Application

Easy to use, smells good

I have been using self-tanners for over 20 years. I am very fair, can't hold a natural tan even if I worked at it and don't want the damage that comes with a natural tan. I've used EVERYTHING out there. Sublime Bronze is my go-to that I always keep in my bathroom cabinet for the following reasons: (1) it's really easy to use - I can reach everywhere with this spray, it dries quickly and doesn't discolor anything. (2) It has a pleasant, light citrus fragrance - many have that self-tanner odor even if they claim they don't and you can still smell it after you shower. I can spray this on and go about my day with a nice light fragrance. (3) It gives a consistent color that passes for a tan that looks pretty natural - Note: I don't layer applications of Sublime Bronze because the color looks less natural with more applied.

Tan or rare skin disease?

Horrible. Used this the day before I had an event to attend and it says right on the can and it takes two to three hours to fully develop. I waited about 5 hours and nothing is happening so I sprayed more. The next day I woke up and was so discolored all over and my hands looked absolutely horrible. I was so embarrassed that I had to cancel the event I was supposed to attend

Dissapointed

First time user- I followed the instructions on the bronzer having my spouse spray slow even strokes avoiding knees and ankles. I allowed the product time to develope and found the next morning it had in fact developed but in patchy tan areas. After spending $11.97 I’ll be tossing this product into the trash. I spoke with a professional that said if I were going to use a self tanner by L’Oréal I should have purchased the mousse her recommendation. My bad for not checking with her before my purchase

RIP OFF

I've been using Loreal sublime "deep" self tanning mist now for almost 10 years and have loved it. Over about the last year I have FINALLY come to my senses and realized it wasn't just in my mind, and stopped the vicious cycle of the "definition of insanity." It is VERY obvious that Loreal has gotten on the bandwagon of "lets give them less and charge more"....That being said you've changed the formula of the sublime bronze - deep, and you know it. It barely has the same results as the medium. I don't know who I need to go to, to report this. I've told everyone I know about it and will continue to do so! This "new look same formula" is a total lie in my opinion, and I've used this long enough to form my confirmed belief....It was ridiculously expensive to begin with, but one of my personal luxuries..why do you people just leave things they were? OH...WAIT A MINUTE...let's give them less and charge them more....chacching! Disgusting.

I absolutely LOVE this spray! It is so much easier to apply and it doesn’t streak as much as other products that I have tried. As with any tanning product you need to smooth it evenly over the skin but the results are a very natural tan color.

Can't see color until it dries which is too late

Very disappointed in the way this product is applied. I was sure I was thorough in covering all surfaces of my legs but they turned out splotchy and embarrasing looking. Spray is clear and hard to see if it has covered all surfaces of legs.

the worst product I have ever bought

I have always been afraid to try self tanner so when I saw this at target I figured I would try it out because it’s not a mousse that would make me look too dark. I followed the directions completely and ended up looking like this. the smell is awful and lingers. it also made me feel greasy after which I hate. somehow the front of my legs are the only part of them that darkened even though i sprayed the whole leg. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

Great at first, now not so much

I first bought this product about two years ago and I was In love with it. It if was just as good I would give it 10 stars but since the end of 2021, I want to see the bottles have came defective. The bottle shoots out a mist but then it spits a lot of product at once leaving a patchy and uneven tan. I already purchased a few bottles and it still the same problem I will not be buying this once more.

Used this for Years, Still my Fav!

I am writing this for Free- no gifts. I consider myself a tanning pro (in salon & out). I am confused by all these reviews of people having streaky results- and I am guessing it might be because they are spraying Too Closely to their skin or trying to rub it in afterwards. Following directions, and being conservative, leads to no drips or streaks. I shower/shave/exfoliate, then dry off, face lotion then spray mist lightly all over, evenly. Wear dark clothes after drying and then shower about 8hrs later. Voila-! I'm tan (not orange) for almost a week after that. If I reapply, it stays longer. This is the Least expensive and Highest quality option, said the tan-a-holic. There is no self-tanner that is "scent-free" because the smell develops as the color develops-- that's how it reacts with your skin cells and creates color.

Beauty MUST HAVE!!!

