As someone with terrible acne this is a true full coverage foundation. I get so many compliments on my make up “it’s like your face has a filter on it” 100 % recommend this to anyone has red marks discoloration or acne!

Very good
If you like NARS soft matte, you’ll love this. You do have to properly prep with it. The only thing that I don’t like is that there is no clear numbering with undertone, so you have to go in blindly and HOPE that the undertone sets the way you want

Bring back the old formula.. the new one is awful
Please bring back the old formula (when it was Demi matte with a black cap). This new current formula is awful. It really emphasizes pores and fine lines and creates/ emphasizes dry patches. It also wears off in some spots throughout the day and the shade I’ve been using for years is starting to make me look orange and changed throughout the day. It’s so disappointing that a great product I was loyal to has become one of the worst I’ve used. I would rather have the price go up with inflation than the quality go down.

Old formula was the best
I have used Infalliable pro-matte for years and loved it, until now. The new formula makes your face look cakey and doesn’t have the same finish as the old one. I couldn’t even wear it out, it looked so bad. The old formula looked amazing in pictures every time! Please bring back the old formula.

The best everything proof foundation.
L'Oreal Paris infallible pro-matte foundation is by far the best foundation I have ever used! It's incredibly waterproof, smudgeproof, transferproof sweatproof. Gose on the skin a creamy liquid. Drys into a air light matte powder. Perfect for carrying in your purse. Covering blemishes all day and night. Easy to layer without looking cakey. Enough color options to include my color that most foundations don't come in. I could not be more impressed and happy with this foundation.

Pro-matte formula is a definite downgrade
This product used to be GREAT when it was offered as a demi-matte product. Perfect for most skin types. But the pro-matte product is cakey and drying on sensitive skin. I switched to the pro-glow version of this product but have noticed recently that available in many retail stores now.

Trust me when I say, I have bought & tried a billion different foundations. This one however is THE BEST for me and my skin. This foundation will indeed last 24 hours. I can touch my face and nothing on my hands. so it stays put. it covers well and isn't heavy. you only need a small amount when applying. this is a buildable foundation, in case you need it. Golden Beige 104 is my shade. I tend to be a little more fairer in the winter so I will go a little lighter shade. I am not happy the price increased so much.

One of my 2 Go-To Foundations
I've had to experiment with about six shades, but I found my perfect color. I am 62, have large pores, small aging spots; this foundation is perfect for full-coverage, yet never feels heavy. I apply a few small dabs on my foundation brush, dab the brush in several areas, then keep dabbing and gently brushing it to blend to perfection.

New formula doesn't deserve one star
The original formula was AMAZING!! You would think after countless negative reviews the company would listen and bring it back. I guess they don't value our feedback. The new formula is horrible and does nothing compared to the black cap original. I'm giving up on the brand all together that's how disappointing it is to lose a staple in my makeup routine...

Cakey and doesn’t blend well.
I wanted to like this but man, it’s cakey. It doesn’t blend well at all. I tried with and without primer. I have oily skin so I thought the matte would be good. I’m 49, have a few fine lines and this makeup settled into every fine line and pore I had. My skin actually looked better before I put this makeup on. It stays on ok though. But definitely too cakey and heavy looking.

Use it with the right primer and you're golden
I used to be a fan of this before I discovered primer. I hadn't worn makeup in 4 years, but due to job changes I wear it every day because I have post-inflammatory pigmentation, and I have to go heavy on the concealer and foundation. As much as I love this particular foundation, today I quickly learned that it is to be paired with more of a thicker primer, not one that is so sticky. It didn't blend at all and I had to use more concealer and a different foundation. I only will wear this on my no-makeup-makeup look days because its full coverage enough to cover my acne scars, and to use my favorite highlighter and bronzer. Other than that, it's too dry looking for me for an all day wear. I'm just not as much of a fan as I used to be, but on my no-makeup-makeup days I will wear it with a primer that works with this type of foundation.

Look no further for a true matte foundation!
This is a great product for dry skin, or if you want a true matte finish. But, honestly, you don't need much powder after using it because it dries very matte, but it is full coverage and doesn't separate, especially if you use a great primer and setting spray. That is the only drawback for me, although I love this foundation I can't wear it every day because I wear true full coverage, and I use highlighters and contours with different foundations, and vice versa. So for me, since I like to look more hydrated, I don't use it every day. I use it mainly on the days I don't want to get down and dirty for 2 hours doing my makeup. I just make sure I use foundations in the same line so I can do a little highlight and contour, and a tiny bit of highlighter powder. All in all it's a great foundation, I just don't use it every day, I use the Pro-Glow on the other days I wear foundation.

