Her voluminous look was award-worthy.
April 05, 2022Your favorite musical artists had their eyes on the prize at this year’s Grammy Awards — but our eyes were fixated on their fashion choices, hairstyles and makeup looks.
It’s no surprise that L’Oréal Paris ambassador and nominee in eight different categories, H.E.R., captured our attention when she stepped onto the red carpet. She looked radiant adorned in a glittery jumpsuit, her signature sunnies and of course, voluminous curls. And the best part is, you can copy her beautiful hairstyle right at home because we’re breaking down all the products her stylist used to achieve the look below.
If you’re familiar with H.E.R., then you’re no stranger to seeing her sport ultra-voluminous curls. This hairstyle and a fresh pair of shades have become somewhat of a trademark look for her, and we couldn’t love it more.
This time, the curls were inspired by musical divas of the past. The look was serving major ‘70s vibes thanks to a whole lot of bounce and a playful fluffy texture.
“Today’s Grammy look was inspired by the beautiful Cher,” says Nina Monique, the hairstylist behind the look. “I went for a retro '70s look, a play on the bouncy curls and voluminous fluffy hair of the decade.”
H.E.R. washed her hair using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Curls No Build-Up Curls Micellar Shampoo with hyaluronic acid and castor oil for bouncy, hydrated curls.
Be sure to follow up with the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Curls Moisture Seal Conditioner for extra hydration and smoothness.
Monique prepped H.E.R.’s hair by mixing the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Frizz Killer Serum Leave-In and the L’Oréal Paris EverPure Sulfate-Free Weightless Blow Dry Primer, Heat Protectant and working it through her hair for heat protection, frizz reduction and added shine.
Grab your curling wand and duck bills clips and begin creating your big curls, two inches at a time, throughout your mane.
Once your curls are created, use the L’Oréal Paris Magic Root Precision Pen to fill any sparse areas in the hairline and around your baby hairs.
Lastly, spray the L’Oréal Paris Satin Extra Strong Hold, Light Hairspray Unscented all over to keep the look in place and ensure it lasted throughout the night.