I was recently on vacation in North Carolina. Traveling from Indiana we have hit our colder season and with quarantine was looking a little pasty. I was at their local Walmart and decided to pick it up and try it. I’ve tried so many self tanners and only one I’ve ever LOVED this much is fake bake....but I hate the mess. This did not get the bathroom messy at the hotel and it dried super super fast. In about 3-4 hours I could see my results. I had an amazing STREAK FREE tan!! Only applied once and it’s still looking amazing a week later!! I did wear gloves so that it did not make my hands orange and I’ve had no problems!!

I am really confused about all these terrible reviews. I have been using this self tanner for years and i love it. It looks very natural on my fair skin and almost never comes out blotchy and uneven. Maybe the other reviews are using it wrong? I will stand in my shower and have my husband spray me. It takes about two minutes, looks like a professional spray tan for half the cost and I didn't even have to leave my house! Please do not discontinue this!

Immediate results are somewhat noticeable, but it's very easy to miss spots, even when you think you've got them all. I don't fault the product for that. I fault the product for the incredible amount of streaking! Before applying I always exfoliate my legs, wash them, and apply a light, unscented lotion to dry areas. I apply lightly about two feet from the surface of my skin. I've let this dry anywhere from thirty minutes, to four hours with no clothing interference, no water, no sweat. Just sitting in my room with my legs dangling. The moment you start to sweat it's aaaallll over. Not worth the time, the effort, or the money. I have tried this for days with the exact same results regardless of what i try differently. I've tried without exfoliating, just washing. I've tried without lotion. I've tried hairdrying my legs. All in the hopes that this would look, if not perfect, at least okay. Nothing doing. As a result, don't my legs look absolutely gorgeous and tanned! Not like someone splattered greasy tomato sauce on me at all. Just beautiful.

Have always loved tanning, but went to using self tanners, tried the Lireal sublime bronze mist, was horrible. Moisturized and spread mist on evenly, let dry and dressed. If you get outside and sweat you end up streaking up. Looked terrible.

I’m pregnant and wanted to do a self tan and stay away from the tanning beds. I tried this product more than once and both times it came out blotchy and uneven. Following directions all the way through and even letting it dry for an hour and it still came out terrible. Very embarrassed to wear my legs out now!

Streakiest tan ever

I’m a very experienced tanner. I exfoliate, shave, and prep my skin. I know how to make the most out of a tanner. But I just cannot get this stuff to work. I love the idea of it because it is SO easy to put on. I just simply cannot get it to look good. Works so well on my face, hands, and feet, but on larger areas it is SO streaky. Looks very fake and unnatural. I wish I could get this to work because the application is so easy and fast!

I have been trying to find "Medium Natural Tan" everywhere! All websites (ie Amazaon, etc.) advertise it as the old formula (Medium Natural Tan) but when I receive it, its the Medium that is now sold everywhere. There is a total difference in the product. Literally the WORST tanner I have ever used. Its beyond streaky and extremely orange looking. I applied a light mist from a good distance , slept on it and woke up in absolute horror. Was so embarrassed to go to work the next day. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician with experience with fake tanners.

Horrible product

I would give this product zero stars if I could. The application process is not an easy process at all. I love the color, but the application is always splotchy and uneven no matter how long I take the time to make sure I get every spot on my body. I literally look like a cow because of how uneven it applied on my body.

Best Home Spray Tan

I love the dark color. I typically go to a tanning salon for spray tans during the year, but when I am on vacation what to do???? This stuff fills in perfectly. When my spray tan wears off, I just pop out a bottle of this and I'm back in business. It has a nice even spray, sprays upside down, and produces nice color that is not orange. Love it!

Easy to use self tanning product!

I got this product from Influenster complimentary for testing purposes and I am so thankful for it! This product is easy to use! It covers large areas and didn't leave any streaks. I made sure to moisturize my hands and feet well too so there wouldn't be any streaks and there wasn't! It last for a good amount of time and is worth the price so I will buy again!

So easy and the perfect mist

I received this product complimentary for testing and reviewing purposes. This self-tanning mist was so easy to use and spray around my body. It felt even and lightweight. The mist spreads evenly and is very light and soft - no large drop, only a mist. It dries fairly quickly also.

Perfect tan

I like this compared to other drug store tanners because it has a much more pleasant smell and dries quickly. I do not use it as an "airbrush" tan, but instead spray it on and then rub it in evenly. I use it all over, even on my face with this method with have had no problems. I do not see how anyone would use it as a airbrush and get an even coat, but it is much nicer than most of the lotions because it dries and no sticky feeling - can get dressed within minutes.

