And while award season tends to provide unique, out-of-the-box beauty look inspiration, there are certain looks you can bank on seeing, either due to being completely classic, or because they’re trending at the moment. Below, we’re placing our bets on seven beauty looks we expect to see on the red carpet during award season, as well as how to recreate them for yourself!

Step #1: Prime your eyes
Before applying any eye shadow, make sure you prime your eyes to ensure your eye makeup lasts all night long!
Step #2: Grab your shadow
Now that your eyes are prepped and ready for eye shadow, take a light gray shade and pack it onto your lid using a flat eye shadow brush. Then, apply a dark gray shade into your crease. Deepen your crease and amp up the drama by popping a black shade onto the outer “V” of your crease. Make sure to blend these colors well using a fluffy eye shadow brush. Complete your eye shadow by applying a white shade to your inner corner to brighten your eyes.
Step #3: Line your eyes

Start by applying hair gel to your roots and slicking your hair towards the back of your head. Make sure to keep things bump-free.
Step #2: Create your bun
Once you’ve slicked your hair back, tie it into a low bun using a hair elastic. You can use bobby pins to secure any stray strands, but the bun can be as perfect or as messy as you want!

Another popular hairstyle we’re betting money on is side-swept waves. This tried and true hairstyle is super easy to recreate, all the while giving you a classy, elegant beauty look.

Step #1: Protect your locks
Before we get to curling, make sure to spray your mane with a heat protectant to prevent heat damage.
Step #2: Curl your mane
Use a wide barrel curling to create large waves throughout your hair. Then, lightly comb through your curls with a wide tooth comb to loosen them up.
Step #3: Sweep it to the side
Bring your hair to one side. On the side opposite all of your hair, bobby pin the hair flat against your head. This will keep your mane in a side-swept position.
Step #4: Seal in your style
Finish your hairstyle by spritzing with hairspray to keep your strands in place throughout the night!