Incredible foundation
This foundation is just wonderful! It's like a liquid powder foundation; but better in the sense that I am able to personalize the color and finish with liquid highlighters. I can make it as matte, soft matte to natural finish according to my needs while not compromising wear time and oil control. I plan on buying more shades for each season!

Light Beige is really orange
I bought this product in a Light Beige tone, which is what I usually wear in other foundations. I put it on for the first time and it is completely orange-tinted! I will never wear it, or buy any other Loreal make up if they can't describe their skin-tones accurately. I'm completely dissatisfied with this waste of money.

Used to be my holy grail
I’ve been using infallible pro-matte for years! It had great coverage, blended well and kept my oily skin in control. Now it’s the complete opposite with the new formula. It goes on patchy, makes me super oily after just a few hours, and definitely isn’t longwear as it seems to just melt off my face. I’m super disappointed that after using this foundation for years I now have to find something new. L’Oréal, please bring back the old formula!

The Red Cap is Awful
I have been using color 110 and flawless with no complaints. I have ordered from several sites recently that advertise demi matte but send the nasty, thick, flat full matte which is the red top. It is horrible. Bring the original demi matte with black cap back. NO ONE WANTS DRY CAKE ON FACE!!

Why change a good thing? The red top formula is HORRIBLE. It's thick and cakey. Colors are not the same. BRING BACK THE BLACK TOP FORMULA....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I'm saving a tube with the black top for my daughter's wedding in November. Trying to buy some on ebay.

WHY DID YOU CHANGE THE FORMULA. Literally 99% of the reviews agree that the old formula was perfect. This used to be my holy grail foundation. Now I’m so annoyed and inconvenienced trying different foundations all over again. What a horrible site for a make-up company
I went to search for a foundation with neutral undertones and this site is absolutely horrible. There is so little information of the color and undertones it's a joke. This website needs some major love. I can't believe this is a site from a reputable company that specialize in makeup. What joke.

NEW formula is HORRIBLE!
Based on reviews of the new formula, I was skeptical to try it. I was still able to get my hands on the old formula in certain stores until last month. The new formula is thicker and not blendable at all. Also, the shade 104 is not the same and has a more cool undertone. Finally, the new formula breaks me out where as the old one didnt. PLS BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!!!

Red cap formula is awful
I had been wearing this foundation for years until the formula was switched and now has a red cap. The new formula is truly the worst foundation I have every used. It is patchy, the pigment is absolutely horrible, and dries out your skin. Please bring back the old formula!!!

Go Red Cap! Go Red Cap!
I've never used the "Black" cap foundation before so I cannot speak on it, however, the "Red Cap" formula is the BOMB!! I've searched high and low for a perfect matte foundation that doesn't require a small loan just to purchase it. I've tried everything from MAC to Maybelleine and this "Red Cap" Pro Matte formula is by far the absolute BEST foundation I've EVER used in my ENTIRE 54 years on this earth.

The new Pro-Matte Foundation with the RED cap is horrible!! I've been using 102 Shell Beige for years and I have been extremely satisfied. I have bought 7 of these but no colors match
It is so frustrating that Loreal doesn't provide any hints on these shades. Are they Neutral? Cool? Warm? Level 1? 2? 2.5? In the packaging you cannot see the color. I have begun to think that this is deliberate to get customers to buy multiple shades. In the 24 Hour Infallible Fresh foundation I am Rose Vanilla but can not find one comparable in the Matte.

So so sad that the formula was changed. This used to be the best makeup ever, me and all my friends have worn it for years and wouldn’t switch. Now we’re left buying up old bottles on eBay and poshmark because we’re that desperate to not have to change to the new formula. Please bring the old demi matte back! PS if you order this from any site they will send you the new fully matte formula with the red cap

New formula awful!!
Ran out of this foundation (black cap) and bought the new one (red cap) and found it to be awful! The shade is not the same as the black cap series and new formula is awful!! Caked on my face and creases everywhere even having used a primer. Please change back to the old formula!!!!

