I been using this color for years to highlight my hair till recently year I change my hair style and do ambre. This is the best product! I love it! But the annoying part is putting the cap on and have to use that metal thingy to poke through the hair and pull some hair out. It takes a while to pull all the hair out from all the holes... on the cap so I just poke few here and there till I like it. I always use Loreal to dye my hair ;D

I previously used Feria B61 Downtown Brown to provide multi-tonal color to shoulder length fine hair bob. Bad mistake; hair was drab flat mouse brown. I called consultant who recommended Frost & Design and advised me to test often and go through all color changes (brown, red, orange, yellow, light) Doing the pull through cap by mysel...f was nearly impossible; took me 3 hours to do all over, and I pre-punched the holes. The metal hook did not readily grab my hair and it hurt, but I persisted. Applied color after 4 test strands. Color lift took 65 minutes and still looked pinkish. I thought I had made huge mistake the entire time, but persisted, rinsed out, shampooed. Did not apply conditioner which I always need, applied toner, dried. Lo and behold, hair looks great! Many tones, lightens up and blends the drab mouse brown into vibrant dark blond, which is what I was going for. It isn't perfect; with cap it is very hard to get close to roots. Hair is dry but I think will be ok when I next wash and condition. Took a long time, definitely get a partner for pull through cap. I only used half of the mixture, so would definitely use half next time. But looks good and I am happy.

I was looking for a highlighting kit, that had a subtle, but still noticeable lift. This gave more of a lift than expected, but I still absolutely loved the way my hair turned out the first time, since then (3 months ago) I have re-purchased and re-dyed my hair and the results matched the previous results. I was absolutely 100% pleas...ed and I recommend this if you are looking for a highlighting kit. The only down side is the highlighting cap hurts when you poke the hook through the plastic and it digs in your scalp.

Light grey cap marks are RIDICULOUS!! I've used this products for years and like it very much UNTIL they changed the hole marks from purple to light grey. I do my own hair in the bathroom leaning into the mirror with a hand mirror so I can see. I used to be able to do this without a problem when the marks were purple. Now I have to b...e a contortionist to see the marks!! Whoever decided that change in mark color was acceptable should be FIRED!! I challenge ANYONE at Loreal to pull hair out of that cap by themselves. Guarantee they have NEVER tried it.

I am highly upset with this product. My daughters hair was always blonde and over the last year it got really dark. She started loosing her self-esteem badly and was really down in the dumps, so I said, hey lets do your hair! She was totally psyched! She obviously chose blonde, her hair is very long and is what some would consider as... a dark blond or super light brown. We matched her hair color to the side of the box and decided it should turn out great! The first night we tried pulling her hair through the cap, it took so long just to get one side done, we ended up giving up and going to bed! Re-started the next day, having the same issues, pulling her hair out of the other holes and tangling it terribly! It was my worst experience with a cap ever! And it says great for long hair? Not! After many many hours of pulling and yanking her hair to get it through the holes, finally we were ready to color! We did everything as directions stated, even followed some tips on line etc. When it was all said and done, it was half gold and half bleach blond, spots all through her hair? alot of the strands were still the light brown color about 2 inches or 3 inches down the strand, others started up close to the roots. It turned out horrible. It completely ruined her hair. We are both more than disappointed and would NEVER recommend this product to a friend or even an enemy. I was very dissatisfied with the product and when it was all over, I took another look at the cap, and it appears the holes are not evenly spaced, we only pulled hair through the holes with circles around them, but when i started looking at the holes closely and the pattern, there was no pattern it was obviously a manufacturer defect. I think they need to be a lot more careful when manufacturing these caps, need to realize they are not only messing with someones hair colour, but with someones entire life! I cannot express enough how disappointed we are!!! Thanks for taking my daughters low self-esteem and burying it in the ground!
