Finally, a product that works on my fine, thinning hair. Since undergoing chemo 4 years ago and losing all my hair, it grew back in patches and I've been looking for a product that would add body .and thickness. Everyone promises, but no one delivered. I came across the Everstrong products and decided to try it. From the very first day it's a noticeable difference. Use the thickening shampoo and the conditioner together and you'll see a big change in your hair.

Do not use. It causes massive tangles

I used both shampoo & conditioner. They tangled my hair which is fine and thin. The tangles weren't baby tangles but massive tangles. The back of my head after showering was a huge wad of tangled nest. Like a brillo pad. The type of tangles that pull your hair out when you brush it or comb out the tangled. It made my hair drier. However it smells nice.

I originally used Elvive volumizing Shampoo and conditioner, however, I started to notice hair loss only to find out it was removed from the market for this reason. I then switched to EverPure Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner. I really liked the product but after several weeks of use, I noticed hair loss again the same as with the Elvive product. This did not happen in the beginning. Other reviewers expressed the same problem with the EverPure product. Not happy with the latest results and may have to change products. I currently uses Loreal for all my hair products.

I totally recommend this shampoo for your hair if your hair is thin or fry it leaves your hair really soft and it gives this shine that makes your hair look so good! Totally not oily it’s more like neutral, it made my hair grow and thick in 3 months! Of using the shampoo and conditioner totally love it for sure buying it again!

Terrible from a former loyal customer

I have been using L'Oreal Everstrong Thickening shampoo for many years and was very satisfied with the results. I have thin, fine hair and this improved the appearance of it. Since I cannot find this product anywhere, I have ordered it from 3 different stores who said they had it, at a premium price. Each time, I received EverPure instead. Walgreens tried to tell me it was the same shampoo in different packaging. The EverPure version is terrible. Not the same shampoo at all. I returned all of them. Please bring back the original product of EverStrong.

They changed the formula

I was a faithful user of the thickening shampoo & conditioner for 4 years... Then they went and changed the formula and my hair started falling out. I am extremely angry!! Not only did L'Oreal ruin a fantastic product, my butt length hair paid the price for it. You'll know you have the newer formula because the cap on the tube is not dark green; it is light green! I have the old and new tubes and combed the ingredient list. It is different!! I cannot believe they destroyed such a good thing. They've lost my trust. I'll never purchase L'Oreal products again or any other brand they own. I am done!!!

HAIR LOSS - DO NOT PURCHASE

Devastated, used it for a little over three months. This shampoo and conditioner has caused me hair loss. I have sores all over my scalp as well, that are beyond itchy to the point it has affected my daily life. Not only physically, but has caused a toll on me mentally and emotionally. Contacted L’Oréal in hopes they’d do something, yet was told my case will be escalated but still haven’t heard back. Very frustrated with how the company handled this. It now will be escalated on my behalf if I don’t hear back sooner. Not only did I have a negative affect, my good friend has as well from the same exact shampoo line. Please reconsider before purchasing. My hair is something so important to me, as it is for most and I don’t want this to be you.

IT REALLY WORKS!

I started using this product about 1 year ago. Prior to using it, I noticed that last summer when I pulled my hair back into a ponytail that my hair was so thin that you could see my scalp in rows. This year, I pulled my hair back into a ponytail and realized I no longer have to use a comb and hairspray to move my hair around to make it look fuller. This really works! I am the mayor of my small village and having my hair thicker is important to me. Thank you!

I love this shampoo! I have been trying to find a shampoo that works for years, since I was 24. I am almost 40 and having a thickening shampoo really helps. I am very self conscious of my bald spot and my receding hairline. I used to hide it as best as I could. Never wore a hat because they can make the bald spot bigger. If I could give this 10 stars I would.

I have fine thin hair. Soon after receiving a color treatment, my hair became brittle. Switched to EverStron and noticed difference immediately. Using daily and my hair texture is smoother, feels thicker and I have much less tangling and breakage when styling.

My hair is fine and used to be pretty and wavy and I had a lot of it. Over the past two years it has thinned and it lost its body and turned oily, stringy and flat with lots of shedding. After trying lots of other shampoos I decided to try Everstrong. The shampoo makes a very thick rich lather, but rinses easily, and the conditioner does take a minute to rinse out. But, after just a couple of days of use, my hair looks fuller, with body, but without the cotton candy feel that other body boosting products created. My waves are coming back, and it's not flat any more. Sometimes I can get a day between shampoos.