You're original formula was EPIC!! It applied smoothly, flawlessly. I have oily skin and a pore issue. When I wore your old foundation my skin looked like porcelain!! I train horses in TEXAS
HEAT!! When I'm in a horse show, I used your foundation! (Original) and my skin never looked better!! No oily T zone, my pores looked amazing and the foundation NEVER smeared, ran NOTHING!! I've been through NUMEROUS foundations trying to find a new one and nothing compares to your original formula!! Get rid of this thick, clay formula!! Its sucks the biggest donkey balls ever!!!

The new formula is horrible!! I new the moment I would put on my makeup it was horrible and I couldn’t pinpoint as to why it wasn’t the same smooth finish I always had until I noticed the difference and it was no longer demi matte. I’m honestly disappointed that the formula has changed after years of purchasing. The formula leaves you’re face looking patchy, dry and is hard to blend with a brush or a beauty blender.

Yikes the new formula is terrible. It used to go on so smooth, with light coverage and wasn’t dewy at all. And I know you keep suggesting to everyone to wear the 24 hour fresh wear but it’s certainly not even close to the same and doesn’t have the qualities I liked in the original formula of the pro matte. Maybe listen to your customers because no one wants this new formula. This stuff used to never be in stock at the stores and now no one is touching it.

Why, L'oreal?! Why did you change the formula? This used to be the best foundation I've ever tried and I used it for years. I have oily, pigmented, textured skin and this is the only foundation I've ever used that made my skin look smooth and air brushed, while lasting alllll day and feeling lightweight. It was perfection!! I've gotten so many compliments on my skin while using it. I got the new red bottle and wow, it is way too matte, almost chalky looking. Please bring back the old formula. I'm so sad that I have to go on a hunt and spend a bunch more money trying to find a new foundation.

New Formula Disappointment
The old black cap formula was my go to affordable drugstore foundation. I was so disappointed in the new red cap formula. The shades are completely different and

I used the original, black cap formula for years. I assumed the red cap was just a packaging change but it is not. The finish is different, the colors are different, it feels heavy and looks cakey. Very disappointed. I have now been through three different attempts at finding a new foundation and have been disappointed each time. Not pleased that they didn't say it was formula change (red cap was waste #1) and that I am now on the hunt for anything that will work (waste #2 and 3). Please bring back the old formula!!

Glad I’m not the only one that noticed the HUGE difference in the formula!! Super dissatisfied that it changed when they went to the red packaging. Believe what everyone says, the new packaging is completely different than the black, Demi-matte. The shades are different and the foundation is thick and doesn’t stay matte for me like the old formula. I used this for over 10 years it was my go to and the perfect shade ( I used 102/Shell Beige). Very depressing I now have to find another foundation that will not live up to Infallible’s old formula I’m sure. Just beware of this when buying!

I am very sad that the formula was changed. I ran out of my last bit that I had in the all black packaging. Went to purchase a new one with the new packaging and the color is completely different. I am in shade 103 and this new formula makes me look extremely ORANGE!

Change is not always good
This best foundation I have ever used is the L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte DEMI-MATTE foundation with the black cap. I have used it for years. It goes on smoothly, it is not thick or heavy, it does not settle into wrinkles or pores, and it doesn’t make your face shiny. It looks natural on and is as close to not wearing make-up as you can come. It covers up my freckles and evens out my skin tones without looking or feeling thick or cake.
The last time I bought this foundation it had a red cap, which I assumed was just a packaging change. Wrong. The formula in the red cap package is completely different. The color is the same, but it’s much thicker, it does not go on smoothly or evenly, and worst of all it accentuates every.single.pore.and.wrinkle. It is the opposite of everything I appreciated about the original.
It is SO hard to find the perfect foundation, and I am seriously let down that I have to again go in search of a new foundation when I had the perfect product. When you find a product you love, you stick with it. L’Oreal doesn’t reciprocate that loyalty.

I agree with everyone's comments here. The red cap full matte formula is ABSOLUTLY HORRIBLE. The black cap DEMI-MATTE formula was my absolute favorite for years. I am now looking for another brand that sells a foundation similar to that formula.

I used to love this foundation so much with the black cap and old packaging that said semi matte. This new one with a red cap that just says matte is so drying I had to take it off my face and redo my makeup. Please switch back to the old formula! I love and use the L’Oréal foundations all the time so this one with a new formula is really disappointing.
