"Being a Women of Worth empowers DreamWakers to bring more professionals into public service, to connect the real world to more classrooms, and to serve, inspire and awaken the dreams of more students than ever before. "

About Monica Gray

Monica founded DreamWakers to improve the lives of underprivileged children by using the power of free video technologies to virtually connect diverse, dynamic professional leaders and speakers with children in public school classrooms. Today, more than two-thirds of employers have little or no interaction with children in public schools. In turn, children from low-income communities have fewer opportunities than their peers to engage with professionals from various occupations. To combat these staggering statistics, DreamWakers brings the ‘real world’ into schools with greater than 50 percent of students on free and reduced lunch to allow them to explore their professional passions at a young age.

About DreamWakers

DreamWakers is a national nonprofit that virtually connects fourth through 12th grade public school classrooms to professionals working across a variety of industries in the public and private sectors. The organization vets a variety of speakers to ensure that they are exceptional in their field, come from all walks of life, and have a message that will resonate with young people. Ultimately, DreamWakers seeks to expose students to a wide range of career paths to better prepare them for the future.
