Babassu Oil Skin Benefits:

Babassu oil is obtained from the kernels present in the nuts of the Orbingyaoleifera tree found in Brazil. The components of babassu oil are a mixture of vitamins and fatty acids. This equips babassu oil with strong moisturizing and soothing properties. 1
As a moisturizing agent, babassu oil benefits work to hydrate the stratum corneum (top layer of the skin) and decrease the trans-epidermal water loss, thus increasing the smoothness and softness of the skin. As a result, the lipid barrier of the skin is improved and the skin’s natural moisture retention mechanism is enhanced. It is also suggested that babassu oil can have soothing properties. 1
