How to Get Neon Peach Hair

How to Get Neon Peach Hair How to Get Neon Peach Hair How to Get Neon Peach Hair

Looking for a quick way to switch up your beauty look? There’s nothing that says “new me” like sporting a new hair color. One hair color trend that we’re loving—and that you’ve probably seen gracing your social media feeds—is neon peach hair. This beauty trend is envy-worthy (and totally picture-worthy, so be sure to have your phone handy). Here are a few steps you can take to rock this trendy hair color.

STEP #1: PREP YOUR HAIR

A good rule to have whenever you dye your hair, regardless of the color, is to make sure your strands are prepped and moisturized. Hair color can lead to dry and damaged hair if you don’t take proper care of your locks. Grab a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, like the L’Oréal Paris EverPure Moisture Shampoo and L’Oréal Paris EverPure Moisture Conditioner. These products will replenish your hair with 2 times more moisture. Their formula is sulfate free and safe for color-treated hair, so you can use it after dying your hair to keep your color and hydrated. If you want to go the extra mile (and we recommend that you do), use a hair mask after the shampoo and conditioner. The L’Oréal Paris EverPure Deep Moisture Hair Sheet Mask is sulfate free and envelopes your strands in a layer of nourishing cream to replenish moisture.

STEP #2: …AND THEN BLEACH IT

Once your hair is prepped, you’ll likely need to lighten your strands. If you already have platinum blonde hair, you may be able to skip this step, but a darker mane will require bleaching your hair to ensure your neon peach hair color is as vibrant and bright as you’re envisioning. Use an at-home bleach, like the L’Oréal Paris Colorista Bleach, to lighten and brighten your mane. Follow the directions included in the box and give your hair a break after bleaching before coloring.

STEP #3: PICK THE RIGHT HAIR DYE

Now that it’s time to dye your hair, go on the hunt for a peach hair color. You’ll have to decide if neon peach hair is a look you want to keep for a while, or something you’d rather have wash out in a few days. If you’re ready to commit to peach hair, use a permanent hair color. If you’d rather test out the waters or simply have a brief fun color, use a semi-permanent hair color, like the L’Oréal Paris Colorista Semi Permanent Hair Color in Peach.

Editor’s Note: Consider buying two boxes of your hair color of choice if you have very long or thick hair so you don’t run out of product mid-dye. If you don’t end up using the second box, you can save it for a later date to touch up your hair or roots!

STEP #4: DYE YOUR MANE

Once you’ve bought your hair color it’s time to put on your hair dying gloves and get down to business. Follow the directions in the packet included with your hair color and apply away! Wait the allotted amount of time before rinsing.

STEP #5: SHOW OFF YOUR NEW LOCKS

Hooray, you did it! Your hair is a fabulous, trendsetting neon peach and it’s time to show off your new and improved locks to the world. Don’t forget to wear a bold hair style that will compliment your color. Read our article, 10 Hairstyles That Transition from Day to Night for some hair styling inspo.

STEP #6: MAINTAIN YOUR HAIR COLOR

After switching up your hair color, you’ll likely want it to last as long as possible. In addition to using the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner we mentioned above, add a hair treatment like the L’Oréal Paris EverPure 10-In-1 Elixir to your routine. The formula includes Indian lilac botanicals and will help your hair grow stronger and reflect color radiance.