Best Shampoo for Fine Hair

In my teenage years I was a consumer of L’Oréal Ultra Rich Beauty Formula Shampoo. After the product disappeared from the market, I switched to a competitor’s product. Recently, I have become dissatisfied with the shampoo and conditioner I have been using for my fine hair, so I decided to peruse the hair care products on the L’Oréal website. Upon completing my perusal, I went to the nearest store to look at the hair care products. In the end, I selected L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Shampoo. L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Shampoo contains rosemary leaf, jasmine, and juniper berry to gently clean the scalp by removing build-up and excess oil, so your hair is stronger and thicker looking. The shampoo is free of harsh sulfates, salts, or surfactants. When using the shampoo keep in mind a little goes a long way. The lather is rich and luxurious with a pleasant mild scent. After shampooing, I recommend following up with the L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Conditioner.

Bought this shampoo 2 months ago and it was better than the previous shampoo I have bought because I was losing too much hair. Due to stress, my hair started to thin and fall too. During the first 2 weeks of using this shampoo, I have noticed that my hair felt thicker amazing, However, after 2 weeks, my hair reverted back to its normal condition (kinda). Would not say that it is an excellent product because my hair is still thin and was hoping to at least improve my hair fall as there seems to be rosemary included in this product. Nevertheless, it does clean well and makes my hair soft together with the conditioner. I also like the tinge of the herby fragrance of the shampoo & conditioner ( does not have strong fragrance) (:

So impressed with this product - but the packing is terrible. The thickening shampoo, well, thickens over time to the point that after a few shampoos there is buildup in the opening which means from 3/4 full to empty you're straining your hands to squeeze enough out to wash your hair. I've tried other formulas of the EverPure products and they don't have this issue with the packaging. Please consider a larger opening for ease of use.

This is by far the best drugstore shampoo+conditioner I’ve ever used. I have tried other versions from L’Oréal’s Ever line of products but these consistently give me the best results: thicker, shinier, healthier feeling hair with weight but no weigh down, and leaves all of my scalp and hair feeling clean and balanced. I have med-long length fine hair but enough of it, and other products even from this line leave me with dryer ends and an oilier base. I love the smell of this one too because it’s extra herby/botanical compared to the others. Please don’t change a thing, and please please--never discontinue!!

I have tried many hair care brands from cheap to expensive and have found this to be the best for me when taking everything into consideration. Sulfate-free, makes my hair manageable, affordable and smell great! I'm not a fan off musky or floral, heavy scents for hair care. This scent is light and refreshing (a great alternative to Aveda's rosemary mint for a fraction of the price). Please never stop making this!

I bought this almost a month ago and I am so happy with the results! My hair is oily and also tends to have a lot of fly aways which makes it hard to sport the "polished look". I’ve been jumping from brand to brand to find a hair care product that both smells good and has that cooling effect on my scalp. My hair is left so soft and almost shiny look to it. Get compliments all the time.

Other Sulfate Free Shampoos Work Better

I have baby fine hair. I usually have to wash my hair everyday. When I washed my hair with the L'Oreal sulfate free shampoo in late afternoon by the following morning it felt and looked like it already needed to be washed. I tried another brand of Sulfate Free shampoo that worked much better...Aveeno. It made my hair weightless,clean,shiny and my hair stayed clean for two-three days.

this is the 4th time I purchased this product. obviously I like it or I would not be buying it again however this time the shampoo has a gritty texture to it when applying. Why is this? I don't like it at all.

The tangles weren't baby tangles but massive tangles. The back of my head after showering was a huge wad of tangled nest. Like a brillo pad. The type of tangles that pull your hair out when you brush it or comb out the tangled. It made my hair drier. However it smells nice.

I then switched to EverPure Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner. I really liked the product but after several weeks of use, I noticed hair loss again the same as with the Elvive product. This did not happen in the beginning. Other reviewers expressed the same problem with the EverPure product. Not happy with the latest results and may have to change products. I currently uses Loreal for all my hair products.

