The holidays can be the most wonderful—and the most stressful—time of the year. On the one hand, the holiday season means eggnog, soirees every weekend, and tons of family photo shoots. But on the other hand, it means fretting over looking your best at every single party/event/celebration you have to attend. But your makeup doesn’t have to be stressful. Here’s how to achieve the five gorgeous holiday party-worthy looks using L’Oréal Paris’ Infallible Paints collection.

Before you paint your face, it’s important to start off with an even, flawless canvas so your makeup can really shine. Use the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation to get the coverage you need without having it weigh you down. Apply the full-coverage foundation to cover up any dark spots, blemishes, and scars you may have. This lightweight foundation leaves you with a natural finish and—wait for it— can last all day long. To blend it in to your skin, apply your foundation with the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender. The blender’s exclusive plush material and easy-to-grip shape allow you to seamlessly apply your foundation like a pro.

Ready to get to work? Here are five pretty makeup ideas that will look stunning this time of year:

1. Shimmery Strobing

Strobing is another term for highlighting (a.k.a. getting that dewy, shimmering glow we’re all after). If you want to sparkle like a snowflake, here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Apply foundation. Like we said, this will ensure you have a flawless canvas on which to apply your makeup.

Step 2: Use a facial oil. For even more of a glow, place a couple drops of a facial oil onto your makeup sponge and blend it in to your skin.

Step 3: Contour with a matte bronzer. Swipe it on over your cheekbones and nose for definition.

Step 4: Highlight. Pick a sheer highlighter and brush it on to the high points of your face.

Step 5: Finish the look with blush. Apply the hot pink shade from the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Blush Kit over your highlighter to give yourself an extra touch of shimmer.

2. Festive Green Cat Eye

What better way to get into the holiday spirit than sporting eyeliner reminiscent of a Christmas tree? Apply the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Wild Green which features a .1 millimeter felt tip for liquid liner precision.

Step 1: Get drawing. Starting at the inner corner of your eye, draw a thin line along your lash line.

Step 2: Thicken the line. Starting at the middle of your eye, start to make the line thicker.

Step 3: Add your flick. Extend it past the outer corner of your eye, flicking the liner up toward your brow to finish your cat eye.

3. Gold Smoky Eye

The holidays—especially New Year’s—are all about glitz and glimmer. Amp up the metallic factor this season by opting for a gold smoky eye.

Step 1: Prime your lids. Apply an eyelid primer to help you create a smooth base.

Step 2: Go for the gold. Use a classic blending brush to apply a gold eye shadow shade, such as L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eye Shadow in Eternal Sunshine, to the inner corner of your eyes.

Step 3: Create a thick cat eye. Use the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Eyeliner in Black Party to draw a cat eye on your upper lid. Extend the liner past the crease of your eye and flick it upward. Also apply liner to your bottom lash line, focusing on the outer half of your eye. The felt tip allows for total control during application.

Step 4: Add more gold. Use a flat shadow brush to apply the gold eye shadow onto the rest of your lids.

Step 5: Blend out the black eyeliner. On your bottom lash line, smudge your liner out by using a dark brown shade, which will also add some dimension and create the smoky effect. Finish your look by adding the gold eye shadow to the inner corner of your lower lash line.

Step 6: Keep the rest of your face simple. Apply a nude color to your lips and a swipe of matte bronzer to your cheekbones to get the full look. Want to add some shine? Reach for a nude gloss to top everything off.

4. Deep Berry Matte Lip

The winter months call for dark and moody hues, especially when it comes to your pout. Try a deep berry lip for your next holiday party you attend or for a night out on the town.

Step 1: Exfoliate. When wearing a dark lip, it’s important to slough away any dead skin on your lips surface—otherwise flakes might be visible.

Step 2: Hydrate your pout. Use a lip balm post-scrub to lock in moisture. This can also help fill in any cracks from showing when you’re wearing dark lipstick.

Step 3: Prime your pucker. Apply a lip primer to ensure your color lasts.

Step 4: Apply your lipstick. Try the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip in Bewitching Bordeau. Start by outlining your lip using the pointed tip, and then fill in the rest.

5. Classic Red Lip

You can never go wrong with a red lip—especially when you’ve got parties galore. Let your bold red lips steal the show by keeping the rest of your makeup neutral.

Step 1: Make your eyes pop. Keep things simple by donning only the smallest hint of eye makeup. Use the L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Original Mascara for full fringe sans any flakes or clumps.

Step 2: Give your brows some much-needed attention. Use the L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist filling in your brows with the soft and creamy crayon for a natural finish. The Kabuki brush helps you get fuller-looking arches in a quick and even application.

Step 3: Prep your pout. Follow the same instructions as the deep berry lip—exfoliate with a DIY lip scrub, dab on a balm, and apply a primer.

Step 4: Paint the town red. Apply the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip Paints in DIY Red, outlining your lips first with the applicator before coloring in the rest.