I loved this product. I received it complimentary from Influenster to try and I’m so glad I got it! I have such pale skin and I’ve always wanted to be darker. Every other self tanner I’ve tried looks so unrealistic or smears everywhere. This one looks like I finally learned how to tan and didn’t rub off on anything! Definitely recommend it!

I received this free in an Influenster VoxBox and I’m so glad I got to try it out. It was a little too dark for my fair skin, and applied a little streaky. Also one bottle doesn’t last long at all. Maybe 2 full body applications. I think I would prefer the lotion instead.

When did you change the nozzle? The old product sprayed a very fine mist. It was perfect. The new one sprays out random huge globs of product onto my skin while spraying. Please bring back the old design!

Have you changed the spray bit of your tanning spray. I used to buy one which I loved but can't find it now I think L'Oreal but it was just a normal type spray product. It has to be a spray. I don't like the products with foam that you have to rub on.

I allowed the product time to develope and found the next morning it had in fact developed but in patchy tan areas. After spending $11.97 I’ll be tossing this product into the trash. I spoke with a professional that said if I were going to use a self tanner by L’Oréal I should have purchased the mousse her recommendation. My bad for not checking with her before my purchase

Over about the last year I have FINALLY come to my senses and realized it wasn't just in my mind, and stopped the vicious cycle of the "definition of insanity." It is VERY obvious that Loreal has gotten on the bandwagon of "lets give them less and charge more"....That being said you've changed the formula of the sublime bronze - deep, and you know it. It barely has the same results as the medium. I don't know who I need to go to, to report this. I've told everyone I know about it and will continue to do so! This "new look same formula" is a total lie in my opinion, and I've used this long enough to form my confirmed belief....It was ridiculously expensive to begin with, but one of my personal luxuries..why do you people just leave things they were? OH...WAIT A MINUTE...let's give them less and charge them more....chacching! Disgusting.

I followed the directions completely and ended up looking like this. the smell is awful and lingers. it also made me feel greasy after which I hate. somehow the front of my legs are the only part of them that darkened even though i sprayed the whole leg. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN.

It if was just as good I would give it 10 stars but since the end of 2021, I want to see the bottles have came defective. The bottle shoots out a mist but then it spits a lot of product at once leaving a patchy and uneven tan. I am confused by all these reviews of people having streaky results- and I am guessing it might be because they are spraying Too Closely to their skin or trying to rub it in afterwards. Following directions, and being conservative, leads to no drips or streaks. I shower/shave/exfoliate, then dry off, face lotion then spray mist lightly all over, evenly. Wear dark clothes after drying and then shower about 8hrs later. Voila-! I'm tan (not orange) for almost a week after that. If I reapply, it stays longer. This is the Least expensive and Highest quality option, said the tan-a-holic. There is no self-tanner that is "scent-free" because the smell develops as the color develops-- that's how it reacts with your skin cells and creates color.

Traveling from Indiana we have hit our colder season and with quarantine was looking a little pasty. I was at their local Walmart and decided to pick it up and try it. I’ve tried so many self tanners and only one I’ve ever LOVED this much is fake bake....but I hate the mess. This did not get the bathroom messy at the hotel and it dried super super fast. In about 3-4 hours I could see my results. I had an amazing STREAK FREE tan!! Only applied once and it’s still looking amazing a week later!! I did wear gloves so that it did not make my hands orange and I’ve had no problems!!

I don't fault the product for that. I fault the product for the incredible amount of streaking! Before applying I always exfoliate my legs, wash them, and apply a light, unscented lotion to dry areas. I apply lightly about two feet from the surface of my skin. I've let this dry anywhere from thirty minutes, to four hours with no clothing interference, no water, no sweat. Just sitting in my room with my legs dangling. The moment you start to sweat it's aaaallll over. Not worth the time, the effort, or the money. I have tried this for days with the exact same results regardless of what i try differently. I've tried without exfoliating, just washing. I've tried without lotion. I've tried hairdrying my legs. All in the hopes that this would look, if not perfect, at least okay. Nothing doing. As a result, don't my legs look absolutely gorgeous and tanned! Not like someone splattered greasy tomato sauce on me at all. Just beautiful.

