Creative Looks With Colored Eyeliner

Thick or thin, winged or straight, everyone has their preference when it comes to eyeliner.  Depending on your eye shape, how you line your eyes can drastically change how they look, from lifting them to making your eyes look bigger. And with all the cool new eyeliner colors that we now have to play with, it’s very exciting to explore beyond your basic black.

From reds and greens to dark browns and gray, there’s a shade suitable for any look you’re trying to pull off. So grab a handful of colorful eyeliners and check out these 20 creative colored eyeliner looks below that you can try for an electric makeup look.

1. Orange Eyeliner

The bright and bold color is a striking way to upgrade your usual eyeliner look. To start, use the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Grip Mechanical Gel Eyeliner in Intense Black to create a wing, then trace that wing with an orange eyeliner or an eyeshadow that can be used as eyeliner, like the L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Iced Latte. For an even more electric look, make a second wing above your crease by tracing the shape of your eye, then flicking it out at the end.

2. White Eyeliner

A pink and white eye makeup idea is perfect for anytime you want a sweet look. Grab the L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Always Pearly Pink and apply it on your lids, then take the L'Oréal Paris Infallible Never Fail Eyeliner in White and draw a line starting from your inner corner to above your crease, then connect it to your outer corner.

3. Bronze Eyeliner

Bronze eyes are subtle, yet eye-catching. Create a winged eyeliner look with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof, Up to 24HR Pencil Eyeliner in Bronze, then use the same shade to lightly line your bottom lids.

4. Brown Eyeliner

This colored eyeliner look uses a brown liner for an effect that’s still dramatic but a bit softer than black eyeliner. Use the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Grip Mechanical Gel Eyeliner in Brown Denim to make a wing, before also applying it on your lower lash line.

5. Gray Eyeliner

This shimmery look is a great way to try out a liner look for colored eyeliner newbies. After sweeping the L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow in Silver Sky across your eyelid, apply your winged eyeliner with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Grip Mechanical Gel Eyeliner in Taupe Grey.
