Arielle Galinsky Profile
About

Arielle is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Legacy Project, Inc. (TLP), a national non-profit connecting younger and older adults for multigenerational friendship and storytelling. TLP’s programming aims to combat social isolation & loneliness among participants, document life stories through published books, expose younger adults to careers in aging, & foster a future where age is no barrier to friendship.

Ignited by the loss of her grandfathers before she had the opportunity to learn their life stories, Arielle's grief and regret became the catalyst for ensuring others would not experience the same. What began as a high school passion project has now grown to over 75+ TLP chapters across the United States, connecting nearly 2,000 “olders” & “youngers” annually for multi-generational connection and storytelling.

TLP’s flagship programming unites students & older adults in their communities for an eight-month bi-directional interview and storytelling process, culminating in the production of a final published book per chapter filled with the life stories. TLP’s recently launched program, The Intergenerational Civic Changemakers, builds multi-generational friendships to drive civic change locally.

Arielle’s work has earned recognition as an Eisner Foundation Prize Fellow, a Young Futures Awardee, and received media features in TIME Magazine, NPR, TeenVogue, Stanford Center on Longevity Magazine, and more.

Beyond TLP, Arielle is a recognized voice in the aging and intergenerational movement, serving as a Board Member of CoGenerate and as a United Nations Representative with Generations United. Currently a JD/MPP Candidate at Yale Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School, Arielle is dedicated to building a future where multi-generational collaboration is the norm and advancing bold reforms that ensure every person can age with dignity, purpose, and meaningful connection.