I have thin, fine hair and this improved the appearance of it. Since I cannot find this product anywhere, I have ordered it from 3 different stores who said they had it, at a premium price. Each time, I received EverPure instead. Walgreens tried to tell me it was the same shampoo in different packaging. The EverPure version is terrible. Not the same shampoo at all. I returned all of them. Please bring back the original product of EverStrong.

Then they went and changed the formula and my hair started falling out. I am extremely angry!! Not only did L'Oreal ruin a fantastic product, my butt length hair paid the price for it. You'll know you have the newer formula because the cap on the tube is not dark green; it is light green! I have the old and new tubes and combed the ingredient list. It is different!! I cannot believe they destroyed such a good thing. They've lost my trust. I'll never purchase L'Oreal products again or any other brand they own. I am done!!!

I have sores all over my scalp as well, that are beyond itchy to the point it has affected my daily life. Not only physically, but has caused a toll on me mentally and emotionally. Contacted L’Oréal in hopes they’d do something, yet was told my case will be escalated but still haven’t heard back. Very frustrated with how the company handled this. It now will be escalated on my behalf if I don’t hear back sooner. Not only did I have a negative affect, my good friend has as well from the same exact shampoo line. Please reconsider before purchasing. My hair is something so important to me, as it is for most and I don’t want this to be you.

Prior to using it, I noticed that last summer when I pulled my hair back into a ponytail that my hair was so thin that you could see my scalp in rows. My hair became dry, brittle, and massive shedding. I thought they had just changed the packaging until I compared the ingredients with my old bottle. I had a tiny bit left in the old bottle so I had one more day of great hair. Now I have to find another shampoo.

Over the past two years it has thinned and it lost its body and turned oily, stringy and flat with lots of shedding. After trying lots of other shampoos I decided to try Everstrong. The shampoo makes a very thick rich lather, but rinses easily, and the conditioner does take a minute to rinse out. But, after just a couple of days of use, my hair looks fuller, with body, but without the cotton candy feel that other body boosting products created. My waves are coming back, and it's not flat any more. Sometimes I can get a day between shampoos.

After the product disappeared from the market, I switched to a competitor’s product. Recently, I have become dissatisfied with the shampoo and conditioner I have been using for my fine hair, so I decided to peruse the hair care products on the L’Oréal website. Upon completing my perusal, I went to the nearest store to look at the hair care products. In the end, I selected L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Shampoo. L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Shampoo contains rosemary leaf, jasmine, and juniper berry to gently clean the scalp by removing build-up and excess oil, so your hair is stronger and thicker looking. The shampoo is free of harsh sulfates, salts, or surfactants. When using the shampoo keep in mind a little goes a long way. The lather is rich and luxurious with a pleasant mild scent. After shampooing, I recommend following up with the L’Oréal Ever Strong Thickening Conditioner.

Due to stress, my hair started to thin and fall too. During the first 2 weeks of using this shampoo, I have noticed that my hair felt thicker amazing, However, after 2 weeks, my hair reverted back to its normal condition (kinda). Would not say that it is an excellent product because my hair is still thin and was hoping to at least improve my hair fall as there seems to be rosemary included in this product. The thickening shampoo, well, thickens over time to the point that after a few shampoos there is buildup in the opening which means from 3/4 full to empty you're straining your hands to squeeze enough out to wash your hair. I've tried other formulas of the EverPure products and they don't have this issue with the packaging. Please consider a larger opening for ease of use.

I have tried other versions from L’Oréal’s Ever line of products but these consistently give me the best results: thicker, shinier, healthier feeling hair with weight but no weigh down, and leaves all of my scalp and hair feeling clean and balanced. I have med-long length fine hair but enough of it, and other products even from this line leave me with dryer ends and an oilier base. I love the smell of this one too because it’s extra herby/botanical compared to the others. Please don’t change a thing, and please please--never discontinue!!

Sulfate-free, makes my hair manageable, affordable and smell great! I'm not a fan off musky or floral, heavy scents for hair care. We tried it for a full week but it just doesn't work for my wife and I. We have a metal mesh strainer that we keep in the shower drain to keep hair and other things from going into the plumbing. After rinsing off these products there was a blob of gelatinous goo that plugged up the strainer so that water started filling the tub. This happened each time we used it. I bought a different shampoo and conditioner and, like the other products we've used before, there was no residue. My hair did feel soft but not necessarily thicker after using it. But, because of the stuff clogging up the strainer, we had to stop using it.

