Amazing results

To preface- I have really easy to manage hair (straight/black/thick). I pair the serum with leave in conditioner with argon oil infused with it. This product has really added so much shine and vibrancy to my hair. It took a while for me to see the results about a month of consistent use, hence 4 stars. Another aspect I noticed is my hair holds more moisture than before integrating it with my hair care. I know glycolic acid helps with moisture absorption but I wasn’t expecting such amazing results. Truly the most bang for your buck and I will be repurchasing this serum.

Waste of Money. No Shine. Stiff Hair.

My hair is color processed, wavy, thick, and long. I've used biosilk for years, still my fave but ran out and wanted to try this for the shine. Not only did it fail the shine test, by leaving my hair dull, but it made my hair stiffer. I have to wash it off just to comb it. It leaves a glue-like stiff feel to my hair. No shine. Such a waste of money. I got this at Target and want a refund, it's so bad. The smell is nice. That's the 1 star. Never again. I get more shine from biosilk or plain coconut oil. I will be doing a review on my YouTube channel; Mouthy Fox.I'd love to give L'Oreal another chance here. Do you have another shine gloss product I can try or exchange this bottle for?

Too heavy for fine hair

This product smells great but was too heavy for my fine/thin hair. It just made it look really oily. I did however give it to a friend with thicker curly hair to try before styling and she really enjoyed it

Wow is all I can say when I use this product. It has a lightweight serum like texture and does not make hair look or feel greasy. Upon applying to the hair, it makes hair look so incredibly shiny. On top of the shine, it makes your hair feel so smooth.

Great on wavy hair!

From this line, I definitely liked this hair serum the best! The smell is great, it really does tame my frizzy, and it’s not heavy so it doesn’t weigh down my waves. I like that it comes in a pump bottle as well; easy to use! It has a nice smooth texture too that makes it glide really well/applies smoothly.

Unfortunately, it also makes my hair get greasy/oily a lot faster. I find that I have to wash my hair daily rather than every other day or every third day like I normally would. I have very thick hair that goes past my shoulders and used as little as one pump, so I don’t think that it’s user error. I’ve tried it several different ways. I’ve used it on wet hair, dry hair, heat styled hair, and air dried hair. It smooths my hair nicely, regardless of which method I use, so as long as I don’t mind washing my hair a little bit more often, this makes my hair look really nice. This review is incentivized. I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion.

Love the pink packaging of the Glycolic Gloss Leave-in Serum. The scent is pleasant and subtle, lingering just enough after application. My hair is long, fine, and untreated, and my scalp tends toward dry. The serum has a clear, lightweight texture that spread easily and absorbed well. After using the full 4-step Glycolic Gloss routine, my hair felt clean and hydrated.

After using it for a month (with 2 uses per week,) I can’t say I noticed a significant difference in my hair’s shininess. (I used it with the Elvive Conditioner and Shampoo.) Pros: the serum was my favorite product out of the three from this Glycolic and Gloss collection. I feel like if any one product out of the group was helping improve my hair’s dullness, it was the serum. Also, I think the serum, along with the conditioner, had some improvement on my split ends. Like with the shampoo and conditioner, the serum does have a strong perfume-y sent, but I found it more tolerable in the serum. There’s a sunburn warning on the bottle due to the AHA in the products. It suggests “limiting sun exposure while using this product.” Good to have the warning, but for me, in the summertime, it made me hesitant to use it on days where I knew I’d be outside a lot. Too much hassle from that perspective. In the winter though, I wouldn’t think twice. Overall, not a bad product, but not for me. I’ll finish the bottles, and see if there’s any improvement to my hair’s dullness, but I won’t repurchase.

It didn’t leave any residue or anything like that but it felt like it weighed my hair down a bit. Would recommend for thicker hair types as my daughter tried it and no weigh down at all.

I’ve noticed a huge difference in the shine of my hair (which is hard to do with blonde hair) my hair feels smooth and easy to brush. I’ve used this when my hair was damp and when i was dry. It does not seem to weigh down my hair and doesn’t make my hair feel greasy which is amazing for my fine hair

I tried it on dry hair and damp hair prior to blowing it out. In my opinion it works much better on wet hair. I used a very tiny amount on my freshly blown out hair and it almost made is feel more dry and brittle and did little to add shine.

It’s extremely light weight & so it seems difficult to go overboard with it. I have fine, wavy hair that’s prone to frizz and this has done wonders for it. I have a ton of hair oils and serums and this is the one I’ve been reaching for everyday. I highly recommended!

I’ve been bleaching my hair for 15 years and I also use head on it too using hair tools which causes damage in addition to the bleach. This stuff has repaired my hair beyond belief. After using the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in treatment my hair felt very soft and smooth. I’m unsure if it made my hair more shiny though. Overall a good product!

I normally don’t like leave-in products because they weigh down my hair and make it feel like there’s a layer of grime on it, but this was different. My hair is super soft and less frizzy than normal after using this. It also smells amazing! The only thing I’d say is that it did weigh down my natural curls a bit, where normally I’d just air dry my hair and have nicer looking curls, but this isn’t necessarily targeted to my hair type so I can’t hold it against it too much for that.

If you’re only going to try one product from the range—make it this one. First of all, it’s super lightweight. I was nervous it would make my hair greasy or heavy, especially since it’s a serum, but it absorbs instantly and feels almost like a mix between a gloss and a lightweight styling cream. I apply a pump or two to damp hair, mid-length to ends, and blow-dry—or even air-dry—and my hair just looks better. Smoother, shinier, and like I actually put effort into it (even when I didn’t). It really helps with frizz and gives that “glass hair” look without feeling coated or sticky. Plus, it layers well with other products—doesn’t cause buildup or dullness. The scent is light and clean, just like the rest of the line.
