Never going back
I’ve been using this eyeliner since high school. I can’t find any other eyeliner that has an actual brush tip that isn’t filled or plastic. And it’s so much easier than those cake eyeliners.. It’s really easy to take off a spit if you mess up, but once it dries, it will stay on. If they ever stop making this product, I will be a disaster.♥️

Bring back the lineur intense felt tip!
I was a huge fan of their carbon black lineur intense felt tip liquid eyeliner for the last 20 years and now that they have discontinued I tried this eye liner. The applicator does not work well and there is not as much control or precision. The formula is different. It flakes off and doesn't stay on. I will be switching brands since nothing is similar to the felt tip one.

Waste of money
This is the worst eye liner I have used! I was a huge fan of their carbon black liner intense felt tip liquid eyeliner and now that they have discontinued I switched to this eye liner. The applicator does not work well- it’s messy and there is not as much control. The formula is super clumpy n flakes off everywhere and the liner does not stay on either… it flakes or melts away. I spent almost $13 for a product I will never use again. Please bring the the original Lineaur Intense back. Been brand loyal but now looking at other brands…

Product Change
I've used this eyeliner for years. The last one I bought was different. I couldnt take it off, no matter what I did. Then my eyelids were irritated, either from the liner or all the scrubbing. I thought it might be because I bought it from Amazon, when I usually purchase it in CVS. So I bought a new one. Same thing. Did you change the formula and why? I dont think I can use this product anymore and I dont remember the last time I tried a different eyeliner. Are there any plans to return to the original formula?

Bad substitute for the original
I am not sure why you discontinued the original product. I have tried all of your eyeliners and none have been a substitute for the original. Unfortunately I have to seek out another brand.

New but Not Improved
I've used this product daily for the past 20+ years but the new applicator and formulation is awful. Does not apply smoothly and flakes. Please consider returning to the previous formulation. Until then, I'm on the search for a replacement.

THE best eyeliner I've ever used!!!
I've been using this eyeliner for a decade or longer And could find at the or Target closest to me so I tried the telescopic eyeliner and I was not impressed.
This Lineur Intense does not smudge and lasts from morning until evening with little to no touch up. Next time I'll wait to find a store that has this product in stock.

I don't know what happened here with this eyeliner. I've used it for years and I mean many years! It was great. They must have changed the formula because now it flakes off. This happened to me about a year ago. It had a funny smell and kept flaking off. So I went to another brand but still missing this one. So I thought the other day I would try it again. I put it on and sure enough it flaked off in spots. I wasted my money. I really wish they would go back to the old formula! It's a shame. I would not recommend this product now. Please please change the formula and go back to the old one.

Dissatisfied long time customer
The new formula burns my eyes and leaves creases on my eyelids. I've been using this product since the 8th grade. I am now 42. HIGHLY disappointed. I've spent so much on eyeliner and can't seem to find the one yet. 😕

Extremely disappointed after 2 decades of use.
After 2 decades of using this eyeliner exclusively I'm extremely disappointed that they clearly changed the formula for manufacturing this eyeliner. It now flakes off into my eyes when applying on waterline and cracks when applying on eye lids. This "new" product is also hard to remove with just water and my eyelashes have been falling. I used to exercise or accidentally sleep with eyeliner and it still held up all day and all night. Whatever the company changed please change it back! I would not recommend this new product to anyone.

Not good any more.
I have been using this product (Black or noir) for 35 years. It was always great, until recently. After applying it stays for a few hours and then cakes and begins to fall off. I keep buying it as it has the best applicator but cannot keep throwing my money away. $100.00 hundreds at this point.

Used to be perfect; Changed formula and applicator
I started using this eyeliner in 1993 when I was a senior in high school. I’ve used it faithfully since then. Within the last couple years, the formula and the applicator have changed, and not in a good way. The formula now transfers to my upper lid, whereas the original formula NEVER did that. Also, aside from issues with the rubber stopper coming out of the tube making it unusable, the applicator brush bristles are now too short and they don’t have the needed stiffness to control application. For the first time since 1994, I’ve started looking for an alternative.

BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA.
I have been using this liquid eyeliner since I was 13 (now 36 years old), and I hate the new formula. It now burns my eyes, and it also flakes and does not last like it used too. It also does not wash off easily like the old formula did. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMULA.