I use the shampoo and conditioner and both smell amazingly minty and fresh. I love the way it slightly tingles my scalp while lathering, too! Although, many may not like the sensation, I did not find the feeling unpleasant at all. In fact, I find it to be very relaxing. As far as any noticeable changes in hair texture, strength, or thickness, I really didn't see an excitable differences. However, I really do like the way this particular shampoo and conditioner smells and feels so I'm happy regardless. I will definitely purchase again and have recommended it to several others to try as well.

I used to use the volume line but that was making my hair too frizzy so I switched to the thickening and it works better for my hair. It helps to keep my hair color from fading because it's sulfate-free. Plus, it works great on thickening my hair along the hairline.

Both containers need to stand on their tops. Unfortunately the tops will not close tight no matter how hard I try to get them to close. Because of this the product leaks. I can only assume the packaging was not tested. I would not recommend to a friend.

I waited to use it because I had some other shampoo I was trying to use up first so didn't use it until today. The smell overpowered me-- it was awful. I guess I shouldn't have been surprised since "fragrance" is listed pretty high in the ingredient list, but... wow! My hair is pretty frizzy after washing, too-- more so than usual. I'm not going to use it again.

I just recently graduated from college, and I realized how much damage the constant stress inflicted on my hair. Lots of strands were breaking or falling out, it was thinning at the temples and in the back, and my styling products weren't working as well. After some research, I bought it and noticed an immediate difference after the first wash. My scalp felt super clean. It wasn't irritated anymore. My hair strands felt thicker, and my styling products worked even better than they used to. Fast forward several weeks, my hair is much thicker and more manageable. My part isn't as visible. The thinning has completely halted, and my hair is growing back at the temples and in the back. This product has done wonders, and I'll keep using it as part of my haircare routine.

I tried this when it was on sale and i am so glad i did. i use other loreal paris products but this is my new go to! it cleans my hair without drying and leaves it soft and shiny and the smell is wonderful. and the conditioner doesn't weigh it down or leave it greasy feeling.

I bought it because my hair was very thin and I was noticing a lot of strands falling out when I was styling it. After using it, my hair seems thicker and fuller but, I still get some fall out when I style it. One thing I'm really unhappy about is the cap on the bottles for the shampoo and conditioner. They never snap fully closed.

I a 34yrs old and have been having a problem with my hair falling out to point I had (key word had) a bald spot about the size of a half dollar! Did blood work and spoke with my Dr about it and have determined the cause to just be genetic. Bummer. So I thought I would give this shampoo a try. I am so glad I did. Not know did my hair start to become more thick, my hair has started to grow back!!! I can't believe it! I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for about 3 months (it lasts too!) and have about 3 inches length already! The bald spot was there for about 2yrs so I don't think it's a coincidence, I believe this product works and very well!

In the shower, I use EverStrong hair thickening shampoo and finish with EverCurl cleansing balm. My hair is left feeling soft and detangled, but hasn't gotten any thicker.

I love that it is a sulfate free product. I have had a lot of health problems and my hair was falling out in clumps. I noticed a difference immediately. I now have normal fallout and my baby fine hair is thicker and feels and smells absolutely amazing! I have no problem at all closing the covers. However, I do understand what some people are experiencing or might have experienced. My advice is close the cap as you normally would then push directly in the center of the cap and it will click closed. Please don't give up on purchasing this wonderful product because of the caps because they will close and you are definitely worth it!!!

I went looking for a shampoo for my thin hair that did not smell like food. My shampoo and conditioner lasted a long time. When I searched for this shampoo recently I could only find this new version. There is essential no fragrance or at least very weak. Can you tweek this new version to go back to the lovely strong fragrance of the original. Please!!

I want to continue buying the Ever Strong shampoo but unfortunately not being able to recycle the container is a breaking point for me. PLEASE put the Ever Strong shampoos in plant based or recycled plastic containers that can be recycled so I can continue buying the shampoo. I would recommend this product to a friend if it were in a container that can be recycled.
