After 50 years, L’Oréal Paris’ iconic tagline, “Because You’re Worth It,” continues to forge a connection between feeling “worth it,” and being empowered to foster and inspire a sense of worth in others. No one understands this more than the L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth, who make a beautiful difference in their communities and the world.
Since 2006, L’Oréal Paris USA has recognized founders and leaders of grassroot non-profits that have supported a breadth of causes. Fueled by a strong sense of worth and purpose, these women show us the power just one individual can make in the lives of many. From advocating for youth literacy programs, empowering women victims of cyberbullying, to providing sustainable food solutions, these women continue to find unique and innovative ways to tackle some of society's most pressing issues for the greater good.
That’s why, each year, ten extraordinary women from across the United States, and their non-profit organizations, are selected from thousands of nominations to be honored as L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth. Each Honoree receives $20,000 in charitable funding and a national platform to share their story. America helps select one woman to be named the annual National Honoree through a national public vote, who goes on to receive an additional $25,000 to fund their philanthropic endeavors.
In November 2020, the L’Oréal Paris Women of Worth program introduced its first annual national broadcast special, bringing together L'Oréal Paris' spokeswomen including Helen Mirren, Viola Davis, Camila Cabello and others to highlight each Honoree's unique mission and bring their inspirational experiences to life.
