When it comes to rocking your natural hair, you have so many different hairstyles and methods at your disposal, including twists-outs, traditional hard rollers, flexi rods, and more. But at the end of the day, no matter what style you choose, you likely just want your curls and coils to look healthy and feel moisturized. That’s where your products come in and the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Super Curls Cream Leave-In is one to add to your list of must-haves if you’re a curly girl. This deeply nourishing hair cream is formulated to create soft and bouncy curls on all hair types. So if you’ve attempted a flexi rod set before with no success, or you want to give a wash n’ go style a try for the first time, you’ve come to the right place. Read on for three step-by-step tutorials on how to style your hair using the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Super Curls Cream Leave-In to keep your locks looking beautiful and feeling healthy.
From space buns to wash-and-go styles, these hair tutorials will help you get your mane together for the summer. But before jumping into the process, you’ll need to gather a few items. For these styles, you’ll need a hairbrush, bobby pins, a fine-tooth comb, gel, hair elastics, and a hair scarf. Now let the fun begin!
The easiest natural hairstyle has to be the wash-and-go, because well, it’s just like the name suggests—you wash your hair and go about your day. And the number of styling products you use are totally up to you.
STEP 1: To achieve beautiful bouncy curls, you’ll need to start off with clean hair. Use the L’Oréal Paris EverPure Sulfate-Free Scalp Care Detox Scrub, L’Oréal Paris EverPure Sulfate Free Scalp Care + Detox Shampoo, and the L’Oréal Paris EverPure Sulfate Free Scalp Care + Detox Conditioner. This system is formulated to deeply purify and cleanse your strands by removing excess dirt, product build-up, and oil. Its formula also includes menthol and neem leaf extract, which will leave the scalp feeling fresh for up to 24 hours. Start off by applying the detox scrub to the scalp while your hair is wet, gently massage it into your scalp and rinse out. Follow up with the shampoo and conditioner.
STEP 2: After washing your hair, section your mane into four large quadrants by creating a part straight down the middle of your scalp and then another part going across the scalp horizontally. Then apply a leave-in conditioner like the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Super Curls Cream Leave-In throughout each quadrant to condition and nourish your strands.
STEP 3: Bring all the sections together and apply a generous amount of the L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Clean Style Gel to your entire mane. Make sure to gently scrunch your strands as you apply the gel to get a more defined curl texture and you’re all set!
If you prefer keeping your strands up and out of your face during hot and sweaty summer days, this is a great style for you. Don’t believe us? Try it out for yourself!
STEP 1: Apply a dime-sized amount of the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Super Curls Cream Leave-In, and spritz some water throughout your entire mane. Use a comb to detangle any knots and prep your hair for styling.
STEP 2: Split your hair into two equal sections by creating a middle part. Make sure your part is as straight as possible with the same amount of hair on each side and use a mirror—you don’t want your space buns to be lopsided.
STEP 3: Gather one section of hair and put it into a ponytail toward the top back of your head. Make sure to smooth out any bumps during the process with your hairbrush. Your placement can be adjusted based on your preference, just keep in mind that the base of your ponytail will be where your space bun lays. Once you’ve created a ponytail to one side of your part, create an identical ponytail on the other side.
STEP 4: To create your space buns, wrap the length of your hair around the base of your ponytail. Hold this newly-formed bun into place while you secure it with bobby pins. Make sure to use bobby pins to secure your bun, and repeat this step on the other side.
Let your natural texture hang loose while keeping curls off your neck with this super-cute pineapple-inspired ‘do.
STEP 1: After washing your hair, apply the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Dream Lengths Super Curls Cream Leave-In all over your strands. Use a brush to distribute the product evenly, and gently scrunch your curls to give them more shape and definition. Then let your hair dry.
STEP 2: Once your hair has completely dried, pull your locks into an ultra-high ponytail towards your forehead and secure them with a hair tie. Your ponytail should be somewhat loose so that your curls can hang.
STEP 3: Grab a hair scarf, fold it into a triangle, and turn it into a long headband. Then wrap it around the bottom of your head so that you can tie it into a knot or bow on top. Apply a small amount of the L’Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil Treatment to your fingertips and rub it onto your curls to add some shine. And that’s all there is to it!
