks. Five stars for that! However, I have a complaint on the packaging. I purchased the first kit from CVS and when I unscrewed the conditioner, the sides of the tube split open and squirted the contents out all over the shower. Not a big deal……but, I purchased the second kit about four weeks later from Target and the same thing had happened. I unpacked the contents and noticed leakage on the tube and on the sides of the other containers. I think your packaging needs some tweaking! Otherwise a great product!

Love Excellence Hair color
I’ve used this color and brand (5G) for decades.
The best color and gray coverage. I’m sold on L’Oréal products. In spite of reviews I see no change in the eye makeup and hair color that others talk about. I love L’Oréal

Medium Blonde
I finally found a hair color that I absolutely love and used it twice to find out it's out of stock everywhere. It's only the medium blonde shade which happens to be the best color for me. I used the dark blonde and was pleased with the results but just a little darker than I like to go with in the summer. I've looked everywhere in stores and online...very disappointed.

New formula with shampoo does not work!
Your new Excellence Hair Color with the shampoo stinks! With the previous Excellence without the shampoo I would not need to recolor my hair for 10 weeks. This new one with the shampoo has only lasted 5 weeks which is totally unacceptable! I will definitely be changing to another brand since you apparently added the shampoo so you could make more money by making the hair color not last as long. Shame on you!

too dark for me
While I love this product and does tone down the brassiness as advertised the color is just too dark. Medium Blonde is really a light ash brown. This is not what I want. I have used it 3 times so far trying to get myself to like and accept the color, but it's just not me. I used your medium beige blonde for many, many years. It was the perfect color for me and then you stopped making it. I was so happy to see this product and was very hopeful. But until you can make one shade lighter, I won't be buying this in the future.

Cool supreme 5ua is the only hair color that does not make my hair reddish it is the best however I can’t find it anywhere cvs has every color except this one

Amazing anti brass results!
Best at home hair color - mimics the salon. Anti brass technology is amazing. My hair gets brassy and anti brass makes a huge difference. Will stop coloring at salon and use this instead - it’s that good! Please keep making this product - it’s the best available!!

purple passion
hi tried the 8ua and it was darker than i wanted but love the way it covered and how it feels.. but i wasnt sure if i was suppose to use the whole tube of shampoo that came with it..so i did..dont think it said to use a portion of it..just to use after you rinse the color out..so what is the best thing to do? i know the conditioner you use every time you shampoo..

I loved this, but came out a little dark . I usually use the 9 or 9 1/2 Ash blonde not ashy enough. This left my hair feeling great as always. Tried the competitors purple mixed 9 w 10 colors was nice but it faded fast and hair was dry.
A shade lighter would be perfect.

My New Favorite - just wish it wasn’t out of stock
I love the product and the Ultra Ash Brown is perfect. Long lasting, no brassieness! My only complaint- unable to find it on a regular basis. Currently out of stock everywhere, in all the stores here- even Amazon. Tried to find my old medium ash brown in excellence crème- that’s out of stock as well.

Going to be a long 7 weeks !
I have been using Loreal hair color for over 25 years. I have used both Excellence & Preference. # 9 in the winter & #8 in the summer. I like to go a little darker in the summer ,because of the sun which lightens it. I saw that L'Oréal came out with a new product, Cool Supreme. Using the chart, I bought 8UA. Well my hair is now brown ! So, unless you are looking to become a brunette....stick to what works. It is going to be a long 7 weeks ,till I can dye my hair again !!! UGH

Had High Hopes
Been using L'Oreal since I was 16. Now that I have "silver highlights" -- I was excited about this new line.
Bought dark blonde and medium blonde, similar to what I use in the Preference and regular Excellence lines. The dark blonde looked brunette, and washed out within 2 weeks; enough that my hair stylist said I needed to get my roots done and I told her that I just colored my hair two weeks ago.
Medium blonde last night - color looks like a dull brown. Yay...just in time for Spring...not. I am so disappointed and feel like I just wasted my money and time.
Now I have to wait weeks before I can change out the color. I'd prefer my natural color back.

The color results of the shade 8ua is much darker
I just used this shade. Thank goodness after I pulled it through to my ends I only left it on for a couple of minutes. I would have ended up with brown hair. Now I look like I have an umbra effect. I’m hoping it fades. If not I will have to get some highlights put back in. I have been using L’Oréal hair color products since the late 1980’s.

I was excited to try this yet very challenged by the reviews I read here.
I will tell you… it is called ultra ash… meaning, it will be ash and darker than a natural shade… that is ash… this is intense, nurturing, moisturizing, made my hair silky and it was so gentle to my hair I am literally loving this product! I wanted a lighter result yet ashier than my light ash brown therefore I used the dark ash blonde and achieved the darkest shade on the box which is beautiful and a great shade for me. I truly love, love! this product!

Color turned out TOO dark
I bought 8 UA ultra ash medium blonde and used it over medium ash blonde loreal that had been applies 4 weeks before. The color turned out to be medium brown. Not happy with these results. I followed the directions and timed everything.

I used 7UA cool supreme because my naturally dark blonde/light brown hair goes brassy very easily. Followed instructions very carefully and still got very warm toned color!!!!!!!
