When you think of Easter, your first thought most likely revolves around childhood memories of Easter egg hunts and frilly dresses. Now that you’re all grown up, you can approach Easter from a different perspective, if you’d like to—with makeup! While Easter is probably not the right holiday to go crazy with dark lipstick colors and heavy face makeup, it’s most certainly the perfect opportunity to add a few sweet hues to your makeup repertoire. Not sure where to start? Here, we’re sharing four Easter makeup tutorials to try this spring.

EASTER MAKEUP TUTORIAL #1: LILAC LIDS

No time to master an expertly blended, pastel smoky eye? Try an all-over wash of pastel color instead! Lilac is the perfect eye shadow shade for spring and it can easily translate from day to night.

What you’ll need:

Eye primer

Small eye shadow brush

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Paints Metallics Eyeshadow in Violet Luster

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof, Up to 24HR Pencil Eyeliner in Black

L’Oréal Paris Voluminous X Fiber Mascara

Get the look by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Prime your lids

To ensure your lilac eye shadow shade in place throughout the entirety of the Easter festivities, it’s best to start your makeup routine by applying a quick dab of eye makeup primer on each lid.

Step 2: Dust on your allover color

Open your lilac shadow and swirl the shimmering shade across your lids for an Easter-ready look.

Step 3: Finish with eyeliner and mascara

Since your lid look is super-simple, you’ll want to give it a little extra sass by creating a crisp wing tip with black eyeliner and topping things off with a coat or two of volumizing fiber mascara.

EASTER MAKEUP TUTORIAL #2: PINK AND PURPLE OMBRÉ LIDS

How about having double the fun with a pink and purple pastel eye makeup look? To keep your look pretty and soft—which is the perfect aesthetic for spring—create an ombré effect using the two shades.

What you’ll need:

Eye primer

L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow in Burst Into Bloom

L’Oréal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eyeshadow in Always Pearly Pink

Blending eye shadow brush

L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Liquid Eyeliner in Black

L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Washable Mascara

Get the look by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Start by priming your lids

A dab of eye makeup primer on each lid should do the trick.

Step 2: Create your fade

Start by placing your purple eye shadow on the outer corners of your upper lids. Next, add pink eye shadow on the inner half of your lids. To create the perfect, seamless fade, move a blending brush in small circles over the middle of your lids where the two shades meet.

Step 3: Finish with eyeliner and mascara

A quick swipe of voluminous mascara, paired with ultra-thin kitten tip eyeliner will beautifully tie this look together.

EASTER MAKEUP TUTORIAL #3: TEAL and PURPLE eye makeup

This gorgeous Easter-inspired eye makeup look involves purple on your upper lid and teal on your lower lash line.

What you’ll need:

Eye primer

Small eye shadow brush

L'Oréal Paris Infallible 24HR Eye Shadow in Perpetual Purple

Tapered eye shadow brush

L'Oréal Paris Infallible 24HR Eye Shadow in Endless Sea

L'Oréal Paris Infallible The Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner in Black

Black mascara

Get the look by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Prime your lids

You already know the drill: Apply a light layer of eyeshadow primer on your entire upper eyelid to will help ensure that your eye shadow look goes on evenly and lasts for as long as possible.

Step 2: Dust on your top color

Using a small eye shadow brush, dust your purple eye shadow onto your upper lid. For a more dramatic effect, extend the purple color all the way up to your crease.

Step 3: Line your lower lash line

With your tapered eye shadow brush, line your bottom lash line with teal eye shadow.

Step 4: Apply a thin line of eyeliner

Apply a thin line of black eyeliner along your upper lash line only.

Step 5: Top it off with mascara

To finish off the look, apply a few coats of black mascara on both your upper and lower lashes.

EASTER MAKEUP TUTORIAL #4: THE PERFECT COMPLEXION

Whichever Easter makeup look you decide to rock with your Sunday best, be sure to pair it with an equally perfect complexion.

What you’ll need:

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Glow Lock Makeup Primer

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Glow Foundation

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender

L’Oréal Paris True Match™ Color Correcting Crayons

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Full Wear Concealer Waterproof, Full Coverage

L’Oréal Paris True Match™ Lumi Bronze It Bronzer

Angled face brush

L’Oréal Paris True Match™ Lumi Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Sweep & Lock Loose Setting Face Powder

Get the look by following these simple steps:

Step 1: Start with makeup primer

Whenever you’re hoping your makeup look will make a statement, you better believe you’ll want it to last. That’s where makeup primer comes in.

Step 2: Color correct your complexion

If your skin has the appearance of redness, dullness, dark circles, or sallowness, use color correctors to camouflage your skin care concern(s). By applying these colorful concealers before your foundation, you’ll be able to avoid using more foundation than you need.

Step 3: Apply your foundation

Apply a radiant finish foundation, blending it onto your face with a makeup blender.

Step 4: Brighten your under-eyes with concealer

Next, swipe a little concealer under your eyes. You can use your makeup blender again to blend the concealer out for a seamless effect.

Step 5: Chisel your cheeks

To give your face a bit more definition, swipe bronzer onto the hollows of your cheeks using an angled brush. Next, dot your upper cheekbones with highlighter drops to get your glow on.

Step 6: Seal your makeup look

Sweep a setting powder over your face with a fluffy makeup brush.

Step 7: Play up your pout

Regardless of which Easter makeup look you choose, be sure to top it off with a pretty pink pout. Try the L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Shine Lipstick in Dewy Petal for a glossy lip look or the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Matte Les Chocolats Scented Liquid Lipstick in Candyman if you’re partial to matte finishes.