But I just cannot get this stuff to work. I love the idea of it because it is SO easy to put on. I just simply cannot get it to look good. All websites (ie Amazaon, etc.) advertise it as the old formula (Medium Natural Tan) but when I receive it, its the Medium that is now sold everywhere. There is a total difference in the product. I'm very disappointed that the product was changed/discontinued.

I applied a light mist from a good distance , slept on it and woke up in absolute horror. Was so embarrassed to go to work the next day. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician with experience with fake tanners.

I love the color, but the application is always splotchy and uneven no matter how long I take the time to make sure I get every spot on my body. I literally look like a cow because of how uneven it applied on my body.

This stuff fills in perfectly. When my spray tan wears off, I just pop out a bottle of this and I'm back in business. It has a nice even spray, sprays upside down, and produces nice color that is not orange. Love it!

This product is easy to use! It covers large areas and didn't leave any streaks. I made sure to moisturize my hands and feet well too so there wouldn't be any streaks and there wasn't! It last for a good amount of time and is worth the price so I will buy again!

This self-tanning mist was so easy to use and spray around my body. It felt even and lightweight. The mist spreads evenly and is very light and soft - no large drop, only a mist. It dries fairly quickly also.

I do not use it as an "airbrush" tan, but instead spray it on and then rub it in evenly. I use it all over, even on my face with this method with have had no problems. I do not see how anyone would use it as a airbrush and get an even coat, but it is much nicer than most of the lotions because it dries and no sticky feeling - can get dressed within minutes.

This is the first drug store brand I have ever used. It is great that it doesn’t have to be rubbed in with a mit but can just be sprayed! The color isn’t as great as the salon brand I’m used to but it actually does give you a light tan glow. The smell is not good though, it has a strong smell of latex. That’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

The first time I used it, I spelt like I had just run into a skunk. I could smell the terrible stench for about 3-4 hours after I sprayed it on. My husband said he didn’t smell anything about 2 hours after I had done it so I guess that’s a little better. I started to notice a color difference in 4-5 hours but it wasn’t a big difference so I sprayed another coat on the next day and liked that color better. The spray comes out really nice but it’s hard to tell what you’re actually spraying so I did have a couple streaky spots. I like that you don’t have to rub anything in after you spray though. For the price, it would say try it and decide for yourself if you like it. It’s a third of the price of the products I usually use so price is great. I have used this tanner 3 times and unfortunately the smell is just such a turn off for me. My tan looks good though and last for 4-6 days depending on how hard I’m scrubbing in the shower. This sprays such a fine mist that it was hard to tell where I had applied product. I definitely felt like there was a learning curve to using this. . I had a good coloring after one application. What was hard for me was getting good pics of my skin changing subtly. The top pic is no tanner and bottom is after applying every evening for 3 days. . I really like this on my arms. It was hard to use on my legs and seemed more patchy. . The scent is horrible. It is very strong and lingers. It is a very strong bitter perfume scent. It took awhile to fade from my skin. . Pros: easy to use took a week to completely fade not greasy no transfer of color to clothes!! Cons: scent is strong hard to see where I applied Turned my skin orange if I applied too much or got on my knuckles! . I reveived this product free for testing purposes from Influenster. All opinions are my own.

However, I took the plunge and sprayed it before I started getting ready for a night out. It honestly looked so natural, and I didn’t look orange! I did spray it outside so I would be curious to know if it leaves color on surfaces or leaves the surfaces slippery. From the results, it went on evenly and there were know dark marks! I did exfoliate before use, so I recommend that! In all I would definitely buy this for myself! *i received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.*

Rated 4 out of 5 by The Magical Wife from Good option for safe tanning This sunless tanner is really easy to use. The application is not messy at all, like most lotion counterparts. The color looks very realistic for a sunless tanner and lasted for about a week without significantly fading. It did have a slight smell, as all sunless tanners do, but it was not terribly noticeable. I have sensitive skin so my skin did get itchy from using this, but the reaction was not as bad as when using other tanners. Overall, a great option for obtaining a safe tan! I received this product for free or complimentary for testing purposes, but will probably end up buying more to use for months to come.

It seems that rubbing it in makes it look blotchy and it specifically says not to. I think it’ll work in a pinch if you just need some tan legs for a dress you’re wearing but it’s not my go to, however I do enjoy having it on hand.

Have you changed the spray bit of your tanning spray. I used to buy one which I loved but can't find it now I think L'Oreal but it was just a normal type spray product. It has to be a spray. I don't like the products with foam that you have to rub on.