Liquid eyeliner formula change
I have been using this eyeliner for over 20 years. The formula has clearly changed. It's not smooth and will not go on in a nice, thin line anymore. The product is sticky and sticks/rubs off onto the upper lid, so an hour into my day, I have a giant black mark above my eyelid. I rub it off and it happens again until the eyeliner is completely rubbed off. It's embarrassing! I went back to my old eyeliner thinking my eyelids were just getting heavy and causing it to rub off, but the old eyeliner stayed on as usual. I bought another one thinking it was just a bad batch and it too rubs off. So over $20 wasted. Not sure why they changed a perfect product. I caller customer service 3 times before I was able to talk with someone without a thick accent or tv/kid/dog noise in the background. So unprofessional!

Clumpy product
Ive been using this product since my teen years, im very upset how this liner went down hill. Clumpy,hard to was it our, lashes come off... product not good how it was before. Will no longer purchase any L'Oreal eyeliners. Would like to get my money back for the 3 eyeliners I had purchased if possible.

Clumpy Product
I've been using this liner for all my life since my teens. Since the beginning of this year the quality of the product has diminished. I purchased two liners because i thought the 1st one i purchasd must of been old, so i compared the other two and was the same thing clumpy and glue like. It wasn't the same as the ones before. I began to remove the liner and washed my face with warm water and soap it was hard to come off it felt like i was removing eyelash glue, I was very upset. A few times when washing my liner off my real eyelashes came off 😬. It also gets clumpy very fast when applying it to my eyes and on the liner tube. I will no longer purchase L'Oreal eyeliners 😞.

New formula is horrible!
I’ve been using this product for YEARS, since I was 14 ( 31 now) and in the last year or so the quality/formula has gone extremely down hill. The liner no longer dries completely, and sticks to your upper lid when blinking to the point were it eventually smears all over the upper lid. (Hooded eye ladies stay away). I u fee stand they changed the formula for what they thought was for the better but this actually made it horribly worse..please bring back the old formula! The less sticky, one that dries completely one! You’ve lost a extremely loyal customer :(

Excellent product
I love this eyeliner, it is the only eyeliner I have used for many years; an exceptional thin brush and application is very smooth. My only suggestion to L’Oréal is please consider two additional softer shades of brown and gray for older women.

Changed product
This was my go to for decades, the formula has changed in the last year or so and is unusable. I bought a second tube from a different retailer thinking it was just a bad tube but both have throughout the day smeared on my eyelids above where it was applied. This happened with the classic black and the carbon black purchased in CVS and one from Amazon. Please please please go back to the old formula.

EYELINER DEVASTATION!!!
Over the years I've tried many eyeliners, but have always used Lineur Intense Brush Tip Liquid Eyeliner. There is no better; until now. The formula has changed and I'm devastated!!! Why would you change the best eyeliner on the market? It still goes on great, but removing it; which was so easy,has now become a nightmare. It cracks and little particle get so badly stuck on my face, that I have to scrub so hard to remove it and always find little bits of it the next morning all over my face. I then have to scrub my face so much that it's reached a point that I'm thinking of abandoning the product. It also clumps in the tube. I don't know if you switched to cheaper ingredients? I've bought 4 different tubes hoping that the ones I bought were just a defective batch. Please tell me that this is the case and that I will find my favorite eyeliner the way it was again. I buy all kinds of eyeshadows, mascaras etc., but for 25 years it's the ONLY thing that I have consistently used. I see that others have complained as well. HELP! Please bring back the eyeliner I love!

Disappointed to say, the least!
I have use this eyeliner for several years. In the last year the formula has been changed, and the product has begin to crack on the eyelid, and then it is very hard to get off with make up remover. What has changed about your product? Please go back to the old formula!

I have used the brown liner for years but was forced to go to the black because the brown was discontinued. The consistency of the liner is different and I am beyond disappointed. I will no longer use your eyeliner unless the brown original formula is reinstated.

