July 04, 2022

Even if you live somewhere warm, you know when summer has finally arrived across the country because your timeline gets flooded with rooftop party posts, Italian vacation pictures, and the most fun of all — highlights from music festivals.

This year, our favorite festivals have finally made an in-person return, which means you’ll want to look your best if you’re hitting the festival circuit throughout the season. You may find that you  need some festival makeup inspiration if you want to switch up your look for each one that you go to. So we’ve found some unique festival makeup ideas to help you out. Check out three makeup looks that will easily help you stand out in the crowd at  your next music festival.

Flower Makeup

Wearing a flower crown to a music festival might feel very 2014, but that doesn’t mean you can’t rock a floral look. We love adding art to an eye makeup look, and bright, intricate flowers are the perfect way to do that. It still screams festival, but in a unique way.

Get the look:

Step 1. Since the eye is so dramatic, using a subtle, monochromatic shade for the cheeks and the lips is the best way to complete your makeup look. Dot the L’Oréal Paris Glow Paradise Lip and Cheek Tint in the shade Madame Pink in a half moon across your cheeks to add some

warmth to your complexion. We love this product because it’s a multi-use product in a little tube.

Step 2. Blend the product in with your fingers, adding more until you get your desired color.

Step 3. Apply to your lips straight from the tube, blending in with your fingers.

Apricot Glaze

We always think colorful when it comes to festival makeup, so picking a bright color — like summery apricot — as the basis of your entire look works if you want to do something simple but vibrant.

Get the look:

Step 1. Start with a bright orange blush, like the L’Oréal Paris Age Perfect Radiant Satin Blush with Camellia Oil in the shade Marigold. Sweep on the cheeks with a blush brush where the light naturally hits your face.

Step 2. Choose a more cool-toned apricot for the eyes and lips — you can use the L’Oréal Paris Glow Paradise Lip Balm-in-Gloss Pomegranate Extract in the shade Angelic Daydream for a peachy pout.

Step 3. Finish the look off with a glazed donut highlight, using the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops in the shade Golden Hour. Shake the product well and apply one drop above the cheekbones, blending with your fingers or a makeup blender.

Dramatic Two-Toned Eye

If you love styling your eyeliner in unique ways, this look is for you. Two-line eyeliner has been super trendy lately, and adding a pop of color can help accentuate the style.

Get the look:

Step 1. Apply a bright yellow eyeshadow shade, like the L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Eternal Sunshine, all over the lid. Then grab the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof, Up to 24HR Pencil Eyeliner in the shade Bronze — we love its creamy smudge-proof color for an alternative to black eyeliner.

Step 2. Apply the liner in two parallel winged lines, one as close as possible to the lash line and one on the top of the lid — following the natural curvature of your eye.

Step 3. Finish up with a macara to make your lashes pop, like the L’Oréal Paris Air Volume Mega Mascara Waterproof, Lightweight. This mascara has an air whipped formula, so it won’t feel heavy on your eyes.
