Stephanie Woodward

Stephanie Woodward is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Disability EmpowHer Network, a nonprofit run by and for girls and women with disabilities that connects, motivates, and guides disabled girls and women to grow, learn, and develop to their highest potential and have the confidence to lead.

An attorney, activist, and organizer, Stephanie is passionate about Disability Rights and empowering women and girls with disabilities. Growing up, Stephanie did not have any disabled women role models and often found herself as the only disabled woman in the room. In her early twenties, Stephanie met her first disabled woman role model, and will never forget the surge of confidence she felt finally being able to identify with a mentor who understood her as both a woman and a disabled person.

In 2020, Stephanie felt compelled to use her time to help uplift other girls and women with disabilities and, with the support of some incredible disabled women, Disability EmpowHer Network was born. Since then, Disability EmpowHer Network has gone from a fully volunteer organization to an operational nonprofit with seven successful national programs. It has helped more than 45 disabled girls and women land new paid work opportunities and promotions, more than 120 girls and women with disabilities connect with successful disabled women mentors, and more than 40 young women with disabilities begin leadership development programs.