I absolutely LOVE this eyeliner. It goes on smooth and doesn't clump. It dries quickly enough when applying, but not so rapidly that you don't have time to add to/change shape of your line or fix an error (like if your hand jiggled or something). It looks amazing, and stays on all day or night, yet is still simple to remove. It's fabulous!
* L'Oréal, please bring back the Plum color!

great look, won't last long
I love this product I have used it for YEARS I have never had an issue with it until now. After maybe 2 uses I noticed that the top of the container that is supposed to take off the excess product creaks off and gets stuck to the brush. I have tried to rise off the brush wipe off the excess product and nothing works. This is no fluke I've had this happen on 4 other occasions where I've bought the eyeliner from different places. this eyeliner is not cheap and if I have to buy a new one every few weeks I might as well buy another brand. i love the look it gives and always get compliments on it but this product failure is to much.

I have used this product for decades. Every time I try something new I go back to this. It doesn’t transfer and it lets me control the width of the line. Takes some skill to apply… but it is worth developing the skill. Best thing on the market imho.

I love this product! ... In my opinion, there's no other. It will surely enhance and complement your eyes. It's stunning!

Historically the best eyeliner, total TRASH now
So I have been a faithful user of this eyeliner for 25 years, respectfully. I use all super high end products but nothing has ever compared to how great this liner is. The brush is the best thing ever for small eyes. I cannot use felt tips for the life of me. However, in the recent years I have found this formula must have changed. It’s flakes, cracks and has a very pungent smell of cheap makeup. I am also finding it hard to find this anywhere. I purchased off of Amazon, so I assumed I got a fake version because of the change in formula. However, I no longer believe that. I have tried searching for comparable products with the same type of thin-paint brush tip but cannot find anywhere. Everything is a non-flexible, felt tip and for some reason I cannot master this brush. Hard to teach a old dog new tricks. I’m 40 years old and super sad that this eyeliner has went down hill. Bring back the old and amazing formula!

Has gone downhill over the past year
Like all of the others here, I’ve used this for decades. Mid-2022, I thought I purchased a bad tube because the formula was different. Since then, every tube has been a bad tube. It is so flaky now. I’m always finding flakes of black in my hairline. It’s gotten embarrassing because people ask if I’ve been painting something. I tried the different black color and buying it at different stores, and it’s clear it’s all like this now. Your long-time customers are talking to you, please listen. I’m switching to a new brand, but will try this one again next year to see if anything has changed.

Not the same formual
I've been using this product since the early 90's when I started wearing makeup. I loved this eyeliner, there were no other applicators like this one on the market. Over the last year I've noticed the quality is not the same. The applicator brush is bent and not pointed anymore and doesn't go on smoothly, it cracks after an hour of use and flakes off. I've also noticed that my eyes are irritated and swollen a lot now. I've purchased 4 new bottles thinking it was a fluke at first, but no, they all are like that.
With the product being so bad now it makes me think they are using cheaper ingredients and material for this product. I would pay the extra cost to have the original formula back.

Used to be great - not anymore
After reading these reviews, glad to hear it's not just me. I have used this liner for decades. But with the last 3 I bought, it keeps flaking off in clumps! What they heck are you doing?! Why mess with a great product. Instead of a generic reply, why doesn't the manufacturing dept. just figure out what they are doing wrong!

Different formula.. it's gross
I have used this eyeliner for more years than I can count but there's something different about this bottle that I don't like at all. It doesn't wipe off the same, it clumps off in pieces that get in my eyes and irritates them. There isn't another eyeliner with a brush like this on the market which is the biggest reason I love it, but please put the formula back or I'll have to find something else. As a bonus, please bring back the black/brown.

Bring it Back
I've been using this eyeliner for many, many years. No other eyeliner has a brush like this eyeliner and that is what makes all the difference with this eyeliner compared to all others. It's the brush!!!! Why can't you bring back the brown/black color? I know other customers have expressed the same thing about the color. Black is just too harsh for some women, or some women just need a choice. I can't use black. Please bring back the brown/black color!!!

Does seem recently to dry out or get thick quicker
I have used this product for many years. It has a brush applicator which makes it easy to apply a thin line. For years you had a brown/black color and now it is gone. Instead you have two shades of black, which seems redundant. Would also love a gray shade. Please bring it back. I will have to turn to another brand for brown. Blondes don't always want black.
